Stopped here for breakfast, tried the sliders and calzone. Everything absolutely delicious. The mocha is a great option too if you want something sweet for coffee. It was so good we had breakfast here 2 days in a row during our DC stay!

Absolutely love having Pretzel Bakery in the neighborhood. The breakfast sandwiches are fantastic. They might be a little small, but they do have the special when you buy two. Cold brew is strong and smooth. They have few options for the pretzels, but I suggest getting the deal when you buy three. Definitely worth trying them all out. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Residential parking in the area and shouldn't be too hard to find a spot. Not the best hours during the week, so I can sometimes stop by on weekends.

We stopped by here for breakfast since our AirBnB was only one block away, and it did not disappoint! We got the Everything Pretzel, Sweet Pretzel, two Breakfast Sliders, and a Basil Lemonade. The pretzels are amazing - freshly baked with pillowy soft with the perfect amount of chew on the inside, while the outside is slightly crispy. The Everything Pretzel wasn't too salty, but my favorite was the Sweet Pretzel. I thought the glaze would be overpoweringly sweet, but it was just the right level of sweetness and cinnamon intensity to not take away from the pretzel itself. The Breakfast Sliders used a pretzel bun as a delicious vehicle for eggs, bacon, and cheese, but the egg and bacon could've been hotter. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by here, it was an unexpected highlight of our trip to DC!

Perfect pretzel place! This small grab and go restaurant is the simple neighborhood stop where you can grab either a light pretzel or a heavier option with egg, bacon or a hot dog. It has a fast casual feel so you can either sit at one of the small tables inside or outside. I loved the breakfast sliders with bacon, egg and cheese pretzel sandwich. The regular salt pretzels were delicious with a touch of salt and not too much. The wide selection of sauces were also delicious. Service was fast and efficient.

Loooong overdue review. I guess I forgot to write a review for when I first came here back in 2018. Glad to see it's still around. Really affordable and quick grab n' go kind of place. Friendly service. Located at the corner 15th and C street. Pretzel sliders are two for $7. My only regret was only getting one of them! Got the bacon, egg & cheese pretzel buns. Not sure what kind of cheese they use, but I love it. Wanted to stop by on Monday as well, but looks like they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Only open during day hours, but glad to see business is doing well as I saw lots of people hanging out at their outdoor seating. Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for breakfast on-the-go.

Fun little spot. The food was great! Sweet pretzel tastes like a better homemade cinnamon sugar pretzel. The calzones were good and seasoned well. Had nice crust and the cheese filling was well seasoned too! The pretzel bomb was hands down the best! Cinnamon sugar "sweet" pretzel, but filled with warm Nutella.

I'm so glad we stopped here! We got two salted pretzels, a sweet pretzel, and a pretzel dog. The hot dog was very high quality and paired great with the everything bagel seasoning on it. The pretzels were very high quality and soft. Highly recommend. The glaze on the sweet pretzel was sweet but not overwhelming. We also ordered the pub cheese which was definitely a more traditional German style rather than American. Super cute place with quick service and plenty of seating- including two tables outside.

Please franchise in Cincinnati, Ohio! YUM! We were lucky to have the Pretzel Bakery one block away from our AirBNB, breakfast was warm and fresh each morning! I'm a sucker for pretzels and simple menus. PB hits the mark on both. With a selection of salted, sweet or everything pretzels, you can't go wrong. Grab a caramel mustard and your taste buds will thank you. The most impressive part? My sensitive gluten free hubby had no reaction to the breakfast sliders! How?!?! As if we didn't already love the Capitol Hill neighborhood, the Pretzel Bakery really seals the deal. Warm, chewy pretzels, a hefty selection of dips and tasty Nutella mochas leave you wanting more!

