Very large Home Depot. All that you need and many different choices. I so much enjoy large Home Depot's, the one in my hometown is the size of a convenient store. Consequently it has very little selection and most times it's hard to find what you need if they even carry it at all. So whenever I need something, sometimes I wait till I drive into Austin and get it. It is so much easier and there is so much more of a selection. This Home Depot is really nice. Amazing customer service for returns. Especially with Ifiemi the woman who helped me to understand the returns, checked a million things for me and all with patience of a Saint. She also educated me on how Apple Pay plays a part in the return process which is indeed seen as a diff card as it's encrypted. She was amazing!! I wanted to get this review in hopes her management see this & can recognize her great customer service. I spend more money at Home Depot than I would EVER admit here as I am not a contractor but like to pretend I am one. Daily. Hahaha. A tip is to make sure you do e-receipt or at least remember what card you used or if you used your Apple wallet, then they can look up your receipt. Avoid at all costs. We are redoing our patio and putting up a pergola. We ordered new furniture, fire pit and around $4k of stuff for the new patio. EVERYTHING IS DAMAGED. Everything I ordered looks like it was air dropped. They said the carrier would call to schedule the pergola drop off. That was a lie, they just dropped it off on my curb Monday morning. The fire pit was undeliverable because it was so damaged. I called to figure what I'm supposed to do, but I can't get anybody in the US that can actually help me. read more

Tool rental department sucks. If you plan on renting any equipment from this location expect to spend most of your day waiting to rent out this equipment. Employees get paid by the hour and it shows. I frequently rent from this location almost every time i go I have a bad experience. They do not maintain their equipment very well either. Flat tire, dull teeth, runs rough, etc. read more

Well, I am a little biased especially about this HD location. Whereas they seem to be able to keep their employees longer that a certain competitor, the answer to any of your questions to an employee,has the distinct possibility to be accurate. We needed some blinds that would block out the annoyiing light from a neighbors house. (We should have done this years ago). Looking for an employee in that department, I immediately recognized the man who responded as one of those long term, career employees. As I have come to expect, in a department with so many choices, he knew exactly what we should purchase . He picked the two blinds, trimmed them in a few minutes and we were on our way. Long story short, we went in to get flooring and have them install. They over charged us because they had someone who didnt know what he was doing, accept my debit card, run it and then provide the numbers over the phone to someone else... which resulted in a double charge equalling over $16,000! We had to spend many MANY hours with home depot and our bank, on the phone, getting hung up on and lied too. They refunded one amount of $8k, but kept saying we werent charged the other $8k... then they said they did see the other charge but told us it was already refunded! The double charge, put us in the negative, exceeded our limit and got us a bunch of NSF fees at the bank and bounced check fees. We had to work on that with the bank and with each bill company we had paid. My husband had to take time off work to try and get this resolved, he also had to call customer support MANY MANY times, and they would never call him back. Finally, they said they do see we were not refunded, after having held our $8K for over a month and they are claiming we will be paid it back by the 13th. So we haven't been able to hire any new contractors, our flooring which was supposed to be done in November is now not going to get done until January, and Home Depot, doesn't care. They have done nothing to fix the issue or make it right with us. They washed their hands of the issue from the beginning by sending us back to the bank over and over... we had to open a BBB Complaint and a double charge bank ticket which could take up to 120 days. Home Depot, has not been adequately helpful or empathetic during this situation and I will be making a YouTube video to warn others. This has been a complete mess. read more

I'll admit, I'm kind of mixed about this store. On the plus side, I was able to find someone to help me locate an item I was looking for, and the service in general seems friendly enough. That said, this store is weirdly laid out, with areas such as plumbing and lighting sharing isles. Also, the parking/drive up situation is absurdly crowded and cramped! If you come into this section of the lot and people are busy loading up lumber or bricks, enter from the far corner, closer to Whitestone. Otherwise you might get trapped between two contractors' trucks! read more

These guys completely suck. We purchased PVC pipe for a job and 3 pieces left over. It was over 90 days so they were going to do a store credit. No worries. Like $40 or something. I have a Pro account, and I buy stuff there practically every day. They rejected my return because they flagged me for too many store credit returns. I've probably returned 4 times this year. But I usually ask for store credit, so I can spend it that day instead of waiting 10 days for it to return to my credit card. Well I guess that gets you flagged. Won't be shopping here ever again. I'm a Lowes guy from now on. If I were on fire I wouldn't buy a fire extinguisher at Home Depot in Cedar Park or the manager there Arturo Pizana that guy is horrible. read more

