Looking for something different for breakfast on my to work I noticed this place one day. I finally had a moment to stop in and grab a breakfast sandwich. Being located in Union Station allows you to grab a sandwich and keep moving towards your final destination. On that note, it can be quite busy depending on the time of day. I took a moment to look over the menu and it allowed me to observe how to place an order. Once my order was placed, I just stood around and waited. Being that the shop does not have any seating, you will definitely have to take the sandwich to go or take it to the food court area to enjoy in Union Station. My order finally ready, I headed toward the office. I had ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. The good thing is that it is made to order, so it is hot when you receive it. I could not wait to bite into it when I finally got settled. The first bite was almost perfect, except it felt like the toasted the bagel a little too long. There was this bit of acrid taste to it. Like one part of the everything on the bagel got a little too much toastiness. It wasn't overpowering, just threw me off a bit. The sandwich as a whole was filling and the taste of it was quite on point. Definitely, a breakfast sandwich that can compete with any deli or cafe nearby. read more

We stopped by Bullfrog Bagels inside Union Station in Washington, DC during the morning rush, and it was a great experience. It's a cute little location, and even with a busy crowd, our order was taken right away. We only waited a couple of minutes for our to-go order, which was impressive. We ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese, and it was absolutely amazing. The bagel was generously stuffed with cream cheese, just the way we like it, and the quality of the food really stood out. The employee taking orders was quick and attentive, making the whole experience smooth from start to finish. Ordered two bagels, a coffee and bottle of water online this morning for a 9:35 am pickup time. At 9:34 am, I got a text that the order was ready. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was impressed! The bagels were very good. I got an onion bagel with hummus and the hummus was creamy and delicious. The coffee was hot and tasted good. The prices might be slightly higher if you order online. There's a note on the website mentioning that, but I honestly didn't take a look at the menu board when I picked up my order. read more

D.C. isn't known for its bagels. NYC will always take the cake. However, Bullfrog Bagels is a decent bagel in D.C. Born on Capitol Hill, they now have a location inside Union Station. Open early, they sell toasted bagels with different sweet and savory spreads. They also have bagel sandwiches. I always get the toasted sesame bagel with honey walnut cream cheese or the sesame bagel with pastrami, egg, and cheese. They also sell drip coffee. read more

Got Too Good To Go from here 5 mins before closing, was given 7 plain and 6 sesame bagels. Pretty chewy, nothing special, bagels are quite small. A great deal for sure from Too Good To Go! read more

We got a sausage, egg and cheese bagel sandwich to share for the train ride. We ordered it on an asiago bagel, our receipt said an everything bagel, but actually it was on a rolled oat bagel. Stopped at Bullfrog Bagels in Union station. The place was busy but the staff quickly doubled the cashiers and everyone was able to order. It's not set up to eat in, it's really a grab and go. The place was light and airy. I was a bit concerned with all the orders (in person and online) that I might miss my connection. But I got my bagel and ran down the to the gate. Once in our seats I handed off half my bagel to my partner. After one bite they said: "This would have been worth missing the bus!" Yesterday, at Bullfrog Bagels, was one of those times. I got off the 4 hour train from New York, hungrier for a bagel than Zion for some Fish Gumbo. I stopped at Bullfrog before leaving the station, and ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Avocado sandwich ($12). I went and sat at an open table outside of Shake Shack to dig in. When I opened my bagel, I literally laughed out loud in disbelief. As I peeled back the red and white checkered wrapping, I saw maybe 1 piece of bacon, half an egg, and a thin layer of avocado spread over a small, unappetizing bagel. It looked like one of those bagels you can buy in bulk at a Walmart. I'm fine with mid food, but when it's expensive and a mouse sized portion, I get sad. I feel like I just got ripped off. I understand this is truly my fault for getting a bagel without doing any research, but some times I just like to live life by feel. I just like to sail with the wind. I wanted to grab a bagel before I boarded Amtrak to NYC so I ordered the egg and cheese on a toasted sesame bagel. I hadn't heard about this place but it seemed like a popular spot so decided to give it a try. I had a good experience and would return for another bagel in the future when I'm passing through Union Station. I thought that the taste was delicious and flavorful. Bullfrog Bagels Cafe just opened February 1, 2025 at Washington Union Station. Customer Service was very good and helpful! They all were super nice l! Everything was bright and pretty; you couldn't help but to stop by and check it out! I ordered the Tuna melt w/ Chips on the side... Tuna was a little bland but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix! I also added lettuce. What's a sandwich w/o lettuce? I do recommend have more Turkey products for breakfast menu. The service was quick, but the bagels were tough, flavorless, and overpriced. I tasted no cinnamon in the cinnamon-raisin bagel. The music was too loud for an early morning stop. I could barely hear myself speaking when placing my order with the cashier. The cashier seemed indifferent when I told her the music was very loud. Fantastic bagels with a great variety bagels and fillings - from pastrami to your typical bacon, egg, and cheese. I typically get the sausage, egg, and cheese which comes with very flavorful sausage links split in half instead of a patty, which I really like. The service is always friendly and quick and the space is pretty efficient and clean. Check them out next time you're on your way to catch a train or bus. read more

While visiting DC, we hopped on a train on Sunday morning to head to Philadelphia and on the way out, we popped into bullfrog bagels Café to grab some breakfast and coffee on the way out. We grabbed the salted bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and a regular dip, coffee and all of it was delicious. The salted bagel was perfect... It was nice and chewy and had a very good bagel texture and the cream cheese was delicious and not too overpowering with the smoked salmon. This was a surprise find waiting for our train to arrive. We both got the lox bagels on onion. They were great. The one star ding is for not enough lox. I am torn because the cost was not much so is it fair to ding them a star? I've just had a lot if these and this was just less. The place was packed and it took a while to make. No big deal. This was looking forward to this Bullfrog Bagels opening in Union Station, and my first visit did not disappoint. I got a sesame bagel with smoked salmon cream cheese. The bagel was decently sized and the cream cheese portion was pretty generous. This is one of the better bagels that I've had in the DC area--a bit solid on the outside and very soft on the inside. Worth a shot if you want something fast at Union Station that isn't fast food or a chain restaurant. read more

I've been to Bullfrog 3 times since it opened here in Union Station. Their $5 bagel and cream cheese is good but they are skimpy on the cream cheese. The bagel shouldn't be dry and void of cream cheese when I take a bite. So this morning I ordered the bagel heavy on the cream cheese. I was told that would be a $1 upcharge. It's not the end of the world but honestly I just really wanted an adequate amount of cream cheese which I have yet to receive from my prior 2 orders. Bullfrog was very convenient- literally right across from the Amtrak lounge and boarding area. The staff was very nice and the bagel came out quicker than I had expected. I ordered an egg cheese and avocado on everything. First this being 10.87 was a little ode ngl. However given the location whatever. My egg was so overcooked it had the consistency of a hard-boiled egg. Even with the everything bagel seasoning it had very little flavor. Quite disappointed for a first try :/ read more
