I headed straight for the tool section, where Jude helped me track down the exact drill bits I needed. Both Jude and Nathan were excellent--helpful, patient, and friendly. The product selection is solid, but what really stood out is the level of customer service. It's rare these days to find retail staff who go above and beyond, and these two certainly did (even humoring me as I reminisced about my own time working in retail). As a funny side note, I even got the chance to chase after a customer and his dog after he accidentally left a dog bone behind at the counter. Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough to return it--maybe he'll return for his purchase! All in all, great selection, great service, and a team that makes shopping here a genuinely positive experience.

I haven't felt this at-home since Thanksgiving '98 when Grandpa and I road a tandem bicycle to Olive Garden and filled our bellies to the brim with bottomless salad and breadsticks! (He's passed away now - gluten allergy) When walking into the store, you may shed a tear, because at this Ace hardware, you're family. The kind staff and I always hold hands as I browse about the store...and NO it's NOT because they're concerned for my safety!! Stop being silly, ya silly goose...Maybe a wrench, maybe some rock salt, heck maybe even just a random bottle of hot sauce...the options are endless! They have everything, at very reasonable city prices. I shared my harrowing tale, and he let me know that they did have some snake repellant in an aisle by the register that worked pretty well. First, she's easy to book with and close to my home, that's important! Her suite looks and feels amazing and is comfortable. Second, it's clear I was in the hands of a professional from the start. We discussed previous treatments, current product usage, and skin goals. She explained her plan of care and then we got down to business. The treatment was nothing short of spectacular. Not only did I have to keep checking myself in the car mirror after we were finished because I looked, WOW, but I was so much more relaxed thanks to her meditation audio and crystal work. I'm so thankful I found Elle and can't wait for the progress we'll make at future visits!

The clerk referred me to Lock and Safe in Englewood. The clerk explained that they had not received training for car keys. Service We walked to the register just as you enter the store. The cashier was with a customer. My aunt and I waited patiently to ask a question. I wanted to know where to go and get the keys made in the store. My aunt is 92 and I did not want to walk around looking for where the keys are made in the store. Anyway, we waited and waited. Never did the cashier acknowledged us or seem concerned that we were waiting. Once she concluded helping her customer she said how can I help you. She was nice and directed us to the back of the store. My complaint, she could have acknowledged us with, I will be with you in a moment. Do you have a quick question? But I have a feeling I am too old fashioned! But I feel elderly people (me included) are invisible or the individual is not a multitasker, and I understand. Key clerk Very nice and upfront. Made a referral by pointing me to the locksmith sign on the wall and sent us on our way. 3 stars since service overall was mediocre.

When I asked an employee how often it was re-stocked, they shrugged and said, "I dunno" and pointed me to the manager. Really?? Okay... The manager said he was too busy to help me, a paying customer. When I asked if there was someone else who wasn't too busy to help a customer, this "manager" did the same shrug and "I don't know" AND THEN TURNED AWAY FROM ME. His name badge said Andy or Andrew. Unreal! Like a Twilight Zone episode! Never in my life have I experienced retail staff as rude and incompetent as this. I could see why he was "too busy to help me" though, since the store was torn apart and seemed to be getting renovated while they were open - it was a huge mess with junk all over the floor in the aisles, and trip hazards everywhere. K did not "Ace" the customer service vibe by a long shot. Not a good feel to be corrected impatiently. I needed help, after all. It appears others don't like their service at this True Value and I'd heard this since my first hardware trip in Denver about 14 years ago. I thought not long ago that the ownership had changed. After the previous day's experience, I was willing to try them out, regardless. Having a bike shop upstairs that I needed to visit was icing on the cake. It may be shouting into the void, but I want to share that True Value hooked me up with parts, advice/instructions, in a prompt encounter that made me feel heard and valued.
