Auntie Anne's has become one of my favorite pre-train rituals at Union Station. I usually grab the pretzel bites right before boarding, and they're consistently delicious. I've also gotten the classic salted pretzel, which is equally good. But I need to give appropriate recognition to the fountain soda here. It is excellent. I would put it dangerously close to McDonald's Coke territory, and I do not give that compliment lightly. They're also always fast and efficient, which is particularly important when you're buying a pretzel while mentally calculating exactly how many minutes you have before your train leaves. I've never had an issue getting my food and making my train. Perhaps most impressive: they're located right next to Cinnabon. Growing up, getting a Cinnabon before a flight was basically a sacred tradition for me. So the fact that Auntie Anne's can successfully lure me away from my Cinnabon desires says a lot. Delicious, reasonably priced, fast, and an excellent train snack. At this point, a pretzel and fountain soda from Auntie Anne's just feels like part of leaving Union Station. read more

This location is inside Union Station, down the corridor where Pret A Manager and Au Bon Pain sit. It's on the right side across from the Amtrak train terminals. I ordered a garlic and herb pretzel, which was not available in the display case, but the employee just grabbed a salted pretzel that was displayed and heavily tossed garlic seasoning on top, which avoided waiting for a freshly made pretzel. I splurged and also got the hot salsa cheese. Yes, this was my lunch and no I'm not ashamed! The taste was excellent! I look forward to more pretzel consumption! Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. No lines, and no issues scanning my app. Great staff, great product. read more

I thought I would pick up 4 pepperoni pretzels to take home as a treat for my family. I was the last person in line and willing to wait. I got to the front for 4 Pepperoni Pretzels to go to go. The Lady behind the counter says, "I never make 4". I am looking at her like " Why not?" Especially when I am willing to pay for them. It is clearly on the menu above my head. She did not say anything else. I told her have a nice day. Put my money back in my purse, went up the escalator, got in my car and went home. Didn't even take pictures which almost never happens/ ask my Family). Maybe she had a bad day. It happens. But, and it's a big one, there are too many businesses out here that are willing to give good service. I don't have time for the Debbie Downers, the Negative Nelly's Or the Sourpuss Sallie's. I was a bit hungry when I got off the train, so I looked around for some snack-y food. I found Auntie Anne's and had a raisin pretzel with glaze. The glaze is $1 extra, boo! I remember in the old days when it came along with the raisin pretzel and it was my favorite. Anyway, pretzel was quite delicious and chewy, and the glaze was sweet but paired well with the raisin pretzel. It was really pricey though at $5.59 total post-tax. read more

When I go to Auntie Anne's, I usually get the Cinnamon Sugar pretzel (can't go wrong with this sweet treat). But at my latest visit, I was in a savory mood and something possessed me to try the Roasted Garlic Parmesan pretzel instead. I'm gonna stick with the Cinnamon Sugar from now on. The Roasted Garlic Parmesan pretzel was soggy after being saturated in butter and most of the Garlic Parmesan topping fell off so there wasn't a lot of flavor other than the chewy butter bomb. No issues with service. read more

There are actually TWO Auntie Anne's inside Union Station. (1) One booth in the downstairs food court and (2) a fuller storefront - where it looks like they cook the pretzels - in the Amtrak train concourse area just across from the A gates/MARC trains. The train concourse storefront has never failed me in terms of quick and fast service, and friendly as well. However, I can't say the same for the food court location, which seems to continuously disappoint/frustrate me, and often has older tasting pretzels. If you're in a rush for a delicious pretzel (or, my personal favorite, the cheese pretzel dog) avoid the food court booth and go straight to the train concourse storefront. read more

Yes, it's a chain, and so I could copy and paste this review into any of the Auntie Annie locations from which I've bought pretzels (and just well might, come to think of it!). Still, chain or no chain, they have some of the best soft pretzels out there. The pricing is reasonable, and the pretzels I've gotten have been fresh 99.9% of the time, with but one abberration. The one time I got a rubbery, not-fresh pretzel, they refunded my money and gave me a free fresh pretzel just out of the oven. Well worth your time and money. read more

It's all fun and games until your jeans don't fit anymore... Auntie Ann's...I thought all auntie Ann's are the same...but I was wrong... This place sells burnt/dry pretzels...pretty disappointing... You would think since they are located in union station...they would up there products bit more... I would take a pass from this particular auntie Ann and check out the other food stands in the area.... read more

