Ordering online makes things easy. Curbside pickup didn't work. After checking in, designating my parking space, and, after 15 minutes, nobody brought out my purchases. I had to go inside. Helpful staff inside when searching for things. Always helpful and pleasant staff. The holiday items are out early. I like that. The smell of wood brings me back. And the buckets. There was a bucket lid shortage last time I was there. So many buckets. No lids to be found. I chuckled at the lidless inventory. I just needed a lid yo. read more

I visited this store on Sunday with the intent to purchase a ceiling fan and a miniature refrigerator. Unfortunately, the experience I had with one of the employees, Mathew, was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. After asking for assistance to get a refrigerator down from a shelf, Mathew arrived looking irritated from the moment he showed up. While I was speaking with a very kind older woman in the appliance department and asking her opinion on the various mini fridges, I could visibly see Mathew growing more impatient by the minute. In an effort to move things along, I asked him to retrieve a smaller fridge from the middle shelf. When he brought it down, I noticed it had a puncture and expressed concern that it might be damaged. Rather than acknowledging my concern, he ignored me and instead repeated what I said to the other employee. When I asked if he was planning to get a different one for me, he became even more irritated. I ultimately told him "never mind" because his attitude was becoming frustrating -- to which he replied, loud enough for both of us to hear, that he didn't "give a [expletive]." I immediately reported the incident to the supervisor on duty, who told me they would pass it along to the manager on Monday. However, based on the interaction, I'm not confident it was ever escalated. I'm a veteran, and I've always believed in treating others with respect -- and being treated the same in return. The lack of professionalism, respect, and basic customer service I experienced from this young employee was unacceptable. If someone doesn't want to interact with customers, they shouldn't be in a customer-facing role. I left without making a purchase and went to a different store where the staff treated me like my business actually mattered. Home depot is fine to buy from but do not buy an extended warranty. The extended warranties will only repair the product up to the cost of the item or they will refund your cost of the item at the time you bought it. The company they use is Allstate Protection plans and they are no good. read more

This location clearly does not care to help customers. We spent about 15 minutes pacing, looking for somebody to help us decide on and unlock a power tool. Made eye contact with a couple employees who rapidly looked away before I could attempt to flag them down. When we finally found somebody, the said they would PA for someone else to come over and help us. Spent about ten minutes standing and waiting; nobody came. We took our business elsewhere. read more