I've had trouble in the past getting one as I wasn't active, retired, or disabled and didn't have one of those ID's. Don't visit this store and thank me later. This has to be one of the worst managed stores I've ever visited. So glad they lock all there tools up so no one buys them. I asked for help and it never came and they lost a 1000 purchase of some Milwaukee tools cause this store has worthless employees and no one to open the tools so I can buy. I know there losing money and I'm glad. This store will never get my business and if you were smart, avoid this store at all costs. No help and everything is locked up. You would think that if you had everything locked up you would have more people around to unlock and help. It's the complete opposite: this store sucks and the people who work here are brainless. The best part about this is no one is in the store right now and I still can't get help: then I see the help and it's some old lady who needs help. Seems to be a recurring thing at Home Depot's. The employees specifically hide so they don't have to help cause they don't know shit/ grabbed one guy and said hey can you help me? I'm trying to buy tools but it's all locked up, he said yeah I can, we proceed to the area and I show him and he says, oh I don't have that to open let me get someone. No one ever showed up. HD puts on this bs show, why is there people from Milwaukee there but are just as worthless. Is it for show? They can't help me? I can even get access to the tools to buy let alone help from anyone. HD numbers have to be down and I'm glad cause they're losing on thousands of dollars. How long I'm a supposed to wait for an employee hiding or bullshitting with another employee for them to come help me. The services provided by Home Depot for HVAC are very poor. Every time I book an appointment or service request the ARS calls me and try's to reschedule on the very day at the time of appointment. Even after multiple reschedule and rebooking appointment the service technician never showed up. The longest reschedules and no show happened for me was about 4-5 months. Each appointment time was rescheduled due to emergency. Adding to that the Home Depot customer service does not even follow-up if the service was complete or not and ultimately let the appointment fall off calendar after couple of reschedules. I would personally not recommend getting services from Home Depot for any project or maintenance requests. It's better to go for individual service providers. read more

I have been a Home Depot guy for at least 25 years. That is changing now. I have had my second extremely negative experience that tells me the company absolutely does not care about customer service. I went online and purchased a new oven/range. I paid for delivery and installation. The delivery guys brought it as scheduled, but my kitchen was not ready for installation. Four days later, we unwrapped the new range for installation and noticed that the broiler drawer was damaged. I called the Home Depot number that was clearly taped to the unit. They told me that I was too late because all problems must be reported within 48 hours. I questioned the fact that it was damaged. They told me to go through GE to try to get it taken care of. Went to this location to get a few cans of paint, their spray paint section is always running thin, Walmart has more paint than they do. Also the Cashiers are so incompetent. I once asked them for the left handed paint brushes and they were dumb enough to try and look them up on their device. I love this Home Depot store, the staff are amazing except for one person who keeps on pushing for changing the HVAC whenever we are at the store. My son loves coming here every first Saturday of the month for the workshop, unfortunately that had been cancelled since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They have good collection of plants at the nursery, I only hope they have a clearance for plants and they store seeds for fall gardening. read more

Our old refrigerator had been giving problems and finally went out. I'm handicapped so my wife handled the purchase of a replacement fridge. I was concerned she would have a problem but Home Depot's salesman, Doug King (DCK081) was exceptional. He assisted her in picking out a unit that fit our needs and was extremely certious and professional. Not all retail salesman treat women with respect. I was particularly bothered by my visit on 5/11/20 during the COVID crazy. The store is usually not easy to get in and out. Now that they've CLOSED the nursery entry to be "exit only" it means you have to use the middle single entry and then when you exit the store you're jettisoned on the far sides of the store, likely away from your car. Not very shopper friendly! I was also surprised how a big retailer could give the illusion and inconvenience that they care about their shopper's safety - they closed the nursery entrance and constructed plexi-glass boxes around the check-outs... meanwhile NOT ONE EMPLOYEE was wearing a mask - including the nursery check-out employee who came from behind her plexi to scan my items - standing 2 feet from me. No self check-out. No hand wipes. No self-distancing floor indicators by check-out. Why bother at all? read more

