I had never been to a rockyard before so naturally, it was a little intimidating. However, I had a project that needed to get done. I have been creating a patio for a firepit and needed a gravel foundation and flagstone to finish it off. I showed up to the rockyard and, very confused about the process, I walked inside to ask for help. The front desk employees were incredibly helpful and friendly. They explained the process and showed me where to go for the gravel and explained the types of flagstone they had. The excavator crew and the helpers on the ground who helped me with loading the flagstone were helpful and friendly. I felt like I got great quality of flagstone and at a good price. The entire process was easy and straightforward and I have been back several times as I finish up my project. I found out they also sell soil and mulch so you can bet I will be a returning customer in the spring and for any future project I embark on. read more

I can't believe what I saw and it was appalling how these 2 ladies in front of me were treated. They were making a purchase and i was 2 people behind in line. Then one of the employees came out of nowhere and started yelling at them. The ladies seemed dumbfounded why the man was yelling at them. They had an exchange and I overheard the man yelling to one of the ladies to "shut your big mouth" and honestly none of the ladies were talking loud. I then overheard this man was Everet and he was the owner. This was just uncalled for, especially from the owner. The ladies calmly left. We've found that they have the best prices for load and go in Denver. Every time we price compare, they've ended up coming out on top. Designing a new backyard they've come in handy, pull up: go up to the counter and order: weigh truck: go to the area where the loaders and: let them load it: weigh again: pay. I know it's hard to know the weight of things but sometimes the load is wayyyy over the amount asked for and I hate to have my truck that overloaded. read more

We were in need of mulch delivery for our yard. We needed a quantity of mulch that could not be purchased in bags alone, and I honestly find that the bags are lower quality than going to a landscaping material yard. We previously had gone to a place off of Santa Fe, but they are no longer delivering. I was so grateful that bedrock landscaping is still delivering on Thursdays and Fridays. Robert and Everett have always been incredible people to work with. We put in an order for a truckload of medium bark and I can't wait for it to get here. Once it gets here and we get it placed, I'll post some pictures. I can't recommend them enough. Chris, our salesperson, was super professional and extremely helpful. Bedrock was hopping on the day I stopped by to check out materials for a xeriscaping project I had in mind. Everyone there was very helpful and took time to answer all my questions. BLM is a huge operation and they have tons (get it, tons) of rock, mulch and other aggregate options to choose from. I saw many people on the rock piles shoveling rocks into their trucks/cars. Sadly, I didn't select BLM for my needs due to scheduling and delivery charges. I'm going to keep that weigh and go option in mind for some smaller projects on the horizon. read more

My experience at Bedrock was fantastic. I made five different trips throughout the day for product and each time they remember what I needed, were friendly and extremely time efficient. When filling our truck, I had a tarp down. It was a windy day and they would pause dumping rocks so I could fix the tarp. Our truck was weighed before and after each load to make sure we got what we were paying for. In my experience, other places just would guess. We will be giving BLM our business in the future. I believe Logan was the salesperson up front. Logan was extremely helpful and friendly. read more

I really hate leaving a subpar review but Bedrock has been showcasing a pattern of bad behavior and zero integrity. After giving me either the wrong product, incorrect order sizes, forgetting my delivery and charging me for a product that no longer exist, I almost gave up. When I finally did get my product of cobble delivered it was 40% dirt! Everett the owner screamed at me and acted like a child throwing a tantrum when all he had to do was take responsibility. I do not understand how this company has any good reviews- I am beginning to think he has paid for the reviews overseas because there is no way this man can run a project like this. Never in my life have I met anyone on the psycho level of Everett the owner. This man is so miserable that he will take out his anger on anyone he sees fit to explode on. I ended up dumping an entire bowl of candy on his desk after being treated with disrespect and a completely insane interaction from him that came out of nowhere. He mistook me for someone that apparently had called the day prior "wasting his time" but I had never called and he exploded on me with some of the most ridiculous behavior I have ever seen in a business. I had no other choice but to treat him with the same ridiculousness and I hope he loved picking up every piece of candy that I dumped out for him. This guy needs therapy. This company has no integrity! My husband bought a large amount of mulch recently for our apartment complexes that we own. We trusted that Bedrock would be giving us a quality product but we were very wrong! Shortly after receiving our delivery and placing the product we noticed that all of our plants started to die off! All of the leaves on our evergreen were dropping like crazy and within even a few days our small new plants were completely dead and bleached. The way they store their mulch is creating volatile compounds that accumulate and are released as gases that are toxic to plants. This is due to how Bedrock is storing their mulch. This has cost us so much money and now we have to have the mulch removed and will be going with a different company as we start our project over. My husband said that after a brief interaction with Everett the owner, he was appalled at his lack of professionalism and my husband no longer wanted to waste his time talking with someone so disrespectful and unreasonable. Don't make the same mistake we did! Take your business somewhere else! read more

