    Horchata Matcha Latte

Stopped here for the horchata matcha after I heard it was something to write home about. I did enjoy it and thought the service was fast and they were very kind, despite how busy they were.

I made an order for delivery on their website and it was quick and easy. The order was packaged nicely and traveled well. I got an iced coffee, half a dozen bagels, a sandwich, and egg salad. The egg salad has a really good flavor and large enough to last several days. I appreciate the drizzle of honey on the bacon sun city sandwich and will definitely order again.

Went for Sunday breakfast after learning they have gluten free options! It's very packed with limited indoor seating. Ordering ahead online and enjoying at home is ideal for a weekend. The gluten free bagel was good, they seemed to understand allergies and cross contamination and I enjoyed mine! They have a bathroom, but you need to ask for a code, staff is friendly, but busy so it is a challenge to flag one down.

If you haven't already noticed I like bagel sandwiches. Call Your Mother Deli did not disappoint. Located on the corner of Eighth Street SE and G Street SE its vibrant colors stand at attention. With a few bar stools to sit inside they also have outdoor bench's to enjoy your meal. Service is quick and friendly but the coffee and bagel sandwiches are the main attraction. Definitely will return to try other options.

Is this the best bagel i've ever had? Yes...it definitely is. Several people have told me about this place and I kept forgetting to try it whenever I was in town. I consider myself a bagel connoisseur and have had them all across the country and this is probably my favorite one so far. I had the seasonal cheesy garlic bread bagel with plan shmear and it was actually unreal. It was soft but chewy and the flavor was out of this world. I will be thinking about this bagel forever. I also ordered an iced vanilla oat latte and it was delish (and cheap). Service was great-- not too much chitter chatter and awkward convo which some breakfast spots tend to do. The shop itself is also pretty cute but seating is limited in the inside. I went during the work day so it was fairly empty and comfortable inside. Absolutely obsessed with this place! Will be back every time I'm in D.C.

I am always on the hunt for the best bagel. I was stoked to hear about this place and got my usual. I had the maple salt and pepper bagel and it was pretty sweet, it would be great with meat I think. I got an egg and cheese and tomato and they even gave me a free cookie. You're joking. It was so wonderful and the staff is so charming. I went pretty close to close too so I really appreciate that. Not a ton of seating but in a nice location so not to worry. Will be going back.

I have passed by CYM so many times and I've always wanted to stop by. I finally had a chance to try and I'm so glad I did. I went on a Thursday around 10 am. The inside was small but decorated in pretty pink and turquoise. There was minimal seating inside but they did have seating available in the patio area. The music playlist was good too ("Dilemma" by Nelly and Kelly was playing while I waited). The customer service was great and the gentleman working the register was really friendly. I ordered the Thunderbird and a chocolate chip cookie. The Bagelwich had a lot of great flavor and was bigger than I expected. The cookies are made fresh daily and it was easily one of the best cookies I've ever. I would absolutely go back. I should probably mention that since it was off peak hours when I went, it was easy to find a parking spot but parking is usually not easy in that area from my experience.

Visited my brother during my layover in DC and this was our first stop. Vibrant and colorful shop with friendly staff! I got sun city breakfast sando with bacon. I really enjoyed it on the everything bagel and the hot honey complimented the bacon. I also think their prices are quite reasonable (especially compared to SF or NYC)

Amazing bagels! Very fresh and tastes just like the NJ/NYC bodega bacon, egg and cheese, which is the best! The only difference is that they add honey, which is tastes great. The place gets Very busy, but placed an order online and it was ready when I got there for pickup. Staff is nice, inside clean, and we will def be back.

Long line but definitely worth it. Tip: order ahead. It is a cute little deli with yummy bagels and drinks. The pb and j was good but I would have preferred a smooth peanut butter. It was very popular here and clear that many people love it.

All the stars! I flew into DC and Call Your Mother was my first stop and that was a great decision. It's super cute - love the color scheme, the Millennial cell phones as art, and the other decor. The workers were so friendly and happy. They went above and beyond with service. And the bagels were phenomenal. I had the Royal Palm for lunch it was a truly great salmon everything bagels - perfect ratio of cream cheese, salmon, and toppings, and it stayed together as I ate it. Just delicious. I ordered the Za'atar bagel with garlic-herb cream cheese to take my hotel for tomorrow morning and I'm excited to try it.

