BEWARE! RENT ELSEWHERE! DO NOT RENT A TRUCK HERE! What a shit show.... I booked a reservation online for a truck that I needed for an hour & was charged $150 as a holding fee/deposit. Sounds good. That was fine. Upon pick up my reservation was no where to be found. Because we needed the truck we decided to book another reservation there in person under my boyfriend. His info, his card etc.. We assumed being that the reservation couldn't be found and the order wasn't fulfilled that the charge would eventually fall off or be reversed. I wasn't too worried about it at the time. We continued with the new reservation, returned the truck, and all was fine. A week later my card was charged $824!?!? When I called about this issue no one knew anything!! The person at the rental department was not very helpful, was frustrated with me and basically said he can't find anything therefore he can't do anything. 3 hours of wasted time later after being redirected to the customer service desk multiple times where no one ever answered, left on hold for 20+ minutes multiple times, calling back, being disconnected, even trying the text help service, sent to different departments that supposedly could help but ultimately couldn't.... I FINALLY got a very nice lady from one of the 1-800 numbers who got me on the phone with a manager Joe in the SAME STORE I HAD BEEN CALLING.. Joe at first seemed helpful, stating how sorry he was, how they would look further into this to resolve the issue. But then called me back (with a more hostile tone) and said IT says we didn't charge you so basically oh well, dispute it with your bank. WHAT!? That's your fix??? I've been nothing but nice through out this VERY frustrating process and was left feeling as if I did something wrong for trusting this store and using their services. Overall, rent somewhere else that actually knows how to navigate their systems unless you're okay with money being taken from you at no fault of your own and poor customer service in resolving an issue....

I hear them making late night deliveries all the time. There store signs say delivers after 10 made to back. I still hear the delivery truck infront.

I recently went to this Ace to buy some steel from their metals rack. I found it nearly empty, with…read morenothing I could use. When I asked an employee how often it was re-stocked, they shrugged and said, "I dunno" and pointed me to the manager. Really?? Okay... The manager said he was too busy to help me, a paying customer. When I asked if there was someone else who wasn't too busy to help a customer, this "manager" did the same shrug and "I don't know" AND THEN TURNED AWAY FROM ME. His name badge said Andy or Andrew. Unreal! Like a Twilight Zone episode! Never in my life have I experienced retail staff as rude and incompetent as this. I could see why he was "too busy to help me" though, since the store was torn apart and seemed to be getting renovated while they were open - it was a huge mess with junk all over the floor in the aisles, and trip hazards everywhere. If I were you, I'd give this place a miss and find ANY OTHER ACE to shop at. Oh hey, why are there so many totally unrelated photos from "reviewers"?

This Ace location has always been great to me. The employees are friendly and helpful. If I flag…read moredown a worker on the floor who can't help me, that worker will bring me to someone that can. They seem to always have what I need in stock, especially specific nuts and bolts. Pricing is very fair too. Love having this Ace in my neighborhood.

At Home Depot you walk 200 yards before seeing anyone in an orange vest. And you can never find…read moreanyone who knows anything in the department you're in. At Ace on 9th, you walk in 2 yards to be greeted by a knowledgeable guy asking whatcha looking for, then he shows where it is. I haven't felt this at-home since Thanksgiving '98 when Grandpa and I road a tandem bicycle to Olive Garden and filled our bellies to the brim with bottomless salad and breadsticks! (He's passed away now - gluten allergy) When walking into the store, you may shed a tear, because at this Ace hardware, you're family. The kind staff and I always hold hands as I browse about the store...and NO it's NOT because they're concerned for my safety!! Stop being silly, ya silly goose...Maybe a wrench, maybe some rock salt, heck maybe even just a random bottle of hot sauce...the options are endless! They have everything, at very reasonable city prices. Once I've satisfied my nearly insatiable craving for browsing the aisles of doorknobs and extension chord, I check out, exchanging a knowing smirk with the cashier...and on my way home I KNOW I'll sleep better tonight..:because "Like a good neighbor, Ace Hardware is there"!

Ordering online makes things easy…read more Curbside pickup didn't work. After checking in, designating my parking space, and, after 15 minutes, nobody brought out my purchases. I had to go inside. Helpful staff inside when searching for things. Always helpful and pleasant staff. The holiday items are out early. I like that. The smell of wood brings me back. And the buckets. There was a bucket lid shortage last time I was there. So many buckets. No lids to be found. I chuckled at the lidless inventory. I just needed a lid yo.

Unfortunately, the experience I had with one of the employees, Mathew, was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. After asking for assistance to get a refrigerator down from a shelf, Mathew arrived looking irritated from the moment he showed up. While I was speaking with a very kind older woman in the appliance department and asking her opinion on the various mini fridges, I could visibly see Mathew growing more impatient by the minute. In an effort to move things along, I asked him to retrieve a smaller fridge from the middle shelf. When he brought it down, I noticed it had a puncture and expressed concern that it might be damaged. Rather than acknowledging my concern, he ignored me and instead repeated what I said to the other employee. When I asked if he was planning to get a different one for me, he became even more irritated. I ultimately told him "never mind" because his attitude was becoming frustrating -- to which he replied, loud enough for both of us to hear, that he didn't "give a [expletive]." I immediately reported the incident to the supervisor on duty, who told me they would pass it along to the manager on Monday. However, based on the interaction, I'm not confident it was ever escalated. I'm a veteran, and I've always believed in treating others with respect -- and being treated the same in return. The lack of professionalism, respect, and basic customer service I experienced from this young employee was unacceptable. If someone doesn't want to interact with customers, they shouldn't be in a customer-facing role. I left without making a purchase and went to a different store where the staff treated me like my business actually mattered. I've shopped here before, but after this experience, I won't be returning.

I have a theory about HD…read more.. The location and demographics of each HD dictates the friendliness I was shocked out how friendly and helpful each employee I encountered at this HD in Arvada. People stopped what they were doing to give me directions to the items I needed. I didn't get any of that Home Depot stare away and walk the other way from any of the people working there....shocking really. Compare this to the HD on Colorado Blvd, in Denver, where employees see you coming and they run the other way. This is an amazing location!

I leave my cart with her thinking, "Yes ma'am, hold my treasures while I grab a rug and live my best life." Now here's where the tulips wilt. I head to get a rug cut. Crickets. Not a soul in sight. No orange aprons. No wandering associates. Just me and my increasingly dramatic inner monologue. Fine. Washer/dryer section. I find a sweet girl just vibing. Bless her heart, she pages someone overhead. We wait. And wait. And WAIT. Twenty minutes later, the only thing that showed up was my irritation. I go searching again. A security guard does the classic "I do not see you." Matt at paint? Smiles politely and then executes a professional eye-avert. The washer/dryer girl? Vanished into the retail abyss. A new associate appears.....glaring at her current customer like they personally offended her ancestors. I try. I circle. I wander. Fifteen more minutes. Alas. No rug. No help. Just unmet potential. So here's the tea: Garden Center = 10/10, springtime magic. Amy at checkout = MVP, give her a raise. Rug cutting situation = a mystery worthy of its own investigation series. I left disappointed , not mad, just that specific kind of retail heartbreak where you know it could've been a five-star moment. What has happened since my last 5 ?? Do better, my beloved Home Depot. Spring waits for no one.
