Stopping in for a coworking session, a quick bite, to catch up with friends or have a meeting. Roost is the place to goooo! I recently was introduced to this food hall because their burger is really good. Since that first visit I've been back about 4x in a couple of months... and I don't live in this area. So this just goes to show how much I love it here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love how much seating they have of all different sizes and forms. Booths, bar stools, coffee show style with small tables in between, a persona booth. Really anything you can think of.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've gone at various times during the day and it's always pretty easy to find a seat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love that you can order from any of the eateries directly on your phone and then they'll bring it to you! The service has always been excellent. The pricing is similar to any other DC food hall/restaurant. Definitely check it out if you're ever in the SE area.

Great for groups, a work station, and the yummy tacos are my fave! Chips are great, but the guacamole is unseasoned. Service is always friendly. I look forward to coming here.

Great service , seated right away with water given. QR code menu And pay on your own or big group. Fun girl pizza is amazingly delish as well as the nachos. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good place to hang out[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I am in town visiting some family and my cousin was raving about this place! It was a nice spot with a really cute outdoor space, which is where we sat. It was a nice day, so why not! There are a number of menus to choose from. I opted to order from the Mexican inspired menu. I ordered the enchiladas with a side of beans and rice. The servers were so kind and the service was pretty quick.. However, everything was so so good until my last bite where I found a hair in my food... I didn't think it necessary to mention it because I had basically already finished the dish, but I left the last bite with the hair in it. I'm not sure that I will be back.

Food halls are not really my vibe but we needed a quick place to get some dinner. The service was attentive and friendly and the food was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a noisy environment--definitely not a good date spot or a relaxing place[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but good experience overall

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We were in a large group and our planners chose this venue. Great option, especially when you have people of all ages and with varying preferences.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Appreciated having reserved tables ready for us, but our server wasn't the best. She seemed confused by our setup and wasn't overly friendly. ALL the food was great. We ended up sharing a bunch of items, which was a good choice. Go hungry and ready to share to maximize your experience! Also -- the orange soda carnitas tacos sound strange, but are 100% worth it!!!

My husband called this place "the new way for fast dining" and that's exactly what it is. You sit anywhere, a server brings you water, and you scan the QR code to see the menu. You can order from any restaurant in The Roost and a server will bring it right to you. The food was good and the service was fast and friendly. Will definitely come back next time we're in DC! Bathrooms are also very clean!

Love this food haul! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Roost has lots of seating but can get pretty busy during the evenings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place to bring large groups of people as there are so many options to choose from.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Red Apron's fries might be my favorite fries ever, they're fried in pork fat and rosemary! Cameo's drinks are always great too.

Been coming here for quite some time and I'm so glad more businesses are here! We sat at a booth near Slice Joint. Service was speedy and we were able to view all the new spots, opted for Buttermilk's popcorn chicken, I added the jalapeño jelly--A HIT! The chicken was fried nicely and pairs well with their homemade ranch.

I came here for a brunch meetup with a few people and not by choice. I'm not sure I understood the type of establishment this was but I learned it was a food hall, which I can best explain as a food court you'd find in the mall but dingier. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside felt cold and uninviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were no brunch items in sight so I opted for a brunch burrito and green juice. The service was pretty fast, like fast food level. The cups didn't look clean to me. The food was not good, the juice was questionable. Ultimately I won't be returning.

