Beautiful little coffee shop attached to a book store. Quiet with music playing, great service and the coffee was exceptional. Also served cinnamon buns and other baked goods but haven't tried them yet. Would highly recommend this place to book lovers.

I love this place so much! The pastries and breakfast items are so good. The buttery crispy croissant are the closest, you can get to Paris without taking the trip. The small coffees here come with 2 espressos unlike Starbucks (tall). Which makes your ice latte taste more like coffee instead of a milk shake. They even serve cortados here. Staff is friendly.

Lovely new cafe at the wharf right by the Politics and Prose bookstore! Stop by to chat with a friend or study here. The pastries were delicious. I really enjoyed their chocolate chip cookie and their ham and choose croissant. It was the perfect balance of chewy and crispy. Service is also quick and the server is friendly. I love their interior decor with a nice sunroof and ambient lighting. They also have WiFi and a bathroom here

Took a quick scroll around and found this new spot! Nice and modern looking cafe right next to the bookstore! Chill vibes. The barista is absolutely friendly and very accommodating as we were inquiring related to the menu and drinks. Ordered yuzu matcha tonic - definitely refreshing taste as you could taste sparkling tonic to hit off with a slight tone of earthy matcha and a sprite of yuzu citrusy flavors. A delight drink around here! Also tried a chocolate with sea salt cookie, definitely fudgy bite but satisfying integrated flavors. Soft and slightly chewy. Definitely would come back for this cookie if I craved for a chocolate cookie.

I was disappointed by the plain avocado toast that was $18, if you're looking to grab a bite I would suggest to walk down to toastique where they have more reasonable prices for similar menu items that come with additional toppings. The space is minimal and it's a decent place to work if you get there early (it gets more crowded in the afternoon). There are a few large tables with outlets available and it's pretty quiet inside. They do offer a good assortment of pastries which looked delicious.

Super good. Best cafe we tried in DC. The pastry was great! Get the pistachio croissant better than any croissant I had in LA!

When I found out that a new bakery opened up at the Wharf, I knew I had to give it a try. We got the quiche and the chocolate cookie, and both were excellent. Both the quiche and cookie were nice and rich, and really hot the spot. I definitely plan on coming back here more.

The Wharf - Washington, DC - out for a lunchtime walk and came across this little bakery cafe. The cafe adjoins Politics and Prose. It's well lit by a beautiful round skylight so probably a nice cafe to take a Zoom call if you had to do so. A number of people were working there when I stopped in. The cafe worker helped me choose from the 3 delicious looking cookie options - double chocolate, chocolate chip and snickerdoodle. She quickly packed my cookie to go in a small brown bag. Back at my desk I tucked in. The cookie had plenty of chocolate chips and a good consistency but also an aftertaste i couldn't identify. I would return but definitely give this cookie a pass.

Great service, friendly staff awesome food. $14 for a fresh baked loaf of sourdough... Great Chai, designer cappuccino. Comfortable space and outlets for charging are in abundance. Clean quiet shared space with the bookstore.

My favorite bakery has a new location on the Wharf!!! The same delicious pastries and food options are here along with much more seating. There are a couple large communal tables along with smaller bistro-style tables inside and outside. I grabbed a pan suisse here and it's just as tender and delicate as I know. If you're unfamiliar, they make a variety of viennoiserie from standard croissants, one of the best ham and cheese croissants ever, and a fantastic morning bun (my personal fav!). Their basque cheesecake is also a winner and they make a super dense bread pudding that is carb heaven. I can't say there are many businesses I frequent on the Wharf, but this will be my go-to when I'm ever in the neighborhood now. So glad to see this local businesses expanding!

Cute coffee shop on the Wharf that opened up not too long ago! It's adjacent to a bookstore and has a very simplistic vibe with a good amount of seating. The quality of coffee is quite good and they have a variety of pastries too. Their drink specials by default are a bit sweet so I would suggest ordering half sweet.

Really good! Ham & cheese croissant was my favorite! Quiche was good too. The iced latte was delish & the london fog.

We ordered the build your own omelette…read morewith roasted potatoes, french toast with berries, white chocolate chip coconut macadamia cookie, pain au chocolate croissant, blueberry scone, peppermint hot chocolate, and chai tea latte. Total came out to approximately $55. What's hot - Menu. Good variety and there appears to be something for everyone, even possibly vegans. There are sweet and savory options, eggs, french toast, salads, sandwiches, etc... - Quality. Excellent! All 3 of us really enjoyed the food that we ordered. Their french toast and omelettes are delicious. My husband particularly liked the maple syrup that was served with his french toast, because the maple flavor tasted a bit stronger than your average maple syrup. Their pastries are also delicious! Soft, good texture and not too sweet. Given the softness, my best guess is that their sweet treats are recently made. - Service. Pretty good. We did not wait very long for our orders to be ready. The hot foods, like the omelettes, french toast, and drinks, appear to be freshly made. - Price. Good value for money, given the quality and portions. - Location. Convenient location in D.C. However, given the location, be prepared for it to get busy quickly, which means decent lines and wait times. What's not - Interior space. Very tight squeeze inside. There are tables and chairs inside, but their biggest tables can only fit 4 people. If you have children with a stroller or whatever, be prepared to not have room inside. They have outside seating, but that's only conducive to when the weather is warm. This place appears to be popular, which means it can get packed very quickly and seating can be difficult to find. - Acoustics. They play relatively loud music inside, which makes it difficult to have conversations with those you're with. That the interior is small, the music travels easily, which does not help. - Omelette. Even though I liked the flavor of my omelette, it was rather thin. I prefer my omelette to be more weighty/fluffy in texture. Additionally, cheese is not automatically included with the omelette. I ordered mushrooms, red peppers, spinach, and bacon in my omelette. I mistakenly believed cheese was automatically included, but I was wrong. - Parking. Is not easy to find given the location. There is street parking, but it's very difficult to come by. Final Answer Would like to come back, but probably not a first choice given the tight squeeze of the interior. If I do return, would more likely than not order takeaway.

What keeps me coming back time and time again are their double-fried tostones. The texture and flavor is absolutely insane, and the sauce it comes with is to die for. I've also tried their Cuban sandwich, which is hot, melty, and scrumptious. The shop itself is bright and modern, and even has a small outdoor patio section. The staff seemed a bit overburdened trying to keep up with orders and get everything out in time. That said, the young man and woman who prepared my order were kind and very focused on doing their best. I definitely plan to return and give them another try under less hectic conditions. This location is an entire vibe. It's tucked down a painted alley that leads you to a side entrance, which I actually preferred over the front. Parking is what it is at the Wharf, but I recommend parking near the museum and walking over. Once inside, you're met with gorgeous decor and a thoughtfully designed space that feels like a Spanish-style bar set in nature. The tile, the color palette, and the food and drink options all come together beautifully. I ordered the Carrot Cake Con Leche, which came out to about $8 after tax. It was tasty and a great treat after my morning run. It did take about 15 to 20 minutes to receive my order, but given how busy it was, that felt understandable. I'm looking forward to returning and experiencing it at a calmer time.
