    yummy gluten free thing

This was such a stroke of good luck, to walk in here after our library program and get amazing pastries. They are expensive; it's DC and these are not standard donuts! Staff, too, is friendly and professional. My friend got a delicious pumpkin croissant and I got a gluten free ... thing that made me wish I could get my pastries there every day. Just having two gluten-free options was more than I could have hoped for, but to have two CHOCOLATE gluten-free options? Well, that was a miracle for me. And what I chose - whatever it was called - was delightful, glazed with chocolate and filled with creamy mousse. I can highly recommend stopping in here for a visit!

I'm so excited that Fresh Baguette has made CP its new home! (I've been to the Glover Park location, but happy to have one closer!) We really needed a good place to grab great delicious pastries and fresh baguettes in the neighborhood. Even though you may encounter a line, it moves quickly-- and is worth the wait! My almond croissant was light and fluffy and generous in size! You can take your items to go, or sit down at various tables. I'll be back to try out more of their items! I've got my eye on you, sandwiches!

The bakery was crowded and there wasn't a whole lot of sitting room available as it was a smaller place but the line moved very fast and efficiently and we managed to snag a spot at the windows and enjoyed the croissant with views of the street. The plain croissant from Fresh Baguette was so light, airy, and most importantly.. fresh! Definitely enjoyed this place for a weekend treat!

Excellent place to have a light sandwich packed with flavor. I ordered the Californian crogel and it was flakes and had great texture. The chicken was moist and flavorful especially with the bomb oregano spread... I subbed lettuce for the tomatoes since I don't prefer them on a sando unless I am in a mood. Haven't tried the pistachio dessert since I was full from the crogel and pineapple juice. Great spot for brunch... oh and my friends also loved their sandwiches. We ate the entire things lol

This place is clean and so is their food. The cleanliness of the staff shows at this location and the bagels were some of the best I've ever had. Not too thick or feeling heavy after eating. This place makes me want to move to the area.

New bakery in Cleveland Park. Good selection of breads and pastries but no cakes to my disappointment. Limited seating but tables by the front windows are quite nice.

I had the privilege to attend the Mock Service for this amazing new Fresh Baguette location before next week's grand opening. As soon as I entered, I was struck by the bright, modern, yet cozy space and received a warm welcome from the manager. The baguettes and loafs looked almost too perfect to eat, the pastries perfectly crafted, and the sandwiches scrumptious. They also offered a wide variety of espresso drinks which is, unfortunately, rare for the area. The prices are also reasonable at $5 - $12 dollars on average per item. I enjoyed a Norwegian Cro'gel (a smoked salmon sandwich with a bagel shaped croissant bread) and a caramel latte, and took home a sourdough loaf. So excited to see them opening next week! I'm sure I'll become a regular.

This place was lively for a Sunday afternoon! My husband and I came here for a quick bite before grocery shopping for Thanksgiving. The staff was lovely and quick and we were able to order and sit in the window while we ate. We split the Parisian and a ham/cheese croissant. The food was next level - really enjoyed both of them, fresh and delicious. The coffee was fine, nothing to write home about, but that's to be expected when going to a place called Fresh Baguette- the food should be better than the coffee!

    Raspberry croissant

Fresh Baguette serves up an beautifully amazing menu of pastries. We tried the chocolate and raspberry croissants, chocolate eclair, and the quiche. Not only is presentation excellent, but the service was top notch. This is a "do not miss" on your way to the White House! In fact, it's so good you might see the secret police indulging.

I've been coming since opening day to this location and it's never disappointed me. Foods always delicious. Service is wonderful. Location is perfect. So glad they came to Cleveland Park.

There is a vast sweets menu. 12 cobbler flavors and banana puddings options along with biscuits and cinnamon rolls. It's a relaxed vibe with r&b music going. There is also ice cream. It's standard vanilla with toppings. I got Nutella and wife got butterfinger. It's hand scooped ice cream. And the toppings are generous. Service is ok. You don't get service with a smile. A short jaunt the hotel and squarely in downtown, it's an all things cobbler themed spot. Kids got Mac and cheese with meat, plus a mini cobbler, and my better half and I shared a "biscuit cobbler" - which was effectively a delicious biscuit over top a thick soup. It was solidly in the pretty good category. A little cold in the middle but it filled me up. The biscuits were excellent - like Bojangles good (Biscuit connoisseurs will feel that!). The Mac and cheese was good and the cobblers were solid. The mini cobbler was like $2 and came as part of a combo. Get that - enough to get a good taste, but not massive. The banana pudding (the bourbon walnut specifically) was the show stopper for me. I'm sure it's gonna box, but it was really good! The woman helping us was very nice and got us served and fed quickly. Not an every day spot, but an, I'm walking by and feeling like dessert at 2 pm sort of spot for sure!

