We are visiting from NH and stopped by Home Depot (I mean what better thing to do on a chilly Colorado day with a 9 yr old and 4 yr old?!?). My wife and I are looking to replace a number of doors in our home, so it was a two birds, one stone sort of thing. WOW, we hit the JACKPOT! Gary, in the doors section, was PHENOMENAL! Not only did he walk us through all the questions to ask, but kept our kids busy along the way without missing a beat! He handed coloring books to our 4 yr old, set her up in the "fancy chair" and challenged our son to open and close as many doors as possible...AND was sure to remind him to watch his fingers! What made this even more amazing was that he knew from the get go that we wouldn't be buying today. BUT while we didn't purchase from THIS store, his customer service ensured that we will be going straight to our local HD with our order in hand! This is how customer service SHOULD look! read more

I enjoy Home Depot over the competitor, I do not like its location or the small parking lot but I do enjoy it for getting what I need. I can usually find someone who will help me with my needs and get me where I need to go. The prices are basically same regardless where you go so it really depends what brand product your looking for and who has the better service and hands down I choose Home Depot first plus they have awesome little kid work shops my kids love and enjoy! read more

Do NOT have Appliances delivered through this company. Oh guess what....that isn't an option....everything in store says "Delivery Only". My daughter took time off work to meet the time and date schedule....11:30-3:30....they pulled up in front of my house and were gone by 11:25. My wife called immediately....Driver was rude and said Too bad...we work on commission you will have to reschedule. And now I'm going to lose a freezer full of meat. What a joke! I called to ask a few questions, and he answered all of them with professionalism, and friendliness. He took the time to go and check on a small potted sage plant. He didn't act annoyed, he seemed happy to help. Thank you Jake! You are a great asset to the Home Depot company! read more

BEWARE! RENT ELSEWHERE! DO NOT RENT A TRUCK HERE! What a shit show.... I booked a reservation online for a truck that I needed for an hour & was charged $150 as a holding fee/deposit. Sounds good. That was fine. Upon pick up my reservation was no where to be found. Because we needed the truck we decided to book another reservation there in person under my boyfriend. His info, his card etc.. We assumed being that the reservation couldn't be found and the order wasn't fulfilled that the charge would eventually fall off or be reversed. I wasn't too worried about it at the time. We continued with the new reservation, returned the truck, and all was fine. A week later my card was charged $824!?!? When I called about this issue no one knew anything!! The person at the rental department was not very helpful, was frustrated with me and basically said he can't find anything therefore he can't do anything. 3 hours of wasted time later after being redirected to the customer service desk multiple times where no one ever answered, left on hold for 20+ minutes multiple times, calling back, being disconnected, even trying the text help service, sent to different departments that supposedly could help but ultimately couldn't.... I FINALLY got a very nice lady from one of the 1-800 numbers who got me on the phone with a manager Joe in the SAME STORE I HAD BEEN CALLING.. Joe at first seemed helpful, stating how sorry he was, how they would look further into this to resolve the issue. But then called me back (with a more hostile tone) and said IT says we didn't charge you so basically oh well, dispute it with your bank. WHAT!? That's your fix??? I've been nothing but nice through out this VERY frustrating process and was left feeling as if I did something wrong for trusting this store and using their services. Overall, rent somewhere else that actually knows how to navigate their systems unless you're okay with money being taken from you at no fault of your own and poor customer service in resolving an issue.... read more

Morton told us he was supposed to get off 30 minutes ago but said he would try to find somebody. Morton returned a few minutes later, couldn't find anybody, so he said he would help us himself. Avoid the home appliances like the plague. Purchased a washer and dryer from them about six months ago and requested to have them delivered. Coordinated a specified delivery timeframe, was instructed that they would call the night before to confirm delivery time which they never did. Fast-forward to delivery time they just showed up and fortunately I was there able to receive the shipment. Fast-forward to last Sunday, my wife and I bought an additional dryer for our rental property and was instructed that the dryer would be delivered Friday, June 6. No phone call the night before, nobody showed up, and they went ahead and called a phone number for my pro account, which is an old phone number. Furthermore, neither of the phone numbers we supplied them for the delivery. Instructions were called so when the delivery truck broke down last week, they called a nonexistent number, furthermore, no one was able to be notified that the delivery we had solidified was not actually going to happen. I called after learning that our dryer was not delivered on the day it was supposed to I'd followed up with Home Depot and had learned that they had changed delivery companies and the soonest they would be able to deliver. My dryer would be on the 18th. Over two weeks after making the initial purchase of the dryer. Unacceptable. Then the manager called to give me some bullshit. Excuses also provided was no actual understanding or flexibility, just them vehemently stating that they couldn't get a drive to me sooner than eight days, which is ironic because when we actually went into purchase the dryer for the original delivery date they were only three days out. Now they're eight days out? Lowe's for the win read more

