I've never really been a fan of Home Depot for the fact that I don't understand the layout and it always seems dirty and dusty when I've been. For the business tho I don't have a choice and have to go for certain items. I visited this one the other day and I have to say this was one of the better ones I've been too. Still a bit oddly laid out, in my opinion, and still a bit dusty, but cleaner than others. I am also not a fan of how you come in through entry on one side of the store than have to exit on the opposite end, leaving us to walk across the parking lot to get to the vehicles. Just so odd. Staff was ok, only had one person say hello and with very little happiness. Everyone else was just going about their business. None of them seemed very happy to be there. Plant sections always look sad in other locations, this one appeared to better organized and better cared for. The indoor plants had a separate area which I've not seen in other locations. I just had a brand new cook top delivered on Saturday. Did not open it until Tuesday and it is cracked in 3 places. they will not send a replacement because it's over 48 hours. so I get to wait until next Friday for a technician to come look at my broken cooktop and keep a giant hole in my counter. Would rate zero stars if I could. No one would help load lumber while I had my baby with me, allowing the risk and danger of a baby to walk around while I had to load my own cart. This is your job as associates to assist and provide customer service. Associates declined to help. Then when the manager came, finally, he was no help and talked down to us and basically blaming us. I was in need of a product this morning. As i am in the aisle deciding which product to buy, one of the associates (older generation) passed by to show another couple a product, he then states to them "you'll find your product right by where this man is sagging". We apologized for that and as we tried to walk away, he didn't excuse himself for walking too close to the point it felt he was pushing us out of the aisle. He then continues to state " if there's a cop right by he'll probably arrest you". We are both of colored race, this interaction was the worst experience. read more

Does anyone ever really refer to Home Depot as THE Home Depot? "Hey, I'm gonna run to The Home Depot!" I don't know... I never say the "The." Anyway, how can you not love Home Depot!? I love to go to any Home Depot because I love the way it smells inside, and this particular location is no disappointment. I've been here a few times since I moved to north Arlington. One thing that's really fabulous is the plethora of employees ready to help you. Seriously, there is always someone in an orange apron around every corner, smiling and asking if they can help you find anything. They aren't intrusive or annoying either, just genuinely helpful and totally accessible. It's great for someone like me who hasn't memorized Home Depot's layout. I got a new painting to hang up, where are the nails? Where's the cheap linoleum I need for my art project? I want to build a cat tower, where's the cat tower stuff? Thanks Home Depot crew for helping me find all the weird materials I seek! My favorite aspect of this particular Depot is the garden section. I love plants. I love how plants smell; that damp scent of fresh greens and dirt and sunlight. I could roam around for hours staring at flower petals and cacti and the array of veggies that I dream of growing myself one day. I just kind of wander and visualize my future, personal, giant garden. It'll happen! And Home Depot's got fab prices. I just need the space! read more