The moon river was delicious! We substituted for a cheddar bagel and wow it was delicious! The service was great super friendly. The ambiance was so cute i loved all the pink decor!

Today was my 2nd visit to this location (2x in 1 week). Usually, I go to their GA Ave location but I appreciate not having to wait in a long at this Barracks Row location. My go-to is The Royal Palm. It is consistenly good! The bagel has great consistency and taste...they do bagels very well. I always order ahead on their website and I appreciate that the service is quick and friendly. I was reading a great review about their chai latte so I splurged for that today and opted for the oatmilk (+$1). Their colors are cute and today the music was excellent when I picked up my order. This morning, it appeared that they were preparing a large order but they still did so with quick and friendly service. Seems like they found all of the great service employees that DC has to offer (bc I've never had a bad experience, across multiple locations). I'll be back again!

But, that's very preferential to my palate... the roast they serve from small planes is beautiful. The espresso beans are single origin and they serve a blend for their drip coffee. But the gem of this coffee shop is the baked goods! It is absolutely the most delicious and well made bread I've ever had in a coffee shop. I feel like they should be a bakery that serves coffee on the side. Their mushroom toast is out of this world! Like the best thing I've had in a long time. Their sourdough and multigrain bread is the foundation and the most beautiful one at that. The sauce is magnificent. Their croissant is as close to magic as you can get... I just wish I had come in time to have it warm. Their avocado toast is served with fresh piles of beautiful avocado. But again, the multigrain bread is the star! Their Pain Suisse... magic in a pastry... chocolate and pistachio wrapped in flaky croissant! beautiful and delicate... it's a must get!

Here's what's going for them. 1) Food & Drink: Every pastry they make is worth the money and calories, especially their pain suisse. (It's the best I've ever had.) You can go savory with their quiche or ham and cheese croissant or go sweet with monkey bread, basque cheesecake, and more. To drink, they have a full coffee menu and free water in a jug at the condiment counter. 2) Service: Despite busyness, their staff often are patient, calm, and efficient. 3) Space: It's much larger than their original location with several long tables, small tables, window seats, and more. Total came out to approximately $55. What's hot - Menu. Good variety and there appears to be something for everyone, even possibly vegans. There are sweet and savory options, eggs, french toast, salads, sandwiches, etc... - Quality. Excellent! All 3 of us really enjoyed the food that we ordered. Their french toast and omelettes are delicious. My husband particularly liked the maple syrup that was served with his french toast, because the maple flavor tasted a bit stronger than your average maple syrup. Their pastries are also delicious! Soft, good texture and not too sweet. Given the softness, my best guess is that their sweet treats are recently made. - Service. Pretty good. We did not wait very long for our orders to be ready. The hot foods, like the omelettes, french toast, and drinks, appear to be freshly made. - Price. Good value for money, given the quality and portions. - Location. Convenient location in D.C. However, given the location, be prepared for it to get busy quickly, which means decent lines and wait times. What's not - Interior space. Very tight squeeze inside. There are tables and chairs inside, but their biggest tables can only fit 4 people. If you have children with a stroller or whatever, be prepared to not have room inside. They have outside seating, but that's only conducive to when the weather is warm. This place appears to be popular, which means it can get packed very quickly and seating can be difficult to find. - Acoustics. They play relatively loud music inside, which makes it difficult to have conversations with those you're with. That the interior is small, the music travels easily, which does not help. - Omelette. Even though I liked the flavor of my omelette, it was rather thin. I prefer my omelette to be more weighty/fluffy in texture. Additionally, cheese is not automatically included with the omelette. I ordered mushrooms, red peppers, spinach, and bacon in my omelette. I mistakenly believed cheese was automatically included, but I was wrong. - Parking. Is not easy to find given the location. There is street parking, but it's very difficult to come by. Final Answer Would like to come back, but probably not a first choice given the tight squeeze of the interior. If I do return, would more likely than not order takeaway.