As someone who spent the first 18 years of my life in Chicago, I was disappointed with how much Giordano's has changed. Della Barba, on the other hand, absolutely got Chicago-style pizza right. We started with the Caesar salad, and it was outstanding. Honestly, it could compete with the Caesar salads served at some of the best steakhouses. Fresh, flavorful, and one of the best I've had in a long time. The pizza was the star of the meal. It was excellent and would hold its own in Chicago. That's not a compliment I hand out lightly. The crust, sauce, cheese, and overall flavor were exactly what I was hoping for. If someone told me this place was in Chicago, I'd believe them. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. Our waitress, who had purple hair, came across as rude, unfriendly, and seemed genuinely annoyed to be serving us. What made it even more frustrating was watching her warmly greet and interact with the table seated after us. Maybe she was just having an off moment, but whatever the reason, it definitely took away from the experience. Overall, I'd absolutely go back because the food was that good. The Caesar salad and pizza are worth the trip. I just hope the service is better next time because the kitchen deserves much higher marks than the front of the house. The actual time is over 3 hours (and, literally, after the restaurant had closed). I understand that there is pretty much nothing restaurants can do about delivery times with services like DoorDash. But this was one of the craziest and most annoying delivery experiences I've had. (And no, it wasn't the deep dish / Chicago-style pizzas that I ordered. I know those have a long cook time.) And then the pizza was cold and didn't even taste good. That was the biggest thing - it wasn't even any good. Clearly should've ordered from somewhere else. Tried two different pizzas and wasn't a fan of either. Everything tasted off - the crust, the cheese, the toppings. Now maybe it was an off night. Maybe it's better in the restaurant. Maybe the Chicago-style from here is better. I just don't know if I'm willing to take a chance on it again.

Street Parking Only & It's Definitely Hit Or Miss. I Got Lucky & Found A Spot, But It Is Metered So Be Prepared To Pay. This Spot Is Literally A "Side Door" Located On The Side Of Scarlet Oak. Super Unique Setup With Cool Lights That Make It Easy To Spot. It's Different From Your Typical Pizza Place, Which I Actually Liked. Since It Was Monday, They Had Half-Off Pizzas If You Dine In & I Had To Take Advantage Of That. CHEESE PIZZA I Ordered A Cheese Pizza & Lemon Water. This Is Detroit-Style Pizza, So Don't Expect New York Style. It's Thick, With A Generous Amount Of Mozzarella Cheese & Tomato Sauce. Honestly, It Almost Felt Like A Cheesy Bread Situation But In A Good Way. The Crust Was Buttery With A Slight Crisp On The Outside & Soft Inside, Which Was The Perfect Balance. The Ingredients Tasted Fresh, & It Was Very Filling. The Size I Got Came With 4 Slices, & Honestly, 2 Slices Was More Than Enough. I'd Definitely Come Back & Bring My Son This Feels Like A Spot He'd Love, Especially If He's Into Breadsticks & Cheesy Pizza. The Staff Was Decent, Though I Didn't Interact Much. The Overall Setup Is Interesting, A Full Restaurant Vibe Inside With This Separate Pizza Concept On The Side. Different, But It Works. I'm Glad I Finally Tried It, Unique Setup, Solid Detroit-Style Pizza, & A Great Deal If You Catch It On The Right Day. Just Have To Be In The Mood For Detroit-Style Pizza.

Premium toppings. Fresh, plentiful, great quality. We ordered both well done and received a nice crispy edge on the crust but with all the toppings it's damn near impossible to get a strong enough base to avoid bend. It's worth the compromise- trust me! Both were delicious but I'll skip the detroit crust next time, and there will be a next time. For me the detroit crust was a bit spongy and had a slight yeast taste. Not enough to ruin the experience but enough for me to choose a different crust next time. We also got the ranch for dipping - new experience. That too wasn't for me. The ranch is homemade and great texture and flavor just not what I expected. It had a heavy dill flavor...yep...dill. Again, tasty but, for me, this is more for veggies than pizza. All in all, looking forward to trying other pizzas. Check them out.

My biggest pet peeve about NY style pizza places is that it's impossible to snag a hot slice out of the oven. When the pipping hot pizza is taken out of the oven, it's tucked under the display case. By the time the pizza pie is depleted from the display case, the hidden pizza gets cold as it's finally moved up. The cycle repeats itself...so you can never get a hot fresh slice of pizza. The Garlic Knots were hands-down the best part of my oil! I wish I could order a single knot as I didn't really want 3 knots. While the Chicken and Eggplant Parm are heavily promoted on flyers at the tables, I didn't see them on the menu, it would have been helpful to see before ordering. There's plenty of seating upstairs. Decent neighborhood spot to grab a slice of pizza.
