Love this store, the excellent inventory selection, and atmosphere, and 99% of the time the employees are absolutely stellar. I'm not sure why the petite young woman with brown hair and glasses in the gardening section has such a confrontational, rude, indignant, condescending attitude towards customers. Yesterday, we had to deal with her again. She's like forcing a square peg in a round hole, she just doesn't fit in with the genuinely helpful, small town vibe of this fantastic store. I saw after looking at other Yelp reviews that I'm not the only one who's encountered and immediately disliked dealing with her. Even simple, friendly, gardening small talk turns into something confrontational because she absolutely has to be right, until proven wrong. My advice would be to completely avoid her and enjoy the stellar service from any other employee. From my own experience, everyone else knocks it out of the ballpark with customer service and it's why I prefer to shop here, instead of the big box stores. I have been a customer since the day this store opened. I had an experience again today with a certain cashier that really irritated me. This same woman always seems to have a chip on her shoulder. I returned something once, with a receipt, and she acted bothered. I'm not sure she should be anywhere near the POS where greeting customers and treating them kindly are important. I try to give this store business over the big box ones up the street, but I'm not sure I'll be back. read more

Absolutely terrible...purchased a Milwaukee drillbit from another location in this place says they can't take it back despite me having the receipt and the item is unopened and it's original package. I'm going to have to drive 2 1/2 hours away now to return it to the store. I got it from according to them. It makes no sense . They say it's not an ace, despite having ace written all over it inside and out.. very unaccommodating the place never has anyone here and when you try to call them, the extension doesn't work. I wonder if they wonder why they never get any phone calls or they just like it that way. I like supporting local and smaller business but when they're like this and you realize how much easier big box is. it's obvious why we go there more. I've never been here and stopped by as I was looking for a Stihl tool for a Christmas present. The associate found it for me right away when I showed him the photo of the tool. I'm glad he knew what it was. I then wandered around to check the store out. Went into the garden center. What a lovely space. Gift items, decor and outdoor merchandise. So many pretty things. And unique too. Prices are average and some good sales for the Black Friday sale. The cashier was personable and friendly. Signed me up for the rewards program as there was an offer for members that day. Saved me extra money. I like this store a lot. I'll be back to support a small, locally owned business. I went there to get a part for my lawn mower and i ended up leaving and finding it my self on Amazon. Service guy had every excuse in the book to not help me. I even had a picture of my mower serial number. Wont ever waste the gas on these folks again. read more

I've been really happy with this store! It's nice that they have the small hardware store availability when looking for the 1-off widgets. I have had great luck in finding what I've looked for. Big Tool Box is a Ace hardware brand but locally owned. They have been in business in centennial for many years. This new location is down south on Parker / Hess Rd. If your looking for sprinkler center, garden center, and rental and lawnmower repairs, they have everything and more. They are also authorized vendors for Traeger and Green Egg if you need help on selecting a grill. They support local businesses and there's even a section with handmade birdhouses. This is a great addition for the town of Parker oppose to the Home Depot of the world. read more

Stopped by for eye shopping to see what they carried. Being a tool guy, I was attracted to the "Big Tool Box" and Ace Hardware. Finding out that I was here 2 minutes before closing so I wanted to hurry up and make the rounds. Last thing I wanted was to delay employees ready to close the shop. There are big signs on the exterior wall directing to different sections of the store, mainly garden, sprinkler and such. I went straight to the door leading to the sprinkler. While checking out, one of the employee greeted me and walked me over to the section I wanted to see. I was surprised to see the set up which were veryclose to another location on Holly. Inventories were very similar and had lots of supplies you will need to set up new system. Glad to stop here and definitely will be a time saver. Has a garden center, rental and repair for outdoor equipment and the usual ACE Inventories plus the extensive sprinkler related items. read more

Was my go to place as people are friendly and helpful. Came in today to make a purchase and ask them to cut a piece of metal curtain rod for me which they have done several times in the past and as recently as 6 weeks ago. Now a "change of policy" which sounded more like we dont feel like doing it. Told them I would pay for the service and again told no. This was where I came for all my hardware items and spent a good amount of money even though they were a little bit more than the big box stores. May have to rethink where I spend my money going forward....shame as it's the closest place to go. read more

I'm living with my son in Parker until I close on a house next month. My son's drip system was suffering from a handful of issues, such as cut tubing, missing drips, and busted plugs. The sprinkler section was well-stocked and well-organized. More importantly, I immediately got help to find coupling parts and various drips, and other likely needed parts. The cherry on top was when the tubing was sold by the foot, so I could buy the exact amount that I needed. I always welcome good service! read more

Once again, my husband has returned from this business empty-handed, frustrated and furious. Today, he went to pickup some fertilizer and to use a coupon mailed to us to save a little money. He, firstly, had a hard time finding the product in the Garden Center; no, that's not where fertilizer is stored. Then, when he found it at the front of the store, he was told that the price on the product was a sale price, and the coupon could not be applied to his purchase. Nowhere on the pricing did it state "Sale", and when we looked it up online when we got home, the price online is exactly the price on the product at the store. Who is telling the truth? We really looked forward to having an ACE Hardware store in the neighborhood as an option to the big box stores in town. What a disappointment! Rest assured, we won't be bothering to turn into their parking lot every again. Just drive right past this place. read more

Keep driving! Home Depot is just a mile down the road, and it is 100% worth it to keep on driving past The Big Tool box. The exact same items are 2x the cost that they are at Home Depot or Lowes. The staff is not as knowledgeable as the commercials might claim -seems like they always have to ask someone else. The U-Haul rental counter is ridiculously slow. The quality of what you get here (nuts and bolts for example) is cheap. read more

This store has got a lot of good product and their rental service has great prices. The problem I have is that their hours are terrible compared to HD or Lowe's. Also, their website is terrible and it's very hard to figure out what they have in stock and prices and what equipment you can rent. I'd recommend they invest in a modern website, they would surely get more business. read more

We had been on the search for a rocking chair that we initially saw at Target. Online, Ace showed they had them in stock and we called to see if they would price match. The clerk on the phone asked for the specific product we were asking about. He asked a manager and he said yes, come on in. Well, we went in. After we sought the price match, the manager on duty at the time said no. We will not be returning. Their management practices are clearly inconsistent and customer service is lacking. read more