This is my go to place at Union Station for something to eat on the commute home. This place participates in the Auntie Anne's reward perks which is great! It takes forever to amass points but I definitely go whenever I get a coupon or freebie. Cashier is usually friendly or to the point and the pretzels hot. I went out of my comfort zone and tried the garlic Parmesan today and please DO NOT get it. I usually stick to plain butter without salt or cinnamon sugar. I find the pretzels to be salty and I like the dips so which make them extra salty. I thought it would be garlic and pat Meade an baked onto it so I didn't specify without salt. What it is is that they'll default take an original salted pretzel and smother it in garlic seasoned Parmesan powder. The powder is an extra 59? 49? Cents and totally not worth it. My mouth is puckered by the saltiness of it. I couldn't taste the buttery flavor because all I could taste was salt and seasoning. Stick to the non powdered ones and you shouldn't go wrong! read more

Rude personnel. I can handle bad food before i handle bad service. We used to shop here regularly when ever we passed through Union Station. We will not shop here again. I vote with my wallet. read more

I am in pharmaceutical sales and had to host a marketing day that celebrated Pretzel Day. I decided to bring soft pretzels as the treat. I ordered via E-Z Cater and the process was seamless, easy enough that I was even able to change my order time at the last minute. The manager here was extremely pleasant calling me before and during the transaction. She met me at Union Station Metro entrance and gave me clear and concise directions to where I could meet her and promptly delivered my food. I am very pleased with the service and would do business here again. read more

Rude cashier, very rude. He hardly spoke English. I don't know if prices are higher at this location but I got a pretzel dog, regular pretzel and cinnamon sugar pretzel for $13 and some change! He then said I didn't pay for a lemonade! I tried to tell him I asked for the combo he brushed me off to help next customer! I was too upset to argue or ask for receipt because he obviously couldn't understand me. I will never go back to this location just from this experience. I had no choice but to give it one star read more

Auntie Anne's pretzels is always fantastic any time of day. I don't typically stop here, but I must say that I am quite a fan of their breakfast sandwiches. I've had it with bacon and sausage, and both were awesome. The pretzel bun is a nice touch & I'm pretty sure the egg is real. Definitely doesn't taste like an egg patty, but since they don't cook it right there, I can't be 100% sure. Regardless, I think the sandwiches are delicious & I'll definitely be having it again. read more

Unfortunately I don't have the option to give zero stars but this place deserves NO STARS. I was craving a sweet almond pretzel before taking the train home, and got in line here. When I got to the front of the line, I noticed there was one more sweet almond pretzel in the food warmer and asked for one. The cashier then picked up the last pretzel, threw it in the trash in front of my face, and informed me that if I wanted that flavor that I'd have to wait 15 minutes. I know Auntie Anne's is famous for having fresh pretzels all day, but if that one had been out for too long he could have thrown it away before someone asked for it. Since I wouldn't be able to make my train if I waited that long, I said 'no that's fine, may I just have an original pretzel then.' He then pulled out an original pretzel, took my card and swiped it a couple times. He asked if I had cash, and when I said no, he mumbled something and handed me my card back. I asked him what was wrong and he mumbled something about the machine, then threw the perfectly good pretzel that he just picked for me in the trash in front of my face and avoided eye contact with me. At that point I was confused and pissed off and just walked away, hoping that he hadn't charged my card after pulling that crap. I love Auntie Anne's pretzels, but I will never buy from this location due to the atrocious customer service from that cashier. read more

I come by this Auntie Anne's often before I go to work. I love Auntie Anne's, but one experience with their employees here really soured my opinion of the store. I ordered a small coffee, paid $2, and got back ~30 cents in change. Once I got the coffee, one of the employees rudely accused that I did not pay yet and to pay for it. We argued back and forth, because I definitely paid for the coffee. The cashier who took my money was so scared of this employee, she left without saying anything. The employee kept accusing that I didn't pay and threatened to check the cameras. I told her to go ahead. She took out her iphone and clicked on some stuff, pretending to check the "camera," and then claimed that I didn't pay. In the end, she told me that I get the "free" coffee that I paid for. Then she had the nerve to ask if I was coming tomorrow, and I told her no way! Not only she made me miss my train, but this employee was so rude to me. Most likely she realized her mistake and didn't want to admit it! Not to mention the cashier's unwillingness to even clear things up. There are so many restaurants at Union Station, Auntie Anne's employees should learn better customer service to continue to have customers. read more