Worst associates I have ever encountered. 3 out of 4 were horrible. Two older ladies and one older man. One was literally mean. The other literally stands under a customer service sign and rendered no such concept. Very rude. Home Depot Wayne was the man of the day. I stopped in to get a key made and he was so chipper. Not to just me but he took time out for my dog, a pet and a treat, what more could she ask for? Most of the time I go to any of the Home Depot's, I encounter really nice people. Wayne Just happened to be the lucky person that I wrote about today. Do not ever buy an appliance for delivery from Home Depot, there is zero coordination with the customer or 3rd party installation crew. - Showed up without necessary materials to install new dryer, and left old dryer in place, told us we had to reschedule. - Second attempt, showed up without the new dryer, with only orders to remove the old dryer, confirmed they still would not have had the correct exhaust tube to install, even if they had the dryer as they were suppose to. Not enough help. We purchased a dishwasher. They were very busy. The computer wouldn't work correctly. So had to wait for a different salesperson to finish the purchase. The delivery people they used were nice, however a few days later my dishwasher is leaking. Had to call a plumber as no one could come out for another 13 days. Turns out they did not tighten the water hose nor did they set up the dishwasher correctly. The tabs were not connected to the counter. They are still supposed to come out to correctly put in the dishwasher. I will be requesting my installation money back as well as the plumber bill. read more

We hired Home Depot to do our kitchen remodel... a year and 2 months ago! Yep, that's right! It took Home Depot a year plus to finish a job that we were told would only take a few months! We paid $22,000 for moderate materials, bad installs, major delays, calls to be ignored, staff to be rude and sexist, and now that it is time to discuss compensation, we, once again, can not get anyone to return our calls! I truly have been more than patient, tolerant, and polite, even pleasant (except for a few instances, that were well deserved.) I tolerated being talked down to, patronized, and again, ignored! DO NOT use Home Depot for any remodeling!!! Their prices are ridiculous! Their materials and labor subpar, at best. Go somewhere else! read more

I had to do a return of a wrong sized air filter. Apparently the kid at the return desk thinks it's cool to drum on the counter during pauses in activity. Add to that I wanted to buy a drill and walked around and around and around the store looking for help. Asked a cashier to call for help waited, waited some more. Finally just left. The Home Depot store #1507, Crestline and Wadsworth has completed the second replanting of the east side of the store in a green belt area. The first planting was wonderful but died shortly after because of lack of water. The second planting was completed in August and looks wonderful. 20 or so evergreen trees were just planted. I am hopeful that this area will flourish and grow. WATERING TREES is important. This area will grow and cover the staging and storage area behind the east side of the store. Grant Ranch and especially Eagle Ridge will benefit from the new green row of trees. Very much appreciated. read more

We just moved into the neighborhood, and everyone I encounter in this store has been very nice and helpful. Most recently I got some pieces of wood cut down to size. They were very accommodating and even gave me a discount for parts of the wood that was scarred and not usable. Usually they just charge you for the whole chunk anyways. read more

After finding out the propane tank my apartment allows for grilling was completely empty and had problems refilling the tank, I made my way to Home Depot to exchange the tank. I was greeted and helped by the nicest man ever. He explained why it might not be filling correctly and pointed me in the right direction to find various propane tanks. I chose the littlest one and made my way back to the register. He looked at me, smiled and said " we're all done"!! We ordered a door from Home Depot to be installed in our house. The contractor was to arrive between 8 and 9 AM yesterday. Since they hadn't arrived at the house by 11, we called the contractor to find out when they would arrive. Since no one called us by noon, we called Home Depot to find out what was keeping the contractor. Home Depot said that they would call the contractor and call us right back. It's 2 PM the following day and no call from the contractor or Home Depot. We've started calling Home Depot to cancel our order, but we are having problems getting someone to confirm that our order is cancelled and we won't be charged for the door that was never delivered or installed. read more

My son and I went into Home Depot this morning to look for an artificial Christmas tree. We found one we wanted to buy but since my son just had hand surgery, we needed help. A employee by the name of Gabriella was right there and not only did she give us personal attention, but she got a cart and picked up a 9' Christmas tree in the box, hauled it to the register, checked us out and then took it to our car and loaded it for us. Over and beyond good customer service! Employees like this should be rewarded. read more

