From the start, the project managers were disorganized, consistently uncommunicative and at times…read moredisrespectful. Unfortunately, the workmanship was sloppy and lacked attention to detail: * Countertops were never polished or buffed and had debris and grit left on them * Walls were damaged during installation * White silicone was applied on beige walls * Grout lines were uneven, thick in corners due to poorly cut quartzite despite laser measurements and laser cutting * Caulking along countertops was smeared and inconsistent * Backsplash was improperly measured, leaving visible gaps in corners * Large clear adhesive circles were used to secure the backsplash, which have already begun pulling away * The crew left a mess and did not clean up after themselves Repeated mistakes, poor craftsmanship and unprofessional project management made this a frustrating experience from start to finish. I would not recommend Granite World for your countertop or backsplash projects and would have preferred to give 0 starts if allowed.

After disappointing experiences with a number of other fabricators over the last few years (oh, the…read morestories!), DMK Marble & Granite was finally recommended to me by trusted friends who had just completed a project with them. After initially encountering a few minor hiccups, Daniel, the owner, escalated my small, but detail-oriented projects and began to oversee them personally. From that point forward, everything moved quickly and smoothly with excellent communications and a beautiful end result. I quickly learned that Daniel and his fabrication team are highly skilled, honest and upfront about everything (from what is possible, to timing, scheduling and pricing), and most of all, they stayed on top of the process from beginning to end. Their collective attention to detail, precise measurements, extra care while inside my home, and competitive pricing were also critical to me. As a result, I can confidently recommend DMK to anyone with quartz or stone projects large or small. (The word "integrity" comes to mind.) Not only is their team of fabricators and designers highly experienced, they are creative, talented and honest too--not an easy combination to find today. Bottom line? They earnestly strive to do a great job, take great pride in their work, and go the extra mile to make sure your projects are not only done well, but that you are thrilled with the results. I know I am, and look forward to not only recommending them to others, but working with them again. Choose carefully. These projects are pricey and an investment you will live with for a long time. Pick a fabricator you can trust. You won't regret choosing DMK! (A special thanks to Daniel, Ben, Dimitri, Alex, Vadim and all the others who were involved in making this a smooth, affordable, fun and pleasant experience that resulted in a number of stunning upgrades to my artful home!)

I show up to get them and they had 20' pieces instead. Said that's all they had and they could order again if needed. I said that's why I waited a few days is because I was told this was being ordered from the vendor for those specific lengths. Asked for a manager. Nicely enough he only charged me for 16' lengths but I still ended up paying nearly $40 more for the additional lengths. I left a message for Allison who was the salesperson that told me she could get the 16' and 12' lengths from the vendor. Let her know I was frustrated that she would not contact me to let me know this before making the trip out there to find otherwise. She left me a message stating she ordered what she thought would be best for me! I mean really? How do you know what is best for my situation? Never apologized to me, just told me I had a negative attitude about it. Well yes, this is second time I show up at this business to find out they don't tell the correct information to begin with and then have the attitude that well if you don't like it you can go somewhere else or pay the additional fees for what they have or got instead. Done for good. This place is become pretty bad and bad attitudes there. Lesson learned.
