There are Barryhill experts available to assist, and we received very helpful advice regarding different rose plants. I do wish they would incorporate mobile POS devices instead of having you navigate across their parking lot to check out. He stopped frequently to identify the different trees, provide all the pros and cons of each variety, whether they were particularly suitable for where we live, etc. We didn't feel rushed, he was exceptionally pleasant, and was happy to answer all our questions. When we decided what type of tree we wanted, we were handed a flag, picked out the exact tree we liked best, and they delivered it in a matter of days. Their crew was friendly and efficient, and for a reasonable fee, cut down and removed the dead tree. They were finished in no time, and left the yard looking better than when they arrived. They only asked for payment when the old tree was gone, the new tree was planted, staked, watered, and we were 100% satisfied with their work. I really didn't think this level of customer service existed anymore. Go see them. You won't regret it.

In late January of 2025 I noticed some uneven shingle lines on the opposite side of the patio roof that Tobi and his team completed. From my previous post, Tobi assured us that the opposite side of the patio roofing was done correctly which is why he refused to redo the entire shingle work and just correct the area that was falling off (as seen in the pictures). I asked a 20+ year roofing professional to assess what I noticed and he confirmed that both sides were done incorrectly. There were areas with 3 nails per shingle or less and even some shingles with no nails at all. We chose to have the entire side (opposite side from which Tobi already corrected) re-roofed; including paper underlayment. Luckily there were no signs of water damage. This correction was north of $1,000 out of our pocket. My wife and I want everyone to know that we would not recommend Hill Country Outdoor Builders for any work moving forward. We are also starting to notice some loose paver stones on the end caps of our patio floor. Do your research with this company and ask a lot of questions before moving forward.

Rather, this is a collection of rather eclectic shops selling mostly used or refurbished items. These range from vintage glass and antique furniture all the way to collectible baseball cards. Everyone I spoke to at one of the stores was friendly and sometimes willing to negotiate a price on an item. I look askance at some of the reviews which claim 'I didn't get a deal'. You have access to the internet, after all. Even on your smart phone. You should be able to find out if the vintage item you're looking for hasn't been cheaply reproduced at Hobby Lobby, Cost Plus or Michael's. The facility still seems to be in development, so a couple notes for folks who may visit close to when I did, in September 2017. 1) The parking lot is a very rough gravel one. Drive slowly and walk carefully, there are ankle-turning rocks here if you wear heels. 2) One of the vendors was having serious issues taking credit cards, so having cash on hand might be a good idea. 3) If you check in on Yelp, there's a free drink offer available at the food trailer. However, there's no food trailer yet - just a well-run inside snack bar. They were kind enough to honor the offer for me, but do them a favor and wait until they get a vendor in before trying to use the coupon. In sum, a definite place to visit if the antique hunting bug strikes!

There is a wide variety of eclectic toys, games, knickknacks, etc. they have several tables where you can explore/play with some of the toys and items they have for sale. This makes it especially fun for kids to have a hands on approach- not like department stores where everything is packaged and shelved. I do believe some items are a bit pricey but that's to be expected from a stand alone toy store. We did purchase two 3-D printed toys. I was hoping to get some more exciting items, but my son has taken a liking to these 3D creatures. They were $17 each, higher than when I've paid most times, but also fairly acceptable in price. The employee working made some small talk, but she wasn't entirely personable. I feel that businesses geared mainly to our children should have employees with bright and bubbly personalities. I understand that's not always a possibility, but I do feel it makes the whole experience better for everybody. The only true con to our experience was that the story reeked of cat urine. They did have the doors open with a fan blowing out, so maybe they're aware and trying to get rid of it, I'm not sure. But it wasn't a pleasant smell at all. With all that being said, we will be back. I've made note of things we plan to buy in the future lol.

My recent experience at lawns trees farm was incredibly disappointing, largely due to the unprofessional behavior of the nursery owner. Instead of providing helpful guidance and assistance, the owner seemed irritated and exasperated by my inquiries about the tree specifications. It was appalling to witness such a lack of customer service skills. The owner appeared bothered by my genuine interest in understanding the trees' details and specifications. Rather than accommodating my queries and concerns, they displayed impatience and frustration, making me feel unwelcome and burdensome for seeking information about their products. Their attitude towards explaining the tree specifications was utterly unacceptable. As a customer, it's reasonable to expect a certain level of courtesy and willingness to assist, especially when it comes to making informed decisions about purchasing plants. However, the owner's demeanor reflected an unhelpful and disrespectful approach that tainted the entire shopping experience. Moreover, this negative encounter significantly overshadowed any positive aspects the nursery might have had. Really glad that someone recommended LAWNS Tree Farm to me. I talked to Terry a couple of times, and he was very helpful and patient with someone who has a very low Tree IQ. This is a hidden gem and it took me a few years to discover them. Prices are cheaper than the big box nurseries and the quality of their plants is much better. All of their employees are very knowledgeable and equally helpful. I do like that they have a great selection of potting soil and fertilizer and they provide guidance regarding which to use based on your purchase. I've purchased a number of roses, a dwarf magnolia tree, and a number of potted plants and all are thriving. The dwarf magnolia is at least 12 - 15 feet high now. These folks are a great alternative to the big box store at the corner of 183 and Chrystal Falls.
