Great place to watch sports in Navy Yard. Last time I was there with a group of friends to watch the Washington Spirit in the playoffs. The place was at full capacity but it was still easy to order since they have QR menus coupled with digital ordering from your phone. Also easy to get around the restaurant despite it being at capacity. They keep a sports sized igloo filled with water for a serve yourself experience. Plenty of screens and even projected on a large wall so you don't miss the action from any seat. Full service and size bar, not to mention some great bar foods; their loaded taters are a hit but the plain taters were not good. Giant pretzel is a must order. read more

Such a big fan of this place! I've honestly never sat inside because we always bring our dog and sit on the patio. It's a huge space, inside and out. You order with a QR code at every table/space. You check out with each order rather than running up a tab and accidentally forgetting to close out then getting charged for not closing out. It bothers some people but I think it's fine and easy. I love their food selection almost as much as their drink and beer selection. My favorite go to bites are the chicken thighs, wings, and corn dog bites. They have a lot of other great things but I love these so much and all the dip choices, from regulars like ketchup, mustard and ranch, to a sweet and spicy dip, citrus ranch, and bbq. We had ridden our bikes past Solace and that it looked fun so we decided to return on another day to give it a try. We're glad we did! The atmosphere was lively, and the drink selection didn't disappoint -- plenty of craft beers and other creative libations to choose from. Ate here before going to a soccer game at Audi Field. This little brewery has quite the open and roomy setup, as it was nice to have the option to sit further away from the bar or close to it. The food here is not very good, for the price you pay for it. Had the cripsy chicken thighs, a caesar salad, and the frenchie burger w/ tots. The chicken thighs were overdone, the salad didn't have enough dressing, and the burger was more bread than anything. The tots weren't plentiful for the extra $4, so that was quite the disappointment. I also don't appreciate being forced to order through an app, and then get stuck with a credit card convenience fee. People still have cash, so at least give people the choice. read more

What a fun place ... in such a great location! Right on the water and adjacent to both Nationals Park and Audi Field. I came with a few friends to watch a match on their TVs and we had a great time. Of course, there were plenty of libations to choose from. But I was getting hungry and decided to order a few things from the menu. And they were all excellent! To start with (and a must for all future visits) was the Classic Crispy Chicken. OMG! The chicken was sooo tender, with the right amount of crispiness on the outside. Amazing! And it went so well with the various dipping sauces they provided. I could not get enough. In fact, I think we ordered several rounds to share. And a few other notables were the Bavarian Pretzel (Super soft! And went well with the mustard or melted cheese they provided) and the Tots (well, I just love tots, and they go well with everything!). Thankfully, I came in the offseason, so parking was easy. The location right up against the Anacostia and across the road from Nats Park is really great. It's a breezy spot, with huge opened walls, which must be great when it's hot, but was dang chilly this evening. We ate just the pretzel and enjoyed the quality mustard and the very good beer cheese. We stopped by on a cold off-season Sunday afternoon, so we luckily didn't have to deal with any chaotic crowds- which meant easy street parking-only a quick walk-and ample open seating choices despite the chill, we opted to sit outside, as they did have various football games playing on large tvs & the volume was intensely loud (not the best 'chill atmosphere' since we weren't there for the game, but to catch up with friends) Ordering beer was very confusing- very sad because I did rate our beers 5stars untapped- quality haze and piney dank hops- but experience-wise..... I appreciate the bartenders giving me a few samples from their large IPA selection to try before committing, but oof it was hard to commit- after trying the sample, I knew which I wanted as a full pour, but the bartender told us me had to order using the app- the app wasn't as intuitive, as it was also paired with their food menu, so scrolling was a glitchy pain- clicking on beers to read descriptions & select between sizes was frustrating because it would automatically put beers in the cart-then the app added on automatic fees-convivence fees-and tip- so my first round of beer was right beer, wrong size, and auto everything- I went to the bar to try to ask to cancel it & correct it, but I agree with a fellow yelper, "#grumpypants"- he just kept pushing me to the app- I asked about opening a tab so we didn't have to deal with this beer by beer, but again- he kept telling us to order via the app-which glitched- our second round, the 'order' then 'confirm order' kept spooling & spooling- so being unsure if we actually ordered beer or not we sadly had to go ask grumpy bartender who just rang us up two beers- but now, days later, I'm seeing multiple credit card charges lucky the bar manager has been nice about emailing to help correct-refund charges-and asked us to kindly come back for a better experience & round on him- so I'm hoping the second visit goes better- I absolutely would be weary of the app- I can see the positives if we were there on crazy game day crowds, avoiding creating long lines, but the glitches seems to be reoccurring yelp woes read more