Stay away from this company. I purchased 10 yards of the their medium bark mulch, I was assured by a staff member that this was a premium product with no sticks or organic matter other than bark. What I recieved was a subgrade product full of organic material and fillers. This same product at Santa Fe sand & gravel (Ewing) is sold at a downgraded price to reflect the quality of the product. Needles to say when I called to talk to a manager about the situation, I was given the runaround and told to go kick rocks. This is among the worst experiences I have ever had with a business. They caused damage to nearby property during the delivery, and maintain that they owe me no communication or discussion of the issue at all since the property belongs to the church behind our home. The most frustrating issue has been the EXTREMELY rude and unresponsive communication. I have called 5 or more times asking to discuss the issue - patiently and kindly - and they refuse to call me back or engage. I strongly recommend selecting a different company. read more

I have used bedrock landscaping a few times. I've had two awful experiences. First I ordered Pea gravel for a pond. When it arrived, it was full of compost. I explained to them I needed clean gravel before I even ordered it. To be fair after I sent photos they did come and pick it up and gave me cleaner gravel. However, this last time is it! I ordered their planters mix for a raised bed. I explained to them it was for vegetables. What I got and what I ordered are two different things. They sent me their planters mix which was 95% sand! I've been a landscaper my whole life and I've never seen anything like this. On top of it they charged me $95 to deliver within 2 miles. When I called They just told me that the soil they sent me is used to lay sod down. Sod would never grow in sand like this. Unless it's seagrass or something! I still have this pile of this dirt and I can't even get rid of. It is definitely more of a fill dirt. I explained to him that that is not what I ordered. They just dismissed me. read more

The true colors of this company is disturbing. My husband's parked truck was hit by one of Everette's employees and now they are denying any wrong doing. Instead of owning up to it, they are denying everything. We are moving forward with a claim which isn't the way we were hoping this was going to be handled. The owner scoffed at the estimate as if we were trying to rob him. News flash: prices of labor and parts nationwide has gone up significantly! If you don't want to pay to fix your employee's poor driving, then get better employees. What makes us sick is that my husband has been a client for over 5 years. Sadly and regretfully this has caused us to reconsider giving them our business. I urge everyone else that if you can find a different company for your landscaping needs, please do. Never should've escalated to the point of owner yelling at me!! Was told I had a delivery window of 10-12p at time of purchase and I confirmed the morning of delivery. Called at 12p to see where the truck was and was told it hadn't even left the yard yet. I get things happen but a phone call would've been nice. I had 5 people sitting there getting paid waiting on rock. My bad for trying to be prepared and having them show up after the rock was supposed to be delivered. When I called back to find out why the delay I was told I was moved to 12p to 4pm window and Everett ( the owner??) jumps on the phone and says quit your bitching or cancel the order its not our fault. and then proceeded to call me a liar when I told him I had people sitting waiting to move rock. I'm not blaming anyone and understand stuff happens; especially with deliveries. It would be nice though to have the common courtesy of customer service and a phone call!!! Don't buy from here if you expect any type of common courtesy. Go to Pioneer, Santa Fe Gravel, Direct Landscaping, etc. There are better options out there! read more

I go here all the time and get great service. Weigh in, go to where I need loaded, load, weigh out and pay. They are busy and at times it takes a few extra minutes to pay, but thats expected. Staff is wonderful. All willing to help and always talkative. People need to understand that this is a rock supplier. Heavy machinery, dirt, contractors, it gets busy and people need to respect that. They have a prime location in the middle of my business area and that works even better. Great prices that compete with the bigger suppliers. Won't stop going here!!!!! read more

