Overall, not the vibe and not as cute as it appears from the outside.

I put the cliff notes of the journey in my neon cowboy review which is across the street so I'm gonna spare you the details and get to the point. I step outside the coffee shop, press the button to cross the street and straight ahead THE BRONZE PETAL OPEN. And I remember I've been here before! It's a plant shop and I came in the winter a few years ago. We got a plant back then and honestly that plant is dead because of me. Well suddenly I realize two things Im looking for: redemption and a roommate. im taking a break from the animal kingdom so I was like you know what I bet the bronze petal will have the perfect roommate solution. Redemption for the past, I can tackle that here too. Im committed to my plants now. I got in there and they said welcome and I said hi I'm looking for an easy plant and I'm new. They asked me some questions and helped me figure out which way my window faces. they told me who here I can probably keep alive given the circumstances. Oh and they read my mind because I was so thirsty and then they were like do you want something to drink?? I never expected that but it was all I wanted in that moment. Even more than redemption I wanted to drink some water. Maslow hierarchy I guess. Maybe it's a sign im on the right track. I did maybe 10 leisurely laps around the store and found the perfect little tree plant and a perfect pot for her to live in. There were two employees, I think Zach and Todd, but I could be wrong so sorry if wrong. Between them though they got me the perfect tree and pot and now she lives in there. they said she doesn't need to eat for six months and all she needs is water which is a pretty cheap date if you ask me. I signed up for rewards. So leaving there I checked roommate off my list and now it's time for redemption although I'm not sure when to consider myself redeemed. Seems like more of a threshold than a cut and dry moment of success. I walked out with my plant and in the parking lot this guy was like "IS THAT A BONSAI? I saw this video where this guy was like anything can be a bonsai!" I said I guess it is a bonsai then. That was nice because I like his approach that anything can be anything which is one of my core beliefs too, even if at times to my detriment (using abstract thinking as a way to be unaccountable to the practical realities of life). You can tell the team genuinely cares and actually knows what they're talking about, which matters if you have questions. It is "pricier", but most unique plants are priced the same in other shops. Unique succulents with a range of sizes, including hanging plants. Free potting if you buy a plant and a pot. Warm, humid, clean, and calming!! Hopefully I'll adopt some plant babies from here soon

I spoke with Cat who was extremely helpful!! She patiently answered my questions about which trees would be best suited for our unique space, she made tree recommendations and advised us to confirm the drainage was adequate for evergreens. I was looking for some plants for the south side of my house in Golden, CO. My new xeriscape had…read morereplaced all my sod with rock. I wanted to add some interest so that I wouldn't have just rock everywhere, but this south side of the house has no drip line. Perhaps some cacti and other southwestern plants would be appropriate? I made my way down to the local nursery and found this cute potato cactus. Rather than the typical plastic stick with planting instructions, the plastic stick found in the little plant casing said www.coldhardycactus.com. I went to this website to see how to plant and care for this cutie, and lo and behold--an entire cactus website run out of a location right down the road in Lakewood, Colorado! They sell quite a variety of cacti, yucca, agave, all the southwestern plants you might find in a desert environment, carefully studied and developed to be cold hardy for Colorado. I promptly scheduled an in-person tour of the plants, which you can do online. When I arrived, Kelly, a horticulturalist, showed me around the yard and greenhouses and told me about all the plants that he grows. He knows absolutely everything about them, and loves to convey his knowledge about their origination, hybridizations, and ability to withstand our environs in planting zones 4, 5, 6, etc. My house resides in zone 5. Based on Kelly's guidance and my own taste in plants, I walked away with a combination of cacti and succulents; from your traditional spiny cacti to beautiful flowering gentle varieties with smoother paddles. With my brown thumb, and the little 1.5-2" pots, I was wary about their outcome. However, you can see below the pictures that I took in May, 2025. They survived beautifully, and in fact are thriving! I have to admit that the succulents did not make it through the winter. I suspect I did not provide enough water for them after planting, or maybe the site just isn't right, but I couldn't be more happy and proud of the many cacti that are happy in my yard. In one year, some have at least doubled in size! I recently paid Kelly another visit this fall, and purchased some yuccas and agaves this time to fill in some holes in my landscape. I have some pictures below of these babies. I'm excited about the prospect of a southwestern cactus garden in my south yard! If you have want to add a little bit of interest to your yard with an unusual touch, or even just want to create an indoor cactus/succulent arrangement, I highly highly recommend visiting ColdHardyCactus.com. I gave Sue a theme idea (tropical) and a price budget and she designed a beautiful and large arrangement for our exhibit booth. I was very pleased. At the end of the show we gave it to a local group and they were excited to display the arrangement at their office. I would definitely recommend Bristol Botanics. Our trade show was in the Hyatt Regency Convention Center and they delivered the arrangement to our booth during the set-up hours.

I purchased plenty of air plants, aloe vera plants, etc., Angelica, the store's resident one-eyed cat is super cute. I fell in love with her instantly. I bought a really nice plant with a glass container as my first one. This was years ago; I wasn't experienced in keeping plants and ended up failing my first one. The staff, mainly Lynn, ended up attempting to revive my plant and kept care for about 2 weeks. I returned and she ended up giving me a new one. She taught me so much about plant food, sun exposure; I learned so much about plant care ever since. The Rosehouse has been featured on numerous websites, articles and they even have their very own Podcast: Up The Plants! Lynn shares what inspired her love of plants and Maurice talks about how one plant in particular ruined his dating life. Unfortunately, I only see about 3 active episodes, but this one can be useful to get in touch with your inner plant. Plus, it's witty and humorous. I love their summary of their podcast, nonetheless: "All Plant Everything. Why we love them? Where do they come from?, How do we take of them? We talk global traditional uses for medicine, spirituality, current trends and environmental implications. Come nerd out with us." The Rosehouse has mainly street parking and close to the Mutiny Information Café! I always made the tradition of visiting those 2 favorite shops of mine. The Rosehouse began delivering plants straight to your door, because of the temporary ban in store shopping. I really enjoyed walking inside Rosehouse, because of their classy vines, beautiful plant pots and unique species of plants: White Variegation Leaves, Snake Plants, Air Plants etc., just my favorite place to grow my collection!