Home Depot is a great store to find things you need to fix up the house or garden. This Home Depot is a typical store very large plenty of items to buy. If you need to find certain item it can be a little hard since the store is so big. I spent plenty of time walking from one side to the other. It is not always easy to find help. But if you do they will tell you where something is. The garden section is very good I buy a lot of plants and garden items. Good prices on the plants. Plus always check Home Depot out if you need a washer or dryer or refrigerator they have plenty of choices. Home Depot can give you a lot of DIY ideas which is a good or bad thing. On 9/13/2022, I was checking out at the Home Depot on the Road to Six Flags and I left my phone at home to use the app. The cashier Sierra wouldn't help me or use the military discount when I showed her my veteran's id. She claims that 'they' don't allow them to do that anymore. I've been to different Home Depot's in the DFW metroplex and hadn't had this issue with any of them and I'm a frequent shopper of Home Depo. Bought the ryobi one plus horse power lawn mower today. 18v batteries they say give you 40 minutes of runtime per charge barely gave me 15 minutes of runtime. Wanted to mow front and back yards today but through 4 charges on these batteries I only got half of the front yard done. Not a good buy. I waisted my money and a lot of time. Booo on this product. Expect 40-55 minute delays on pickup unless order is already pulled. Red tape & overworked staff is issue. Whoever started the job is going pass portions of task to chain of others with poor results based on my last 11 of 11 pickups. For large sized special orders expect damage under the layers of packing. * * You need to UNWRAP & INPECT IN STORE PRIOR to delivery. We've experienced special order of 3 entry door sets with structural damage of frame cracks, joint splits and bent thresholds which are all non repairable since just fixing will have lingering problems that remain. Reorder delay is often 3-6 weeks. I'd advise ordering way early if you are using volunteers or paid labor since critical hours are repeatedly lost. If you select online with delivery expect 20% error rate in delivery of 3rd grade lumber full of knots, odds & ends. With finished goods may be ok or same problem. Good inventory of products perfect for most projects. nice high volume store like Euless and Lewisville. Doing a rehab in over 40 trips the only speed is when you sort, pull & pay yourself. Overall, common problem of 1) wrong item, or 2) structurally damaged special order (like entry doors) occurs no matter who you use or which store (simple fact). Arlington store employees are short handed causing continuous problems in execution. Calling "HD Store Support Center" (HQ) is not a solution either. This store does not instill pride in its employees and this is reflected in the condition of the store. My first impression is how careless and unimportant the way employees dress are to the company. Even the shirts that appear to be issued to some employees appear very worn and need to be replaced. This is also reflected in the disorganized and cluttered appearance of the store. Other areas of improvement that could use improvement are lighting, cleanliness, customer service by employees, and organization. The store appears dark, dingy, and disorganized. The young ladies from the customer service department were so rude and under qualified. Precious didn't want to give me my whole deposit back on my rental even though I only used it for two hours, the hose turned out to be broken which is why I had to go back and return it. Precious didn't even offer to give me a new hose. Amber confused me with another customer and accused me of renting and returning other items. Don't waste your time here. I ended up going to the Home Depot on Cooper!!! And the experience was incredible!!! turns out the employees at this location gave me the wrong machine!!! this Home Depot gave me a carpet cleaner when I needed a car detailer, which I told them what I needed the machine for. The qualified employee at the Home Depot Cooper location not only gave me the correct machine for my needs they ALSO plugged it in and showed me the tools were in fact operable. Do not recommend going to this location! they suck! The customer service is awful, precious and amber were rude. I recommend the Cooper location 100% they're much more helpful and kind. read more

Eeeshh. We went to buy cow poo poo to augment the crummy dirt in a flower bed. What ran in front of me? A big honkin' rat. A rat that weighed at least 4 lbs. Then we saw another. Then three rat friends. We loaded up the cow poo poo quick. Then I saw rats scurrying through the shelving. When I told the ladies at the check out they said "Yeah, there's nothing we can do about it really." My close bud said "How about a barn cat? or 4? Or some D-con in Aisle 12?" Their utter lack of concern about the large rat pack was almost as alarming as seeing the rat horde. I wonder if the rats go to LA Fitness right next door. Or the restaurants around. I'm trying to figure a reason not to like the Home Depot but for me there really isn't one. I stopped here twice in the last couple of weeks. 1. Extension cord - Christmas time and you always need an extension cord for oddly placed light. 2. Adhesive spray. I went to a craft store first and the prices for their adhesive spray was somewhat ridiculous. I was so tired and ready to go home but I'm glad I went saved myself $3. The store itself if always clean, the layout is easy to follow and around every aisle there is always some one to to help, at least every time I have been there. I've had 2 plumbers in the last month and both have run to Home Depot to get what they needed. IF plumbers shop there why shouldn't you or I. I'm a fan I can count the numbers of times on one hand that I've been to their biggest competitors store. read more