This review is for all my pretzel lovers out there...ME included!! So there is a PRETZEL BAKERY in D.C.!! One of my supporters brought it to my attention, and you already know. Pretzel Bomb with cinnamon glaze & Nutella filled, Bacon, egg & cheese pretzel sliders, Pretzel Calzones, Dips, Coffee, Teas, Italian Ice, & Craft Bottled Sodas. . Their Bacon, Egg, Cheese, Pretzel ($3.75). STAMP!! I don't know what kind of cheese they used, but it was pungent & melted perfectly with this tasty pretzel!! Their Calzone (with mozzarella, pepperoni, ricotta, marinara, Ricotta, & basil $8.50). LIKE THAT!! Cheesy, lightly salted, with a delicious marinara!! Their Pretzel Dog (inside a a everything roll $6). LIKE THAT!! A meaty all beef Hebrew National hot dog, & savory pretzel. This is a nice little neighborhood spot to grab a breakfast sandwich or even just a snack! We swung by the other day to grab some breakfast sandwiches. There was a bench outside so our dog waited there. When I went inside, I was greeted by a really friendly young man who gave great service. He and some other people behind the counter moved very fast and had a good system down for getting people their drinks and food. The breakfast sandwiches were small but tasty. I prefer soft bacon and flavorful cheese (I believe they use sharp cheddar) so I loved it. My husband prefers a more toned down cheese and crispy bacon so he didn't love it as much. Overall, I definitely recommend and will be back!

I have never been much of one for pretzels, but a specialty place like The Pretzel Bakery is the kind that could make me a convert. When fresh out of the oven, the pretzel pastries are top notch and make for an ideal breakfast / lunch on the go. I've come here a few times with friends / family and have come away with some pretty stellar experiences. For one, I appreciate that its located in a semi residential area, yet it's so popular that the mornings are usually teeming with people looking to score some coffee or fresh pretzels. The thing to get in my opinion is their breakfast sliders. They might seem small but they're plenty hearty. Throw in some iced coffee or juice and breakfast is served. Stuff here is just a *tad* expensive. I am never one to shy away from pricier stuff, but willing to indulge at a moment's notice. Service is efficient and quick. I have no doubt I'd be a regular here if I lived in the area.

Great little local option. They are open everyday, 8am to 1pm. I've been several times. Sometimes I just enjoy a pretzel to go. They also have good pretzel breakfast sandwiches and pretzel calzones. They even have their own t-shirts for sale. Check them out.

Overall a good experience and I will visit again when at the Wharf. Previous Review: August 28, 2022 CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE: I visited this pretzel shop at 6:24pm on Sunday, August 28th, 2022 and encountered a male employee at the service window who proceeded to ask how he could help me. When I informed him I wanted to purchase a salted pretzel he proceeded to tell me that there were no pretzels and that they were closed. He then said they had recently closed for the night a few minutes prior to my arrival and that they were only selling soft drinks. Considering the restaurant doesn't close until 7pm and the fact the employee's statement regarding operating status was so ambiguous, I asked a clarifying question, "are you closed or is it that you simply don't have anymore pretzels?" In my mind if a business says they're closed that means they are closed for business and not selling anything. He responded in a very disrespectful tone by saying "we're not open, that is what closed means." At that point I disengaged and simply asked him for his name. He informed me his name was Josiah. I'm not putting too much interest into whether or not that was really his name because he hesitated for a moment when I asked him. Normally that is an indication that someone just gave you the wrong name. To wrap up, having not purchased anything on this visit really is disappointing considering this was my first experience ever with this business. One in which the customer service was far from appropriate. Businesses can separate themselves from the pack in the area of customer service by how they treat potential customers when no sales transaction occurs. Whoever manned the service window on this day could benefit from additional coaching and mentoring in basic customer service.

Several minutes later, the receipt arrived and I was surprised to see a 20% service charge tacked on. The service charge had not been mentioned when I paid my tab. I spoke to the employee and asked for the tip to be refunded. The employee apologized for the confusion but also blamed me for not ordering off a paper menu (which mentions the service charge in small print). I eventually spoke to a supervisor, who didn't seem to care. He didn't apologize and wouldn't issue the refund. He said I could write an email to complain. I told them that they handled the situation poorly and could expect a chargeback and a negative review.
