Suz helped me through the process and was awesome to work with. I was also able to purchase during a sale, which definitely helped with the overall value. I was quoted about five weeks for the sectional to arrive, and that estimate was accurate. Communication and delivery were smooth, everything arrived on time, and the delivery team did a great job getting everything set up. I've only had the sectional for a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to long-term durability yet, but so far I'm extremely happy with it. I really like the fabric, which is soft and comfortable, and the cushions have a firmness that I really like without making the sofa uncomfortable. It's also surprisingly comfortable for napping. The length gives me the extra seating I wanted while the apartment-sized configuration works really well in my space. Overall, the entire experience, from shopping in the store through delivery, was easy, and I'm very happy with the sectional. Five stars from me.

This is why I am giving it a two star rating. I was told the mattress would get to me in 2 weeks and very quickly, along with the custom bed frame that was on sale. This was a total lie. The mattress took 8 weeks and I ended up canceling the bed frame order because the customer service couldn't even tell me how long it would be for the bed frame. The show room manager lied to me and said I would get a refund for the mattress on the phone. I had to call back to the customer service (which is not the show room...) and they let me know that NO refund would be delivered on the mattress once it was delivered (only the shipping fees - which I think were free? who knows - NOT Joybird). Also, I was under a medical condition where I was not able to bring in large furniture on my own. I was "sold" that all the items would be "white glove delivered". They are not, the mattress was delivered by Fed Ex and I had to move in the very heavy mattress on my own. I will not ever shop here again.

That was my experience with ordering a pantry from Modern Bungalow. It took a few months to arrive, because Amish master craftsmen took the time to build an absolutely stunning piece of furniture, from carefully chosen pieces of gorgeous maple wood. If the pantry were small enough to fit on a dresser, I'd call it a jewelry box; it's that beautiful. The pantry is amply-sized. Using traditional hand-tooled and mortise-and-tenon joinery techniques, the pantry is meticulously constructed. The substantially deep shelves, which I have already loaded with giant heavy canned goods (like San Marzano tomatoes, for making my famous pasta sauce), and bottles of imported vinegars and California's finest olive oils, not to mention a cartload of baking supplies, provide ample storage for any manner of pantry goods, and the hardware used for the pantry doors is substantial enough to keep them from ever sagging. Thank you, Modern Bungalow, for helping me to obtain an heirloom-quality pantry that my kids will likely fight over some day, right after my funeral.

When I asked for a fair resolution, the owner: * Repeatedly ignored my requests to communicate via email * Hid behind Terms and Conditions, then contradicted them by threatening to cancel my order * Gave me four different delivery timelines, none of which held * Blamed BDI, the shipping company, and the weather * Offered me a net $50 discount and called it "reasonable and fair" * Gave me 33 minutes via email to accept an offer or he'd cancel The moment I asked him to commit to an actual delivery date with accountability, he cancelled the order and refunded my deposit. The manufacturer, Troy Lighting, simply said, essentially, Too Bad, you've only got a one year warranty. UL, however, stepped up and connected us with a specialist in the lighting repair and restoration field and determined it could be repaired!!! We began purchasing from UL nearly 20 years ago and, today, more than 85% of the fixed and non-fixed lighting, and at least 35% of accessories, in our home are from them.
