From what I gather, the terrarium shop opened in 2017, recently closed, and then had a reopening in October 2022. I stopped by today, to check everything out, and loved it! This cute shop sells taxidermy, plants, terrariums, jewelry, crystals, home decor, candles, and witchy stuff. The interior is packed with so many cool things to see. What stood out to me were the animal skulls, and a wall of taxidermy insects and butterflies. They sell glass cases and vessels to make your own terrariums. There are dried flowers, moss, beautiful crystals, and all kinds of things to fill a terrarium. This is a beautiful plant shop as well! They have all kinds of cool planters as well as rare and common house plants. I thought plant prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely be back. This is a great shop to get a unique gift for somebody or to find something dazzling to spice up your home! read more

The Terrorium Shop is GORGEOUS. Honestly, I could go just to be inside of the shop for the vibes alone. I loved the different plant species, specimens, terrariums, taxidermy, crystals, decks, etc! The decor is very whimsy goth, dreamy, and it feels like you've stepped into an abandoned Victorian oasis that has been transformed into a swanky specialty shop for the curious and spiritually-inclined folk. The pricing is on the moderate-higher scale, but this definitely screams specialty shop and for special items there are special prices. For anyone in the area, definitely visit this establishment. This is not your average plant shop, which I think is a great thing. The space is small but it's full of really interesting gifts and plants. One of the owners works in taxidermy and the other works with plants. There are some taxidermy animals/specimens in the shop, so if you're sensitive to that maybe stay away. I will say that everything there was beautifully displayed and I was informed that all of the bones are ethically sourced, some are roadkill or animals that died from natural causes. There is a page on their website that explains where they acquire all of their specimens from. They have a cabinet full of bugs that you can use to make your own displays and I believe they have classes where you can pot your own plant. There's a pretty good variety of plants and terrariums and they have some really cool pottery from local makers. It's a really cool shop, and I can't wait to visit again when I'm in the area. If you like plants and bones this shop is a must-see! read more

Not sure what we were expecting but the sign on the corner of 48th and Lowell (along with the shop owners background) was intriguing enough to have us make a short jaunt to check things out. I *think* the business is promoting holistic approach to living but the shop is small and cramped. I don't think they monitor the social distancing as i felt like with the number of people browsing, we were well over capacity. Masks are required and I didn't spot any business supplied hand sanitizer. What you will find however is an abundance of greenery, mixed with taxidermy, mixed with desktop displays of "terroriums". Stumbled upon this shop when I was grabbing coffee and happy I stopped in. Located at the corner of a strip of shop, this store offers a wide variety of plants, pots, crystals and more to choose from. Very friendly staff that offer knowledge and guidance if asked. Came here for the plants and was hesitant at first because I'm not really into oddities. But all of the oddities were displayed so beautifully it was actually a pleasant combination.