This Home Depot has gone to 100% self check out but rarely are any more than four registers open even when the line is 20-25 people deep. They stand there and just look at you! Is absolutely ridiculous that you now entrust us to check ourselves out, but won't open the registers that are sitting there empty. When questioned the manager says " you have to be overseen". Well, you are not over seeing us anyway - you're standing there on your phone scrolling through whatever while we will check ourselves out, just open the rest of the lane so we can all be on with our day. Very difficult to get out of there turning left very difficult to turn in going left unless you are at a light. Traffic is routed in the most difficult of ways. back in June ... just when i think HD has turned the corner on being customer centric their manager on duty makes a ridiculous brainless decision. I was returning two plastic valves valued at less than $20 and she would not give me store credit for the return even though she acknowledged it was HD product. She pushes the corporate policy in front of me and says no receipt, no credit. this was after she scrolled though 10 pages of purchases i had made at this store lone. Between the Cedar Park and the Hutto store I have purchased over $6,000 from them within the 12 month period for my businesses (Ranch and Office park). she did offer a one time credit where I could use this "get out of jail" one time and get my $14.62 back. in hind sight I should have taken her up on it- havent been back to any HDs since- nether have my extended family. Conversely, i took some caulking back to Lowes under the same situation and there was no hassle. since then I bought a frig for my office, a washer and dryer for a rental, tools, etc between Lowes and Amazon who needs them!!! read more

I went to the HD on Whitestone yesterday for a few items. They have replaced the self checkout stations they used to have with new set ups. These new setups have a terrible layout. first there is no more scanner that you can run the item past and scan it. everything has to be done with a hand held scanner. Nice to have for big items but if you had 2 dozen little things it was a pain. There was a nice large monitor. However, it was between the hand held scanner. So if you have something on the table scanning it you now have to reach around the monitor to put it in the bag. THen I went to pay. these tables are about 5' wide. the scanner is in the middle and the monitor is above the bags. The credit card machine is at the other end of the table. So now you have to move the cart or get the next customer in line to back up so you can put your card in the reader. I think it is safe to say that whoever set up these checkout stations has never used a self checkout not worked a cash register before. I gave HD a +1 because -1 was not an option. I'm going to Lowes from now on. read more

Bought a washer and dryer for my mother in law. Driver was set to deliver on a Saturday. He took it upon himself to decide it would not fit and canceled her appointment without even going to her place and seeing the space or attempting to deliver. Once we called because they never showed up for delivery we were told he canceled and explained why. They reordered the set and then told us it would be another 5 days before they could deliver!!!! What?!?! That is just unacceptable!!! Poor delivery and customer service!!! read more

Home Depot shows product on line so we order it and they take money out of our checking account and two hours later they cancel the order because they do not have it. We had previously ordered the same item in May and the money came out of our checking account. They cancelled the order due to not in stock and it took 12 days to get the money back in my account! So now they have money again to use for 10-12 days??? They should check their stock before taking the money! Guess they need the "float" of using customers money for a couple weeks?? Flooring department. Stood in the flooring department for 20 minutes while employees looked at me and kept walking around. After one employee with short green hair sat down, he looked at me and started looking something up. After standing another 5 minutes I finally called the cedar park Home Depot and asked for the flooring department. After hearing me say 'flooring' on the phone, the phone began to ring between us. He looked up at me (first eye contact in 25 minutes), pressed something on the phone, then looked back at the computer screen as the phone continued to ring. When I spoke up and asked if there was someone that could help me for 1 minute, he asked what. I asked if they sell laminate or formica sheets. He asked 'acrylic sheets'? I said 'no. We went all over town looking at appliance deals over memorial day weekend. No one was winning too invest more time, knowledge and patience than Eric in the appliance department. After spending two hours with Eric yesterday. We went to multiple other stores looking at pricing, inventory, and overall cost (delivery, install, etc). Since my Home Depot didn't carry the blinds I wanted, I came to this one. It's laid out like all other HD. So walking in and headed straight for the window section. Ahh, nope, no blinds here. So I stopped and asked the first HD employee I see. I got a puzzled look then he pointed to where I came from and said "It's by the appliances." Okay, doesn't make sense but I head that way. Well, it was past the appliances in the back corner where they stored the forklifts. I begin my search of the brand, color, and size I need. The boxes were all covered in dust. I finally find them as I step over the forks on the forklift. Pull three of them out and put them in my cart. Once out of the dark corner, I notice one of them has a different color. Back to find a matching color, Thank goodness they had six of them and I find a match in color. Please note all the boxes said they were the same color. To pay, my choices were standing in the Customer Service line or self-service. Off to self-service, scan, pay and out of there.