This is my official I'm-an-adult-time-to-do-projects store, and I'm happy about it so far! Always good customer service, plenty of helpful employees around. The garden center is awesome and had a great variety this year. Our porch and culinary adventures can attest to that! I ordered some stuff online that they didn't have in the store and it was promptly shipped to this store for no extra. I like that. Since moving to Arlington in 2013 and purchasing a home I have made frequent trips to this particular store. First off, I love the smell of lumber so walking into any Home Depot is a treat. The store is very well laid out and always surprisingly clean. One thing I hate is when people leave their carts full of lumber/tools/etc in the middle of the aisles making it impossible to pass down but I don't seem to have that problem here. The aisles are wider and the employees do a good job of maintaining clear spacing. The employees are also very helpful. I have had problems in the past at home improvement stores in asking an employee about where to find a certain item and if it is not in their particular section they will not help you. This is not the case at all here. If the employee can't exactly pinpoint where the item is they will escort you over to the section and make sure you find what you are looking for. Home Depot continues to be my number one choice for tools, lumber, gardening, and whatever else I feel I need to improve my house! read more

I come to this Home Depot a lot with my husband. This store is pretty good, we've only ever had a problem once coming here. We spoke with the manager who seemed to take care of our issue, I did feel a little brushed off in the beginning though. He just didn't want to hear me yap I guess! We like this store mostly because they always have what we need and they will honor our Lowe's card 5% discount if we show it to them. Lowe's is a bit further but we still go to both. I wanted to take a moment to praise the team at your store! My husband misplaced his wallet yesterday and we were pretty sure it was while he was at Home Depot. We called and talked to your employee, who was not only willing to help, but willing to go the extra mile. They not only searched for it but offered to research the security feed to see if they could find where he left it behind and to try to find the customer that may have checked out behind him to see if they could gather more information. The team got involved and wallet was found in the electronic shopping cart he used. The phone call we received to let us know it had been found absolutely made our day! My mom had a fridge die on her so she decided to buy one on credit at Home Depot. She was told she needed some things for the fridge to be connected so she bought them. The lady said, get rid of the cooper lines because they don't use them anymore. The lady charged for the connectors but they were to be delivered with the appliances (later). In the mean time, the plumber came and charged her for the same exact thing she had already bought and the labor to install them ($315.00). When the fridge arrived, She found this was all unnecessary and the installer said they would have done every thing the plumber had done . After the refrigerator arrived the men from Home Depot said they couldn't take the old fridge bc the doors (of the fridge) had to come off to fit through the door way and they would not do that, even tho it was going to be donated for scrape. My Mom needed to hire someone to take the doors off the refrigerator and HD charges a $25.00 fee just to take it outside. They later reimbursed that. My mom is out the $315.00 for the plumber, about $40-50 for taking off the doors of the fridge. It took HD a wk to deliver the new fridge and the old fridge is still outside waiting to be picked up from Salvation army. The sales women showed a lack of care by telling her to get the plumber and never mentioned the fee for taking the fridge. My mom wont go back to Home Depot ever again. read more

The Home Depot is the only one near my home. I shop there every week for the pass 6 years. I purchase tools,plants, home decor, light fixture etc. I also shop there when being hired to do electrical work. But lately I feel very uncomfortable shopping there. The reason is that there is this lady she seems to be a manager I'm not sure but she always follows me and stares me down. I feel really discouraged. It seems like she is wanted or just waiting for me to steal something. I haven't approached her but I feel that I should write a review and hopfully this gets resolved. read more

Crap service. I walked in and walked all around the store twice, looking for an item. Not once did someone asked me if I needed help.

They were not helpful at the grills, and refused any assistance. We ended up going to big lots where they were fantastic.

