Saw this place doing numbers on TT for their Stranger things themed decorations and as a super fan I had to go! Unfortunately the day we went (12/13/25) we were stopped at the door and informed that entry to the bar required you to participate in a $25 bar crawl -_- . Besides the fact that they didn't list this on their instagram it just seems bad for business to only open the bar up for the bar crawl. Off that alone we had a sour taste in our mouths but, we'd already made the trek there and were starving. It was decent bar food. I had a double smash burger with fries - 7/10 - I like my smash burgers a bit thinner with a little crunch to them but the patties were roughly the size of two McDonald's patties. Not a bad thing, just something to note if you wanted a thinner burger. My friend had old bay wings and said they had a good texture. They had $6 lemon drop shooters so I had two of those and they were solid but a bit on the bitter side. The Stranger things theme left much to be desired. The decorations were very basic and the bar itself is kind of cluttered so the decorations don't pop as much as they could. The girl who did the video on TT did her big one though because it looked great in the video. With so many other spots to visit in navy yard I couldn't see myself coming back, but I don't think I'm their target audience anyway.

Came for some drinks before the Nats game. Was a Saturday afternoon and the garage doors were open - was pretty warm in there. They have some good drink deals. Sat at the bar, bartender was friendly. Didn't try any food. Tabs already include 20% service charge, menu states 100% goes to employees.

Prior to attending the Winter Wonderfest at Nationals Park, we stopped by Problem Child to check out Destination Dreamlands: Upside-Down Popup Bar. Among all the Destination Dreamlands I've visited, this one was my favorite. From the eerie decor to the playful holiday twists, it truly felt like stepping straight into Hawkins. The setup was super laid-back. You order directly at the bar and then grab a seat wherever you like, making it easy to explore the space, soak in the details, and settle into your own little corner of the Upside Down. They had Stranger Things themed cocktails. We enjoyed several rounds of cocktails including Eleven's Eggo, Holly Jolly Hopper, Upside Down the Chimney, and Hawkins Holiday Cocoa.

Relaxed atmosphere to watch football games and solid food. Robin is one of the best bartenders in DC. I highly recommend.

We ordered the Mac and cheese bites but they did not have any Mac.. it was just fried cut up mozzarella sticks. Which is great.. if that's what it was called on the menu. We also ordered a fried chicken sandwich and a pub burger. The chicken sandwich was fine. The pub burger was ... meh. The pretzel bun they brought out was over toasted and looked like it was pretty dry before that. Like it was HARD. No one came to check on us after the food arrived so I had to take my plate to the check out desk to address the issue. Cait took care of it right away; I asked for just a new bun - I don't mind swapping it out myself. But in the end the burger was still just meh. Almost forgot to mention the fries .. not great. They were salted well but the fries themselves were almost chewy. When we checked out, Cait said apologized and mentioned some staffing issues. She offered to get in touch with some sort of compensation but didn't offer to waive our one beer. We left paying full price for everything. Again, fine spot if you just wanted to hang out and drink beer.

At Bluejacket, they have put their money where they are known for pouring beer into the beer production process itself. Here is the thing, they make great beer and their food is well executed as well. In addition to great beer, their offerings were highly diverse, offering something for every palate. Being that I am currently appreciating lagers, I enjoyed their Gan Bei, their Common People and I especially liked their Briefly Gorgeous beer. Serving in all formats from samples to 1 liters, you can sample or consume until your heart is content. Pro tip, look out for their happy hour where the offer discounts on liters of beer! I really enjoyed the burger and fries the last time I was there. It was on point and paired perfectly with my helles. Service was good, and let us camp for about 3 hours while watching a game. I have and will be back, thanks for what you do, Bluejacket. One request - look into procuring a side pour system, I think your lagers would be exceptional in that serving style.

The place was at full capacity but it was still easy to order since they have QR menus coupled with digital ordering from your phone. Also easy to get around the restaurant despite it being at capacity. They keep a sports sized igloo filled with water for a serve yourself experience. Plenty of screens and even projected on a large wall so you don't miss the action from any seat. Full service and size bar, not to mention some great bar foods; their loaded taters are a hit but the plain taters were not good. Giant pretzel is a must order.

My favorite go to bites are the chicken thighs, wings, and corn dog bites. They have a lot of other great things but I love these so much and all the dip choices, from regulars like ketchup, mustard and ranch, to a sweet and spicy dip, citrus ranch, and bbq. My go to beers are Party Cloudy and Lucy Juicy, always delicious! It's a really nice spot along the river and great atmosphere.

Parking can be tricky since Nats Park is right across the street, so plan ahead or consider rideshare. The area itself is great though -- lots of cute bars and restaurants nearby if you want to explore before or after. I'd recommend this spot mainly for the vibes and drinks. They don't have an extensive food menu but more of small bites. I ordered a quesadilla, which wasn't the best I've had (reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5) but the ambience made up for it. I loved the fireplaces; they kept us warm with the cold night. When we went, it was pretty light, so we had the rooftop almost entirely to ourselves, which made it even better. Fast service and a great atmosphere overall -- definitely worth checking out for the views and experience!

The bars and restaurants on the main level of this area are always packed - I don't think the masses know about this nice bar quite yet. This outdoor bar overlooks Nats stadium (you can see about 60-70% of the field ); the views are absolutely fantastic, especially on warm weather days. There are 6-10 bar seats at a long bar and another smattering of 6-8ish bar tables scattered on the rooftop. There are also some more unique lounge style seating which really makes the spot seem comfortable and relaxed. There are a couple TVs hung in the bar area which also makes this a great place to catch a football game on Sundays. Their happy hour is everyday from 4-7pm; they offer discounted beer and wine for $7-8 and select discounted cocktails for $10. The service is always quick and the bartenders are warm and friendly. There is a limited food menu, though I'd advise grabbing a bite elsewhere. I've had the food just once; my chicken tenders were pretty flavorless and had a tough texture - won't get those again. Would rather pay a little more for better quality at Nats park. I'll continue to be a frequent visitor - this is the perfect rooftop pregame spot.
