Diagnosed struggling Oak Leaf Mountain Ash (Zone 7 ish) as planted in a very HOT spot. The bark had split in a couple places. Will wrap trunk to prevent scalding this winter. May need to replace with a tall desert Juniper. Doing my part to reduce global warming by keeping my trees leafy and green. Chlorophyll converts CO2 to O2.