We've been here quite a few times! It's definitely a great spot. Love the vibe, drinks and food. And kid-friendly which is always a plus. Good food menu with many options. My husband leans towards the IPAs and I always go their seltzers! In-laws were visiting so we wanted to take them to one of our favorite spots! Great indoor and outdoor seating super close to Nat's park. Great IPAs as one would expect from Solace. Check out Lucy Juicy (8.5% ABV) Double IPA brewed with El Dorado, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops. Fruity and dank with some resin. They brew a great brown ale and also a stout as well. This location has bar style food. We were impressed with the brats. Delicious food, great beer on tap, and lots of space! The staff were friendly and prompt and didn't complain when my toddler was exploring inside. I love that they have a photo booth! It was hard to decide what to order because several dishes sounded yummy. My brother comes here a lot and shared it was some of the best brewery food and he wasn't wrong. So the food part was a fail. The bartenders imán and the guy were super nice. The chef who brought the food out was also cool. I think I would be back to try the burgers bc it was the first thing listed on the menu and looking at others plates it was appealing. I had the juice IPA and it was bomb. My partner tried an ale and really like it. They took the pretzel off the bill and told me to give them another try. I will when I'm back in town!! We decided to stop by Solace to get a drink in the AC after a warm walk outside, and we really enjoyed our stop. They have a pretty big indoor space, as well as outdoor seating. I was most excited about the watermelon frose, the taste was delicious and it was refreshing on that hot day. We shared an order of Tot-chos, which were so good. The tots had a good amount of toppings on them and the flavors were good. The one disappointing part was that the tables had QR codes but you had to start your order at the bar. When we went to order at the bar, the two people working seemed not interesting in taking our orders. Bartender wouldn't change the 48-7 Iowa St vs South Dakota game. I wouldn't have minded if I saw someone passionately cheering for Iowa State but there wasn't a single Cyclone in the place. We stopped by Solance to beat the heat after a walk over the bridge (which I highly recommend - great breeze!). They have a nice indoor space, with different long table seating options and a long bar against the windows to sit and people watch. The tat-chos, essentially loaded tater tots, were excellent. I particularly appreciated the large portion of avocado! We also had the watermelon froze, it took a while to get the timing (the machines were in "making mode" when we originally ordered) but the flavor was worth the wait! I will say the service was just okay. Two different bartenders were working, and they both seemed... inconvenienced that we were looking to order. Came here with my wife last month on a quiet Thursday and it was very busy despite no Nationals or United game. There is a great variety of indoor and outdoor seating, very little which was still available but we got two seats at the outside bar stools facing the ins. The beer is all amazing and we got several half pints. We got a Watermelon Salad and the Expos Poutine Tots the latter which is a great tribute to the former name and location of the Nationals. The food was delicious and the portions were quite large considering the affordable prices we paid. The beer took a while to come out and we kept getting the bartenders attention and we understood they were busy. There was a glitch where they could only find the food and not drinks for our order but the manager made it up and gave us another free half pint. We are regulars here and it hits every time. The beers are so good - 2 legit to wit and Lucy juicy IPA are our go tos. The pretzel is awesome, especially considering it's half the price of the dacha pretzel around the corner. The fried chicken thighs (both regular and spicy) are amazing, and the house-made sauces they come with are sooo good. For $11 these are hard to beat, and they feed two. Get a $6 massive order of curly fries and you're set. Youre not here for the health food, so embrace that. The service is always perfect too, and all the guys are super nice every time. It's great to have another option in the bustling Navy Yard & Capitol Riverfront area. Inside and outside, with the unseasonably warm weather, were packed and it was difficult to find a table. No doubt this will be a hotspot for Nats games. The outside area is great, as there are wonderful views of the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge and Anacostia River. The inside area is well thought out, has plenty of room, and is nice and bright. The beers are A+ and enjoyed a couple of food items, including the tasty District brat half smoke. As for the operations, the mobile pay system is not as user friendly as those at other restaurants and bars.
