    Crispy Chicken Thighs
    John M.

We had ridden our bikes past Solace and that it looked fun so we decided to return on another day to give it a try. We're glad we did! Here's what we liked: - It wasn't a Nationals game day and the Spring weather was perfect, so it was a great place to hang out and enjoy the view! - They have several of their own beers, as well as a lot of guest taps. Their Hazy IPA was excellent! - We ordered the crispy chicken thighs, which really hit the spot... It came with three sauces which we liked. Bottom line: We were going to check out a different place nearby to have our second beers, but we liked the beer and vibe so much at Solace that we decided to stay there...that says it all, right?

Not my usual stomping grounds, but I made my way to Solace Outpost in Navy Yard for a networking Happy Hour. The atmosphere was lively, and the drink selection didn't disappoint -- plenty of craft beers and other creative libations to choose from. I didn't get a chance to try the food myself, but everything coming out of the kitchen for my colleagues looked seriously good. I'll definitely be back to explore the menu.

Great vibes. Food is always delicious, though I highly suggest you order from the bartender versus using their online ordering system as it only works about 50% of the time. They have a great selection of beer. There are plenty of tvs for catching a game. Indoor outdoor seating. It can get rather crowded during sports events but I've always found standing room or a table.

I'm always a sucker for a good sandwich and tots. Think I had the chicken bacon sandwich with tater tots. Was very tasty. Received my food pretty quickly. Was here for a going away gathering. I'd highly recommend. This place is at the navy yard and has some amazing views. I have no complaints.

Great beer at a great location. It's convenient to several things near the stadium and Navy Yard. It's a great place to watch a game with several huge TVs. The have QR code ordering and the service is quick! I'll be back if in the area.

We've been here quite a few times! It's definitely a great spot. Love the vibe, drinks and food. And kid-friendly which is always a plus. Good food menu with many options. My husband leans towards the IPAs and I always go their seltzers! In-laws were visiting so we wanted to take them to one of our favorite spots! The pretzel is by far my favorite pretzel and THE best I've had so far! And the we also love the fried chicken thighs! Pair it up with one of their small salads (still a HUGE portion!) and you have a great meal!

Great indoor and outdoor seating super close to Nat's park. Great IPAs as one would expect from Solace. Check out Lucy Juicy (8.5% ABV) Double IPA brewed with El Dorado, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops. Fruity and dank with some resin. They brew a great brown ale and also a stout as well. This location has bar style food. We were impressed with the brats. The stand out being The Bavaria: with sauerkraut, beer braised onions, mustard, and crispy bacon. The curly fries were decent, but could have been crispier. Service was excellent.

Kid friendly brewery with delicious food!

Delicious food, great beer on tap, and lots of space! The staff were friendly and prompt and didn't complain when my toddler was exploring inside. I love that they have a photo booth! It was hard to decide what to order because several dishes sounded yummy. My brother comes here a lot and shared it was some of the best brewery food and he wasn't wrong. We especially loved the fries- curly, tots, and regular. I really enjoyed the crisp pilsner, and my husband loved all the beer options. The outdoor patio is spacious and has water views.

In searching for dog friendly breweries, this spot came up highly rated. The good: the views, outdoor area, outdoor game area and selection. The bad: pretzel came out rock hard, and took 25 mins but they were busy. Honestly they prob forgot it in the oven but things happen! When they brought out a second one, the queso was ice cold. So the food part was a fail. The bartenders imán and the guy were super nice. The chef who brought the food out was also cool. I think I would be back to try the burgers bc it was the first thing listed on the menu and looking at others plates it was appealing. I had the juice IPA and it was bomb. My partner tried an ale and really like it. They took the pretzel off the bill and told me to give them another try. I will when I'm back in town!! I'm only knocking a star off bc the pretzel we ended up giving to the dog. Oh and there's TVs outside for watching sports, nice touch.

Great new brewery down by the water near Nats Stadium. The place is all glass windows which with the sun feels amazing even if it's a little bright. It got a little chilly once the sun went down, but the drinks helped with that. Looking forward to going back with some friends.

We ordered the Mac and cheese bites but they did not have any Mac.. it was just fried cut up mozzarella sticks. Which is great.. if that's what it was called on the menu. We also ordered a fried chicken sandwich and a pub burger. The chicken sandwich was fine. The pub burger was ... meh. The pretzel bun they brought out was over toasted and looked like it was pretty dry before that. Like it was HARD. No one came to check on us after the food arrived so I had to take my plate to the check out desk to address the issue. Cait took care of it right away; I asked for just a new bun - I don't mind swapping it out myself. But in the end the burger was still just meh. Almost forgot to mention the fries .. not great. They were salted well but the fries themselves were almost chewy. When we checked out, Cait said apologized and mentioned some staffing issues. She offered to get in touch with some sort of compensation but didn't offer to waive our one beer. We left paying full price for everything. Again, fine spot if you just wanted to hang out and drink beer.

The customer service is attentive and friendly. The wings and Walkers Smash Burger were a disappointment in the flavor department. The burger was bland and the wings did not have good texture. I like that Walters has adequate and ample booth seating. There is indoor and outdoor seating options, with plenty of big screen televisions throughout the restaurant. On big game nights, you can see the game on multiple screens and from various vantages. The bar is centrally located and seemingly accommodating for the size of the venue. The one downside of this experience is the mens restroom was downright filthy. Apparently there was an overflow or clogged urinal which spilled all over the floor and created an unsanitary situation. Overall, a good experience and viable option that is closer to South Capitol Street and not deep in the heart of Navy Yard.

The bars and restaurants on the main level of this area are always packed - I don't think the masses know about this nice bar quite yet. This outdoor bar overlooks Nats stadium (you can see about 60-70% of the field ); the views are absolutely fantastic, especially on warm weather days. There are 6-10 bar seats at a long bar and another smattering of 6-8ish bar tables scattered on the rooftop. There are also some more unique lounge style seating which really makes the spot seem comfortable and relaxed. There are a couple TVs hung in the bar area which also makes this a great place to catch a football game on Sundays. Their happy hour is everyday from 4-7pm; they offer discounted beer and wine for $7-8 and select discounted cocktails for $10. The service is always quick and the bartenders are warm and friendly. There is a limited food menu, though I'd advise grabbing a bite elsewhere. I've had the food just once; my chicken tenders were pretty flavorless and had a tough texture - won't get those again.