I have not personally used this compay's service, but my neighbor used them. My home is on the alley where they had to go for the delivery. Their employee was talking on a cell phone while driving their dump trunk and she ran into our home. When I confronted the driver she became hostile and verbally attacked me. She refused to apologize to me or give me her name. This employee was very irresponsible and aggressive and reflects very poorly on the company. I would never use them and hope this serves as a warning for others. read more

Wow, I am still reeling from the insults that the owner, just gave me. Was prepared to buy multiple items for my landscaping projects. Was even referred by my landscaper. When I went to weigh some rocks, owner did not tell me to weigh my car first. When I got the rocks in the car on my own, and moved to weigh, another staff member very rudely told me that if I had hadn't weighed my car that I needed to pull up, and then screamed at me because he didn't indicate how far up, way up. I then waited for some minutes, and when no one came out to address my needs, I returned the boulders. No I didn't return them to their exact location but I did return them to the specific area that I got them from (rocks don't really need to be handled gently). My concern is this; the manager actually screamed at me, for being rude and taking up his time, and did not sincerely apologize. He also physically, with a forklift, blocked me from leaving so he could get his white male ageist aggression out. If you are not already well-versed in landscaping, my suggestion is to avoid these people. Very unpleasant and frankly abusive read more

DO NOT BUY RAISED BED SOIL HERE. We took half of our large garden and convert it into a raised bed. Because we only converted half our garden we had a side by side comparison!!! In 6 weeks our new raised bed had tiny, stunted, yellow and extremely sick looking plants that were not flowering or growing. The other side (which had exactly the same amount of sun and water) was flourishing. The soil in the original garden plot was not even that great and was STILL outgrowing our new raised bed! Long story short the only variable was the soil and a soil test proved that the soil we spent a lot of money on from Bedrock was crap. Absolute crap. Total waste of time, money and lots of plants and seeds. The worst part was that although the staff was pleasant, they basically said, "too bad for you." I am never coming back. read more

I have used these folks in the past and been lukewarm with their service. I went back today and was even less impressed than in the past. Their counter help was not particularly helpful or friendly, in fact surly and indifferent would describe him. The loader loaded nearly twice the amount I requested and everyone's response was indifferent. Their product is considerably more expensive than other yards, when I asked why I was told " ours is better", sand and gravel is sand and gravel. I attempted to purchase 8 tons of river rock from these guys. My landscape guy brought in a sample rock from an area of my yard I've already landscaped to match the size. They sent out 8 tons of rock that was no where near the size I requested, it was way to large for my project. Instead of trying to make it right, and get me the size I requested (and physically showed them at the counter when ordering), Devin passed blamed onto us, and wanted to charge us a delivery charge for rock that was not delivered because it was the wrong rock. Devin has a bad attitude and is making decisions that is costing his boss's company money. Don't recommend this company at all. Lot's of competition out there, I'll be using them. read more

Their website is very helpful as well, you have access to a material calculator and coverage guidelines. Picked up some material there - the staff was very nice and reasonable. They were incredibly slammed at the time I went in on a weekend morning. They were handling it the best they could. The reason for the 2 stars is the Colorado Buff Stripstone I picked up. Uneven pieces, jagged pieces, rough/wobbly edges.....it just seems like the lowest grade out there. I've spent all weekend long cutting through the pieces and grinding them back into rectangular/square shapes to make them work. For the amount of time and effort I've put in, it was definitely worth having a contractor do it (or buying it from a different location farther away). For fill dirt, stone, etc....This place is good. For decorative stone, unless you have a wet saw and sophisticated setup, I would look elsewhere for flagstone. Their pavers seemed to be in good shape. read more

Came to pick up some cobble stone and the loader shattered my back window. I realized he had the bucket about 12" away from my window even though he had all the room in the world considering that I have an 8 ft. bed. After informing the desk about what had happened, I was told I'd have a manager call me. No one has called me so I decided to call myself and was told they are not liable for the damages. Now I'm out $700 for having to replace the entire window since it had an electric motor in it. Last time I will do business here. read more