Made a purchase Sept 11, was set to be delivered Sept 15. On Sept 14th i received an email saying my tool box would be delivered on Sept 15th. Sept 15th i get an email sayibg my toolbox is on the truck on its way to me. I also receive 2 text messages telling me my box is on the way. I hit the order tracking button and it says my box has been delivered at 644am. It lists a whole tracking list picked up at 510 am loaded at610, etc. So i open my door and no box. Its 6ft long, its not too inconspicuous ya know? I recheck the ordr tracking and see that someone even signed for it! Not me. So after a 25 min wait on hold the person tells me that they were still waiting for my box to be delivered from their vendor! They had no explanation as to why i received multiple notifications telling .e it was on the way, no explanation as to why my order was signed for by someone else. I asked why i should believe them nowsince theyve lied to me 5 times already. No response. I asked them to send me some paperwork saying that my box wasnt delivered and they asked why! I told them because all my paperwork says that the box was delivered so why the hell would they send another one. They weren't willing to do that. I told them to cansel the order and refund my money and they ont do that until the box arrives from the vendor again, then they can refund it. So i just filed a dispute with my card issuer to make it as difficult for them as they have for me. I bought a house 2 hours outside of Denver. It needed paint so I stocked up on everything I thought I needed. It took 3 days and 3 phone calls {2 0f which they hung up when they said they'd be right back) a couple of hours with their ridiculous text help line before they finally fulfilled the order. Being new at this, I checked the receipt and it was all correct. 3 days later I made the drive to the house with my helpers opened the paint ant it wasn't blue like I ordered and like the receipt stated, it was hospital white. You have got to be kidding me. I drove all the way across town to grab 8 tongue & groove boards I needed to finish a project. Their website says they had 290 in stock. TWO HUNDRED and NINTY. They had... ZERO. Not a single one. The two employees who tried to help me in the lumber area even commented that their inventory system was 'totally messed up'. Did online shopping at your your Sante fe drive location in Denver. My dishwasher went out and so I purchased one last Wednesday to be delivered on Saturday. No one contacted me and late Saturday I got a text stating no delivery and I would be contacted within 48 hours. I have not been contacted and it has been over 48 hours. I tried to call, they pick up, do not say anything and put you on death hold. What bothers me the most is I am terminally ill and need a dishwasher. A phone call would st least given me an opportunity to find other means. Bottom line is they promise to deliver in 2 days to get the sale and then forget about you. Ordered a fan online. Got a notice it was able to be picked up at Curbside pickup. Spent 45 minutes trying to get the app to work which it didn't. Tried a calling, on hold for 39 minutes, gave up. Tried another day, the app still wouldn't work so I went in. The person at the counter told me it hasn't worked in months, but no sign saying so of course. Got my box and left. Inside the box I only got 3 or the 4 things I ordered and I didn't need the first 3 if I didn't have the 4th. Texted customer support, they wouldn't send me the 4th item. Third time going to the store this afternoon as customer service found the other part that I wasn't given. I will NEVER shop here again. Other than the last person I talked to they were all inept. Shopping for grass seed at the South Santa Fe Drive, Denver location - they have Scott's seed, 10 lb bag tagged on the box for $34.97 ("was $44.97"), but when I checked out, the bar code on the bag of seed came up $44.97. I can't seem to ever get any good service at this Home Depot location! And this is basic stuff, too: simply asking the location of a product in the store.... Too many instances to refer to here, but I do want to mention the most recent visit: I visited the store, in search of some indoor gardening supplies (peat moss, vermiculite, etc). After wandering into the gardening section, I spent at least 15 minutes wandering the aisles, repeatedly, but couldn't find either item. There was a Mexican woman employee speaking Spanish to a customer, and even with my basic understand of that language, I could tell they weren't talking about something related to Home Depot or the products there. It was just chit-chat. She saw me loitering around, looking for something. I passed her at least twice in my search... But she wouldn't remove herself from the conversation to offer to help me. She was catching up with a friend. I went outside, still looking. I'd been in the store 25 minutes by now. There was a young Hispanic kid working that outdoor section. He reluctantly asked if I needed anything. I mentioned peat moss and vermiculite. He had no clue what I was talking about... he did, however, attempt to communicate my needs to another employee who was behind a fence, apparently teaching someone how to use a forklift. The wait was so long that I just started walking around again... Eventually, he got the info, and found me, reporting to me that my items could be found inside, on aisle such-and-such. I went looking for them (saw the first woman still talking to her friend), but the items weren't where the kid said they were going to be... 35 minutes in the store, and I still can't find anything to spend money... Eventually, I went back outside and approached the guy giving fork lift lessons (the constant sound of the beeping fork lift was enough to make me go crazy...). He came out from behind the orange fence, and escorted me inside. When he saw the nearest Home Depot employee, he said "there's so-and-so, she can help you..." Then he turned around and walked back to what he was doing. This third employee, (Mexican woman, I can't remember her name, she had pink hair), told me that both of my items could be found on such-and-such aisle outside. I went there (having passed by that spot at least three or four times already on this visit...), and sure enough, the items weren't there. There weren't even shelf tags stating that those times were there at any time in the past. I went back inside, so that I could leave the store (empty-handed, once again!). I happened to pass her on the way out. She was talking to some other employees. I told her that the items were not in the place she directed me to. She said, Oh, really? and went back to her conversation. I walked out of the store, without my items, and totally disappointed, again. read more

Make sure you don't get in their way while they're standing there either or expect snide comments and stares. This review is in regards to my most recent delivery experience for an online order. My order was scheduled for a Saturday delivery. When it didn't arrive and I hadn't received any calls "from the driver, 30 minutes before delivery", I decided to wait the full delivery window from 6am to 8pm. I called the HomeDepot.com number the next morning and they stated my delivery was scheduled to arrive Tuesday and I needed to get in contact with the local store since they were fulfilling the order. I called the Home Depot Sante Fe store 3 times Sunday morning. Each time I was redirected to a phone that would ring for approximately 15 minutes and then hang up. On the 4th try, I immediately answered the phone "Please don't forward me!" I ended up speaking with the manager who explained they couldn't work anything out with the delivery company because it was Sunday, but would call them first thing Monday morning and try to get my delivery out that day. I wasn't given any legitimate reason why my order was getting delivered Tuesday even though I scheduled it for Saturday. I received a call from HD Monday morning at 6:28 AM stating they couldn't get my delivery out because the schedule was already full, but would have it delivered as the first stop Tuesday morning. I called HD at 8:51 AM on Tuesday to confirm it left the store. They told me is was scheduled for pick up at approx. 6:30 AM but was actually loaded at 7:36 AM. I called again at 10:38 AM since it hadn't arrived and they told me it was in the back waiting for the delivery driver to return. (I was not the first delivery of the day.) They said they were going to call me back after they called the deliver to see where he was. I decided to just drive to the store at 12:30 PM and talk to someone in person. The man at the customer service desk called the manager (the one I spoke to on Sunday) and he said it was loaded and in route. The manager also said the driver's been trying to contact me, which I promptly showed the service rep my phone and the lack of unknown numbers that had called me. Missed my scheduled date, on hold for a total of about 2 hours, everything HD staff has told me they can do hasn't happened, no explanation as to why this had all happened and now it's 1:48 PM and it still hasn't arrived. (I live 3 miles from the store) I hope I get my call from the delivery driver 30 minutes before it arrives... Update: They called at 2:05 PM letting me know they were in my driveway. read more