This is the smaller of the two Home Depots in Arlington so you won't find everything under one roof, but it still has a great selection. Service is still great, it is still clean and easy to get to, just know that South Arlington might have an isle or 7 more of stuff. read more

Since recently getting married I have made a bountiful number of trips to Home Depot for all kinds of odds n' ends to set up the house. I'm not exactly what one would call a carpenter or handy man by any means. I'm more the type of gal who can build the mess out of the prepackaged ikea furniture with the nuts and bolts included in a plastic baggie. However with the help of Pinterest my tool challenged self is beginning to thrive at Home Depot! I swear I've been there 3 times in one week just to get more supplies for a project! I'm always able to find what I need!(with the help from my husband or employee) Most of the employees are helpful and knowledgable about the supplies in the store which has proven to be a blessing for me! However there are a few employees I've encountered that seem to hate their lives much less know anything about tools and supplies. read more

If you work in the Garden Center don't ask me how to trim the tree! And now I'm being asked for string to tie the tree to my car! WTH? Last year the guys were awesome! I shop Home Depot for convenience but I have to say that they never have enough staff and worse off the staff that they have is not well trained in the merchandise in which they carry. It is always a frustration shopping here. Today I went to HD to research an upcoming bathroom remodel. I had picked out paint swatches, several designs of accent tile and I wanted to buy a sample of ceramic floor tile so I could take everything home and make sure my choices were right. I questioned the flooring associate on how the cashier would be able to ring the floor tile up. She showed me a barcode on the side of the tile that "should" scan. Needless to say when I went to check out the tile would not scan. The cashier called for assistance from the flooring Dept which went unanswered. The cashier asked me to go get the sku number from the sign which was the sku number for a complete case. I was not buying a complete case. I asked her if she could ring the tile up under a miscellaneous department sku number for the tile. She said she didn't know. After 20 minutes of frustration and no results, I left Home Depot leaving everything that I wanted to buy behind abandoning the decisions on my bath remodel and just reason not to shop there again. They certainly need more staffing, better systems and trained associates with empowerment to make decisions. Looks like I will try my luck with Lowes. read more

If you absolutely have to have something from Home Depot you should go to a different Home Depot. I'm a private contractor, I'm in and out of Lowe's and Home Depots all over the metroplex. This store is the worst. I was just in with my family asking about some oops paint that was on a rack marked $3.98. I asked about matching the color and the associate ran the color scan and left to print off an oops tag. I stepped away and when I came back the paint was tagged $9. I asked the associate about the price and then confirmed with my wife that she didn't want it for that price and stepped a few feet away from the counter. As I'm standing there I hear the employee talking to another customer about how I needed to get over it that it was a $54 gallon of paint for $9. I called him out and told him in a loud voice how inappropriate it was to talk bad about me with me standing right there. I emptied my cart and left the store. read more

It's so hard to make a left turn out of this place. I hate coming here! Usually staff members are plentiful and eager to help, but not today. Myself and a gentleman were looking at insect killer when an employee comes by and asks if "he" was finding everything okay. I guess I was invisible. I'll think twice about coming here again. The staff here are SO friendly and helpful! I have came here on multiple occasions and 5-6 associates have been knowledgeable and kind. My last trip was an awesome with an associate named Debi. She took time away from what she was working on to help me throughly get rid of some pests in our new house. I wish I remembered the names of the other gentlemen but Debi was awesome- super kind, patient and generous with her knowledge. read more

I was able to get a washer and dryer in less than 20 minutes. That's fast service. I love that they installed the new units and hauled out the broken units in less than 30 minutes. No wasting anytime with Home Depot. +1 for keeping records of all my purchases. :) It makes things easier when I need to track down purchase dates. read more

I like that they have the self checkout lane now because I use to hate standing in line behind people buying big products and waiting forever. As others have mentioned, this is the smaller of the two Home Depot stores in Arlington. I work nearby so it is convenient to go to this store to buy a needed part or supply over the lunch hour. The only drawback is that the store allows Home Depot Home Services people to roam around the store trying to sell you their services. The last thing I want to do is try to dodge salespeople other than the ones who work there. read more

I didn't see any semi-automatics slung around anyone, and it is Texas. However, while selecting paint colors with my sister in law, a small child hugged my leg and called me mama. His embarrassed father looked at me with those eyes of regret, but the little one blew me a kiss as he was scooped up. And we got the right paint to test out.