We've used the Home Depot frequently. While not big purchases, we've done lots of little projects through them and never had an issue. Today we had a paint issue. Bought another quart of previously purchased paint, got it home and the color didn't match! Went back armed with both paints and ready to battle, but only found a helpful customer service person who gave us store credit back for the quart of paint. Then we went to the paint department where Chuck absolutely agreed the colors were off, and helped us make sure the new one was the correct color. He said he had many years experience in painting, and also gave us pointers about rollers and brushes. Really appreciated the Home Depot and their staff today! read more

I received outstanding service from Terry who works in Customer Service. She went above and beyond all my expectations. I had an issue with a Weber grill. She looked at all the options available. After the first option didn't work I returned and there was Terry ready and eager to find a solution. After coming up with more suitable solutions she reached out to Jennifer the manager on duty and she helped execute the perfect outcome. As a store manager myself I know the importance of good customer service. Terry and Jennifer went above and beyond the meaning of outstanding customer service. Some floor employees are very helpful and will ask if you need assistance others will avoid eye contact. The cashier assistant (no way to pay except self pay unless you are a "pro". She was annoyed with life and therefore customers were a big thorn in her side. Not a good experience at all. read more

Yesterday, I tried 4 times to contact an appliance salesman to ask a question about a dishwasher we bought earlier in the day. After no answer, the calls were routed to an operator, who routed me to the appliance department. After a few rings, each call disconnected. That's inexcusable. Home Depot has enough money to configure their phone system so it doesn't disconnect people. And it has enough money to staff their departments to answer calls, or at least take voice mail messages. Last major appliance purchase I'll ever make from HD. read more

I shop at Home Depot regularly. I think this is one of the best locations in this area of town (there are 4 that I visit, depending on whether I'm coming from work, looking for plants, etc.). I've always had great service here, and they have a lovely greenhouse and great plants in the spring and summer. I was in tonight and Jennifer helped me with some plumbing items, and I also got some friendly and efficient help from a gentleman at the paint counter (I'm sorry, I forgot his name.). The employees here don't shy away from asking if you need help, and if they can't, they try to find someone else who can. It's much appreciated and I will continue to shop here. read more

I interacted with 4-5 employees: customer service/returns, employees roaming the aisles, and checkout, and of all of the employees only one was friendly/approachable and not cold. I've been to countless Home Depot's, and while I didn't have a horrendous experience with any one particular employee, I did get the feeling that I was bothering them or irritating them by asking questions etc, much more so than any Home Depot I've ever encountered. Fortunately, I experienced the exact opposite when I decided to take my business to Ace Hardware, where the employees were genuine and incredibly willing to take as much time and effort to help me get the necessary tools and knowledge I needed, and their prices where competitive if not better than Home Depot's. Unfortunately, I recommend steering away from this location and unpleasant experience as the employees seem to almost all be unhappy and unfriendly, which means the problem may be with management or culture, which makes the customers suffer as well. read more

This is a nice home depot and set up like any home depot. Plants and pots for plants are pretty pricey. Wasn't too impressed by their selection of pots for planting. On a separate occasion I came in, ready to buy a bbq grill out right and had to search everywhere for an employee to help me. After an employee was called to the bbq area I asked what the difference was between the two grills I was looking at the employee's answer was "one has 4 burners and the other has 5"... ok?? I could have told you that and I dont work there! I had done my research on grills so after asking him 2 more questions and getting clueless answers I knew I had more knowledge on grills then this kid was supposably a bbq expert! This experience sent me straight to Amazon where I bought a beautiful $1500 grill. This place has def. Lost business. read more

I just received an outstanding and exceptional experience at the Home Depot by Southwest Plaza Mall. The store manager Steve and the guest service person Terry were both awesome! I do a lot of business throughout the year in the store as a business owner. I had a bad battery that was simply defective, for some reason or another, never been used. I didn't have a receipt, I very well could've purchased it sometime in the last two or three years. Another store would not help me at all!!! Then I spoke with the store manager at this location because I do a lot of business with this particularly location and have always had a great experience. He (Steve) said it was a discretionary decision to return the battery and exchange it, and that he would. This was phenomenal as the other manager, at the other store, did not tell me that at all. If he would've told me that, and that he simply chooses not to, then I would've understood. He told me that it was just not possible and apparently that's not the case. I thank them and I recommend doing business here. By the way Terry was friendly funny and nice to work with. ;-) read more