In the end, they would only commit to someone calling me within three days. So delivery is easily a week out. What irks me most is that they couldn't care less. we had carpet installed on 9-14 that we purchased through home depot. The contract out to HOM solutions. We had damage to a faucet, walls, staircase and many door frames.. HOM solutions is horrible to work with. They want you to get 3 estimates for any repairs and then they might approve them. You will never call and get a live person. When you leave a voicemail it is at least a day or two for a response. Emailing is worse, they have taken up to a week to email us back and then only because we follow up with them. They expect you to do all the leg work to get damage repaired that was caused by their contractor. It has been 4 weeks since our carpet was installed and not 1 repair has been made. They are full of endless excuses and blame Home Depot, Home Depot blames HOM solutions. Yes, carpet installation is free with purchase, but you get what you pay for and I would definately recommend you research a more reliable company. I would NEVER have them do any type of work in my home again.. The customer service is less than 0 out of 10. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Yelp needs a NEGATIVE Stars option! This has to be the worst Home Depot I have ever come across. I completed an online order to be shipped to this Santa Fe location and it took about 4 staff members looking at a computer to come to no real conclusion as to where my package was when I physically went to the store to pick up my package. I escalated the problem to an "assistant manager" and she said whatever she needed to get me out of the store. "I will call the company and get the ETA on your package and since you live so close, we can get it right to your doorstep! - I'll call you tomorrow with status" LIES. (why lie?) Stupid. NONE of that happened and I received an email the next day from Home Depot directly saying that they had put in another order to replaced the apparently lost package.... No one called me. No one asked me if I wanted to have it re ordered. I am currently on hold with Home Depot directly to get my money back because apparently Home Depot cannot refund me because of the new order put in without my consent. The Home Depot rep says that noone has even answered the phone on the other line at the Santa Fe location. As a person who has worked in customer service management for years I know how hard the job can be.... but it's even worse when people don't even try. This has been a disgusting, unprofessional experience to say the least. Do yourself a favor and don't ask anyone at the customer service desk to actually help or solve an issue. Pay the price and SHIP DIRECTLY TO YOUR HOUSE. If you can do an express check out at the store.. do that... It's not worth speaking to anyone unless you are asking what isle to find something. Worst. Home. Depot. Ever! I go in to return an item or exchange it for correct item. The returns line was ridiculously long, but alas I wait. I'm ready to lose it from waiting so long and then I see I'm next to be helped. Relief washes over me in a cool wave.... The woman seemed competent enough as she tells me to go grab my replacement item and come back for an exchange. I oblige. As I'm walking back, my jaw drops as I see the returns line is now all the way out the door. I politely try to get the same employee's attention and ask if she is able to help me now that i have the correct item. She gives me the old evil eye and tells me to wait in line like the rest of the poor souls. I give it a good 121 seconds before I declare to myself that I have more important things to do, and I'm going to march up to the front and just ask for my item back to return at a later time or to a different store. I don't want to interrupt the current customer so I stand to the side...waiting...waiting...to me it feels like a never ending transaction so I try to squeeze in a quick "s'cuse me, may I get my item back and I'll return to another location?" She looks at me and I am under the impression that she understands and will help me right after finishing with current customer. So again, I stand, I wait, I sigh... I see she wraps up that customer and guess she does next? She calls up the next customer in line. I decide I'm not having anymore of this personal Hell so I interrupt and say "If you're going to continue to ignore me then this is happening!" I boldly grab my attempted return item with no regard for authority. Walk to the self checkout and high tail it out of there without looking back. If you have to shop here that's on you. If you have to return an item....well...you've been warned. read more