They are open until 1 PM on Saturdays, we reached at around 11:30 AM and I was half hoping for them to be out of most items. Fortunately, even though they were super packed, we were able to find all of the items we were looking for - thanks to the hard working staff as they continue to make their pastries until closing - unlike so many other bakeries these days that make a certain amount and call it a day! Now to the food, everything we had was absolutely phenomenal! I am not a donut person but I loved theirs as they were very flavorful and weren't too sweet. I definitely prefer their Ube and Pandan over the Black sesame donut. The Matcha chocolate croissant and the Ube Kouign Amann were my favorites of the bunch! I cannot recommend them enough, this will surely be my first stop every time I am in DC!

The space is a pretty cute, modern café with cherry blossom décor and a great mix of sweet and savory pastries. We honestly tried almost everything Garlic Scallion Bun - Soft, lightly toasted with just the right crunch. Inspired by a Taiwanese garlic bun, it was super easy to eat and one of my favorites (9/10). Matcha Chocolate Twice-Baked Croissant - A rectangular croissant absolutely loaded with matcha and chocolate, topped with matcha powder. It was almost a bit too heavy on the matcha for me, and the bitterness overpowered the chocolate. Banana Chocolate Twice-Baked Croissant - Banana cream on top with banana chocolate inside. Pretty straightforward--tasted exactly like what you'd expect from a banana chocolate croissant. Ube Cheese Kouign Amann - Unique sweet-and-savory combo. The ube adds a subtle sweetness while the cheese gives it a creamy balance. Rich and slightly dense, and I just wished there was a bit more filling to balance the pastry. Miso Garlic Salted Bread - One of my top picks. Savory, buttery, and paired with a slightly sweet brioche-like base that balances everything really well. Elote Bread - Corn-topped savory bread with a nice sweetness and texture. This and the miso garlic bread were tied for my favorites. Strawberry Passionfruit Kouign Amann - Fruity and rich, but a bit filling overall. I just wished there was more filling to balance the pastry. Sugared Donut - Simple and classic, just a soft, sugary donut done right. Drinks: * Strawberry Matcha & Mango Matcha - Both layer fruit puree with matcha, but the flavors stay quite separate rather than blending together. * Vietnamese Coffee with Cold Foam - Strong coffee base with strawberry-flavored cold foam. It's pretty sweet overall with less of a coffee-forward taste, but still smooth and enjoyable. * White Mocha Latte - More coffee-forward compared to the sweeter drinks, which I actually preferred. Overall, I loved my visit--great spot for both savory and sweet pastries with creative flavor combinations and a lot to try. I definitely preferred the savory items over sweet here particularly the garlic scallion bun!

When I stopped by, it was raining heavy, but the walk from the metro was totally worth it. I stepped inside, heard some great R&B jams playing, and I made my way to work that amazing smell was coming from. Along the way, I passed some cute merch -- insulated bags and more. And then there was a freezer with all of their pints, ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream cakes. I got up to where the scoops are being served, and there was a very helpful sign next to it with all of the descriptions. I appreciate it the thorough breakdown of what has allergens, what has dairy, and what is vegan. I pretty much tried everything. My favorites were the vegan ones (spiced peanut crunch, tamarind spice), the spiced date cake, saffron pistachio, mangos & cream, black forest... I could keep going. I split a generous scoop of the spiced date cake & saffron pistachio and it was divine. I could've gotten some cool toppings too, but decided not to. It was $8 as is XD. It's definitely a splurge, but a unique flavor profile like this I think it's totally worth it. The pints are $12, which also isn't bad for something this unique imo. I'll be back to get some pints. I was so excited, in fact, that I waited in line on opening day. While the flavors were indeed exciting, I found the flavor to be muted. I've been a few times since opening, and I think it's fine, but it doesn't live up to expectations. I've found the soft serve to be better than the hard ice cream, but it almost has too creamy of a texture. The yogurt soft serve flavor with cardamom was the best thing I've tasted there. We had the duck prosciutto as an appetizer, which was a special. It was delicious with the cooked duck taste, alongside the toast with very vibrant jam. My vongole pasta was good too; I do like pasta more on the firmer side, which it was. It tasted great with the calm, garlic, and olive oil - simple, yet tasty. The presentation was beautiful - sliced and then arranged back together like the chef was Michelangelo himself. The small amount of juice around the chicken was excellent - butter and salt and rosemary and a veritable symphony of umami flavors! Divine!
