Hill Cafe is a cute place in Capitol Hill with a wide range of quick sweet and savory options. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and had a lemonade, which ended up around $20 after tip. The service was quick and the food was decent.

Not sure why I haven't been here but glad I stopped in today. I had been greeted with a friendly smile and great smell of breakfast food being made, but sadly I just needed a caffeine pick me up and also something to keep me warm on this windy day. I got the spiced chai latte with caramel syrup and oat milk and honestly Starbucks you can eat your heart out ! This place knows how to make a good cup of chai. Perfect temp without even having to tell them, fragrant, tasty and just wonderful with each sip I took. I love love love pastries and they had some good looking options. The menu has just the right amount for breakfast, lunch or a nice pick me up. Will probably come back everyday if my wallet permits definitely gotta check this place out!

Was looking for a quick and close by breakfast. Everyone is super friendly here, and the food is fresh and comes out fast. I appreciate they have three options for coffee roasts as well! My breakfast sandwich was pretty tasty. I will remind myself to ask for some hot sauce next time.

Well, not a new view here but I took the picture and I'm gonna post it.

It's a '5' for what it is, a little, neighborhood shop for coffee and light breakfast/ lunch. Enough reviews here so won't bother you much more: great, helpful staff, good coffee ( and it's easy to get a plain, not fufu coffee...but they have that too. My Ham, Egg and Cheese on Croissant was incredible, appearing to have about three eggs. Sat outside at the counter and read a book thinking it's grand to be in a city where you can walk places. Photo of the exterior, much like many others, was added simply because I took it and because the GOOGLE MAPS cam van went by twice and I May be in the street level scan. That would be my third run on on ten years. Lucky me. International fame.

My visit to this cafe was a pretty disappointing experience. The service was mediocre, as the women taking my order were borderline rude. The food was not good and lacked flavor. A little salt & pepper goes a long way. I'm glad they gave me the salsa on the side because it wasn't an ounce of flavor. The matcha latte also lacked flavor. It's a cute little corner spot with potential, but I won't return--way too many other options in the area.

Weird experience with pickup but the food was decent. I had paid for a cheese Danish but it wasn't included in my to go bag (good thing I checked) so I asked and they said said they were out. No worries... but there was no offer to replace or refund or anything. So I had to ask to take a different Danish vs them proactively offering. Also I paid extra for a large coffee but it was the same size as the small. Apparently they don't have large... then why allow people to pay extra for it online? It's a shame because the place looks cute and the food was pretty good.

Decided to stop by since a live near by , I order a coffee mocha and a bagel breakfast sandwich ( without meat) coffee was delicious , bagel was very fresh. You can seat outside on their outdoor bar and enjoy the fresh air while eating a delicious breakfast.

All their items are made-from-scratch, and the menu seems to rotate occasionally. I love how it is simplified where you choose a $10 or a $15 main, which both options come with 2 sides of your choice, wheat or white toast, and a small canned juice. We ordered: +the Shrimp & Grits - the grits were the best grits I've ever had - they were thick, creamy, cheesy, and seasoned perfectly! I'd probably order this dish again, without the sausage, and opt for more cheesy grits as my 2 sides to load it up! +the Cheesecake Stuffed Peach Cobbler French Toast - this wasn't as overly sweet as I thought it would be, which was great; I think we'd go for the simple French Toast or the pancakes next time, though +Old Bay Maple Breakfast Potatoes - the Old Bay seasoning was subtle, and these large chunks of breakfast potatoes were more on the sweeter end +Scrambled Eggs +Turkey Sausage Link +Turkey Sausage Patty +pineapple and cranberry juice I noticed that the cranberry juice had expired, but it was easy to replace it with another drink of choice. Staff were friendly, but note that depending on the queue, you may wait for some time for your food, as it's all made-to-order; we waited for ours for about 12 minutes or so, and everything came piping hot! The portions are extremely generous and can feed at least 2 people or be split into 2 meals. Note that there are small little ordering cards to place your orders through; hand them to the staff, and they'll give you an estimated wait time. Most seem to get their items to go, as this is a food truck and there is no seating area. I'd be curious to try out any other additions they may add to their menu in the future, but I would definitely come back for those grits! +delicious grits! +friendly staff! +food truck located on Pennsylvania, in front of the shopping center

I got two of the 15$ plates the salmon cake and the berry stuffed cheesecake French toast with the eggs and the old bay maple potatoes. The old bay maple potatoes!!!! So good! The salmon cake was the best I've ever had! Hearty in size. I also tried the new grits bowl they had on their menu. Grits, fried chicken, eggs, cheese, hash browns, and gravy ..tooo goood! Service was also great and timely had all my food in about 12 mins. The girl in the window was really nice and helpful. I will deff be back here! Highly recommended!

They were packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, my girlfriend ordered the chicken and shrimp Rasta pasta. It was well-portioned, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I had the jerk salmon and shrimp with cabbage and rice and peas, and it was equally impressive. We also added a side of mac and cheese, which was a great complement to the meal. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience. The food was flavorful, the portions were satisfying, the service was outstanding, and the ambiance was welcoming and enjoyable. I definitely plan on coming back during the week to check out Happy Hour and returning on a Sunday to experience brunch. Highly recommended!

I started off with the Mimosa Sampler for my drink order; I wanted to try the different flavours that were on offer. These were nice, but I'd hoped the presentation would have been a little better and the mimosas not as heavy with the juices. The food was great! Super tasty and packed with flavour. My husband had the Peach Cobbler French Toast and I ordered the 'Create-Your-Own' pasta. I requested it with salmon, shrimp and spinach, but it only came with the shrimp and spinach. Such a shame, because I can imagine the salmon would have made the dish EVEN better. When the bill came, it had the salmon (which I never got) listed on it - after pointing this out, the server checked with the kitchen, and kindly removed it from the bill. Overall, I would say that we really enjoyed brunch here. I will definitely be back in the future to try the main dinner menu & hopefully there'll be no mixups with what I order and what I get .