I can't believe I was charged 1,300.00 in total deposits here between 12:13-12:20-1:20PM 11/18/19! Was rented 50 ft boom lift for 376.00 a day. Received 35 ft boom with no battery life. Was told that it could operate as it was plugged in recharging.... My guy was left in mid descent from installing 1 soffit panel in 2 hours. The boom baskets would move only when it was charged for 10-15. Was led outside by manager Joey. What a joke Home Depot. If for some reason I get the run around. I will seek advice. read more

I don't know about the other departments, but the kitchen design center group are the most useless folks I've ever met. I called asking if they could match a replacement cabinet door. Even with proper description of the door's measurements and shaker border widths they said it would probably be better to come in person. Fine, I go in, 3 of the folks there give me a blank stare saying they are busy (I am literally the only person there) and ask for me to come in a different time. Fine, I go back a 3rd time. Finally, one person from this team responds to me. After describing what I'd like to do they responded saying that if they didn't have the manufacturer name they couldn't match the style, which was just a shaker cabinet door which is quite common. They then told me to match the door myself through their sample doors without offering any help. After this experience I didn't even bother making an order from them. Hopefully someone at corporate Home Depot will one day have the time, patience and abundant amount of crayons required to teach the kitchen design center team how to help customers. read more

Went to the paint department on Sunday, Aug 18 at 1:45 PM and was interrupted by the rather rude employee so he could finish the story he was telling his colleague. I didn't know they get paid to trade stories while on the clock. After this, he pretty much gave curt responses to everything I said. His colleague, on the other hand walked with me and helped me find what I needed. I've always had a great experience at The Home Depot, this one was definitely not one. I'm sending this to the store manager as well, under the hope that they train their associates to treat their customers better. read more

Stay away from ALL Samsung appliances!!! We purchased Samsung top of the line full kitchen and laundry. Within 2 yrs all began to fail in some way. 1st was the frig icemaker (just quit). 2nd was dryer (wont shut off when finished using, turned off and door closed. Door open stops running.) 3rd was gas range/oven (After using 'self clean' function, the door lock would not release unless power disconnected then reset. Once that was fixed the oven igniter quit. Upon further research both of these failures were very common and in every case, occured right after using the self clean function. It was even recommended by Samsung that you might not want to use the self clean function. 4th the dishwasher started leaking for no apparent reason. Fortunately discovered early on with minimal damage. Then the washing machine started thinking really bad of mold and slime. We performed the recommended cleaning service religiously, and would leave all compartments and door open after each use in addition to wiping down interior and door gasket, et al. All of these failures are very common and Samsung seemingly has little to no interest in making corrections. They appear to epitomize planned obsolescence with some serious miscalculation as to when they whan their products to quit. DON'T BUT SAMSUNG APPLIANCES! My Samsung phone ROCKS! read more

I bought my first home last May. Yay! There's a Home Depot about two minutes away from the place. Score. The Home Depot really does have just about everything you need for the home, in and out. I love their garden section - they have a pretty decent selection of plants, shrubs, trees, etc... plus all kinds of yard toys, bird baths, benches, etc. The staff is hit and miss. I've dealt with incredibly friendly, knowledgeable people in the appliances department, and just wandering through the aisles. I've also dealt with quite a few who would CLEARLY rather be anywhere but the HD. Oh well, I hate my job, too... guess I shouldn't complain about that. read more

I like shopping at my neighborhood hardware store, but when I'm jammed and gotta get something quickly, Home Depot's where I find myself. Like the one on Santa Fe better than the other ones in town. Busy day at Home Depot, but one person working the rental counter. I came in to drop the dolly off and I waited in line for 30 minutes. Ridiculous to just walk in and park a dolly. The guy in front of me wanted to rent a floor cleaner. Instead of telling him to look around, I literally stood there while he walked around the rental area with the one working employee. Asking questions, looking at different models, etc. The employee told me to get in line when I walked in and parked the dolly. You would think they would have told the guy to look around and she would help me. No. I just stood there. Wondering if I was going to kiss my moving truck. The rental counter person was hustling, but where is the help here? Carmen was moving quicker than most so I imagine I would have been in line another 10 minutes if she was not there Management? Today I came into Home Depot quite nervous, I had to install a tow hitch to my car myself & I have zero experience with tools or cars. I asked an employee named Johnny for help on what tools I would need, & he seriously went more out of the way for me than any employee at any business in my entire life. This man made me feel so comfortable doing this process myself, he expressed patience & knowledge, & most importantly kindness. I had to give him a hug for helping me face this obstacle with confidence & a smile on my face. I hope one day I run into him again, the world needs more employees like Johnny. He has a beautiful brain & a beautiful heart & he is how I will think of Home Depot in general for the rest of my life. Make Johnny the face of the company ! read more
