Stopping in for a coworking session, a quick bite, to catch up with friends or have a meeting. Roost is the place to goooo! I recently was introduced to this food hall because their burger is really good. Since that first visit I've been back about 4x in a couple of months... and I don't live in this area. So this just goes to show how much I love it here. I love how much seating they have of all different sizes and forms. Booths, bar stools, coffee show style with small tables in between, a persona booth. Really anything you can think of. I've gone at various times during the day and it's always pretty easy to find a seat. I love that you can order from any of the eateries directly on your phone and then they'll bring it to you! The service has always been excellent. The pricing is similar to any other DC food hall/restaurant. Definitely check it out if you're ever in the SE area.

Great for groups, a work station, and the yummy tacos are my fave! Chips are great, but the guacamole is unseasoned. Service is always friendly. I look forward to coming here.

Great service , seated right away with water given. QR code menu And pay on your own or big group. Fun girl pizza is amazingly delish as well as the nachos. Good place to hang out

I am in town visiting some family and my cousin was raving about this place! It was a nice spot with a really cute outdoor space, which is where we sat. It was a nice day, so why not! There are a number of menus to choose from. I opted to order from the Mexican inspired menu. I ordered the enchiladas with a side of beans and rice. The servers were so kind and the service was pretty quick.. However, everything was so so good until my last bite where I found a hair in my food... I didn't think it necessary to mention it because I had basically already finished the dish, but I left the last bite with the hair in it. I'm not sure that I will be back.

Food halls are not really my vibe but we needed a quick place to get some dinner. The service was attentive and friendly and the food was good. It's a noisy environment--definitely not a good date spot or a relaxing place but good experience overall

We were in a large group and our planners chose this venue. Great option, especially when you have people of all ages and with varying preferences. Appreciated having reserved tables ready for us, but our server wasn't the best. She seemed confused by our setup and wasn't overly friendly. ALL the food was great. We ended up sharing a bunch of items, which was a good choice. Go hungry and ready to share to maximize your experience! Also -- the orange soda carnitas tacos sound strange, but are 100% worth it!!!

Love this food haul! The Roost has lots of seating but can get pretty busy during the evenings. Great place to bring large groups of people as there are so many options to choose from. Red Apron's fries might be my favorite fries ever, they're fried in pork fat and rosemary! Cameo's drinks are always great too.

My husband called this place "the new way for fast dining" and that's exactly what it is. You sit anywhere, a server brings you water, and you scan the QR code to see the menu. You can order from any restaurant in The Roost and a server will bring it right to you. The food was good and the service was fast and friendly. Will definitely come back next time we're in DC! Bathrooms are also very clean!

Been coming here for quite some time and I'm so glad more businesses are here! We sat at a booth near Slice Joint. Service was speedy and we were able to view all the new spots, opted for Buttermilk's popcorn chicken, I added the jalapeño jelly--A HIT! The chicken was fried nicely and pairs well with their homemade ranch.

I came here for a brunch meetup with a few people and not by choice. I'm not sure I understood the type of establishment this was but I learned it was a food hall, which I can best explain as a food court you'd find in the mall but dingier. The inside felt cold and uninviting. There were no brunch items in sight so I opted for a brunch burrito and green juice. The service was pretty fast, like fast food level. The cups didn't look clean to me. The food was not good, the juice was questionable. Ultimately I won't be returning.

The food and environment was fantastic. It's a great place to work during the day if you are looking for somewhere that offers more than just a coffee shop. GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE so that's amazing and service was quick and kind.

I would try again. Great spot for a family lunch and family friendly. It is a very nice spot even in Se DC

It took about 5 mins, but it showed the love in what he creates. I went specifically for the deep dish. It did not disappoint. The cheese pulled was very impressive. The crust was deliscious. Tomato sauce on top. Hmmm hmmm hmmm!!! My friend had the Detroit style. The crust had like a parmesan crust and you could tell the difference between the Chicago and Detroit. I did not see the Nonna, but I did take home a small new York thin. It was good as well, but I will stick with the Chicago or Detroit when I go again.. I will be going again. The strawberry cheese cake..there are no words to describe. I did not talk at all while eating this whole meal. Back to the cheesecake. It comes in a cup, with fresh strawberry on top. Thick and creamy with a Graham cracker bottom crust. I was so waiting to try this restraunt and so glad I did. Worth the trip to DC from manassas. The beet salad was amazing although a little light on beets. The buffalo mozzarella on top was delicious and we spread it over the salad like a poached egg which had a nice contrast to the bitterness of the fresh arugula base. The pizza was our favorite dish. The crust was amazing and the fresh basil really put it over the top. The gnocchi pasta was great in itself), I would have liked something to cut the cheesy/pistachio sauce/flavor a bit. Maybe a touch of tomato sauce. The tiramisu was certainly made fresh in-house (as confirmed by the server) but we actually thought the pistachio gelato (also made in the house) was the better of the two desserts. Will definitely come back here to try more items on the menu.

I've got friends who are longtime Cap Hill residents and this has become a favorite spot to meet up. Been coming here for about 2 years. The Pacci's salad is lovely; spinach and pear mingle together, making it memorable. I find the calamari to be tasty and crispy. The cheese tortellini grows on you; subtle woodsy flavors emerge in the sauce due to a light touch of mushrooms and artichokes. For desserts, their limoncello cake is fab. The coffee is average, and I wish it was more than that to complement the desserts. Service is friendly, lingering is encouraged. It's a relaxing environment, can unwind easily here. Unfortunately, my experience with reservations on-line has been terrible, that needs attention.

That month I had started Uber driving, was in this area of DC, had heard good things about Wiseguy, and decided to eat here. Although I don't like paying to park just to simply eat a meal, I sometimes will make an exception for convenience and/or if it's a place I really want to go. But for the most part, I'll go to restaurant where they have free parking or at least I can find free parking near the restaurant. I remembered getting a parking spot very close and feel like I feed the meter like 50 cents in 2014 parking prices for a quick 30 minute meal. They have all kinds of varieties of slices from the standard toppings or just cheese to fancy ones. Although the pizza is fairly thin, but average for New York style pizza. I tried Andy's Pizza 11 years later in 2025, and while it was solid although not as good as Wiseguy, my real complaint with Andy's was that the pizza is very thin, where I was hungry very soon later; so a much worse value as pricing is comparable to Wiseguy. Wiseguy slices are big, and the pizza is top notch New York style. I went to this location a couple of more times after my initial August 2014 visit as I loved the pizza. Then, they opened up other locations. I went to Navy Yard one at least twice, once after a Nationals baseball game after a disappointing loss for my 4th favorite baseball team, Texas Rangers. Sorry Nats fans, but Nats are in my bottom 10 teams. I also went to Rosslyn & Pentagon City location, where parking isn't quite as bad. They even had a Wheaton Mall food court location, which I got to experience once, but they sadly closed. Every experience with Wiseguy has been positive.

For me the detroit crust was a bit spongy and had a slight yeast taste. Not enough to ruin the experience but enough for me to choose a different crust next time. We also got the ranch for dipping - new experience. That too wasn't for me. The ranch is homemade and great texture and flavor just not what I expected. It had a heavy dill flavor...yep...dill.
