A bagel with a topping of cream cheese and shredded cheese, partially eaten, rests on checkered paper. The bagel has a sesame seed topping and a chewy texture. A black utensil is placed on the bagel, and the scene appears to be in a casual dining setting, possibly at a bakery or cafe.

Really cute space. Bagel was reasonably priced. The jalapeño cream cheese was so tasty and from the pics , legit pieces of jalapeños and shredded cheese. Bagel is a good flavor too. Service was quick and employees friendly.

A wall displays signage for Pop's Bakery, featuring a cartoon illustration of a man with gray hair, sunglasses, and a beard, crossing his arms. Above him is a stylized fried egg with lines indicating light. Below, the bakery's name, 'POP'S BAKERY,' is written in bold black letters. Additional logos include a colorful cartoon of a fried egg with the text 'POP'S BAGELS' and the tagline 'MAKE YOUR DAY POP'S,' as well as a caricature of a man in a hat with the text 'POPPY'S STUFFED BAGEL HOLES.' The setting appears to be indoors, with pink chairs and a yellow table partially visible in the foreground.

Not only is this bagel spot amazing, but the locations couldn't be better- right across from the rock climbing gym! In currently going on four sundays in a row of bagel sandwiches and don't know if I'll ever stop. The bagels themselves are spectacular but the toppings make it all the better. Whether you're just looking for a bagel & schmear or a full on loaded sandwich, this is the spot for you. The location is perfectly minimalist to let you just appreciate the bagels.

The image shows staff in pink shirts and blue caps working behind the counter at Pop's Bakery, a bagel shop. Shelves on the left display various bagel flavors and merchandise, including T-shirts. The counter has bowls, cups, and a pink trash bin. The background reveals an industrial-style ceiling with exposed ductwork and additional kitchen equipment. The scene captures the bakery's interior and staff preparing food.

It's not New York City, but D.C. has some good bagel spots- Bagels, Etc, Pearl's Bagels, and Call Your Mother. Because of that, I walked into Pop's Bakery skeptical and walked out a fan. First of all, the smell attracts you inside to a space where you can watch them make their bagels. There's a menu above the counter with just four bagel options (plain, everything, poppy, and sesame) but lots of schmears from sweet to savory. My seven-year-old daughter got a plain bagel with plain cream cheese. I got the sesame with brown sugar cinnamon sour cream. The texture of both bagels was spot on-chewy and tasty. The schmears were excellent. I get why, but they put lots of schmear on the bagel. My daughter removed about half of it. They also sell coffee, drinks, chips, etc. Wait time was around 15 minutes on a busy Saturday around noon.

Bagels made fresh - A tall metal rack contains several trays of freshly baked bagels, including sesame and poppy seed types, in a bakery or cafe setting. The bagels are arranged in rows on baking trays, with some showing a shiny, golden-brown crust. The background includes bakery equipment and supplies, indicating an active commercial kitchen or bakery space.

I've been walking by here for a while, and the smells coming from the bakery always smell so good. The bagels are made fresh and it definitely shows. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and it was amazing! The bagel was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It he bacon could've been a tad crispier but despite that it was a perfect sandwich!

My White Fish Salad of perfection

Loved it like I had a ball so today I had to make a difficult decision cause no more smoked salmon candy spread my favorite but thanks to Estelle I had the White Fish Salad so my new favorite

The sandwich is partially wrapped in checkered paper, with a blurred background showing a wooden table and people standing nearby.

Promising options but our bagels were flavorless and falling apart. Super disappointed, wouldn't recommend.

Here's the latest and greatest vendor list from 2023: Timber Pizza - Scrumptious wood-fired pizza with a pillowy soft crust. I can't count on how many fingers and toes I've had the pizza at different farmer's markets! While the lines can get long 12:30pm, you only have to wait for 15 minutes. Taco Dirty To Me: Crispy battered cauliflower tempura tacos, bursting with flavor! Bun'd' Up - Delicious fried tofu and mushroom in squishy soft bao buns topped with microgreens, scallions, and a nice creamy aioli sauce. Light and tasty! Urban+ade - Refreshing lemonade with less sugar than classic lemonade. The Sage & Tarragon is my favorite! Veg Heaven - Decadent sweet treats, the dark chocolate cookies and brownies are the best! While the cakes are moist, they aren't as tasty. Taco Loco - Giant burritos are amazing! There's a swarm of people waiting in line, so be prepared to wait 10-15 min before ordering and then another 5 min for your order! The mango and watermelon juice are refreshing. Hipp Sippin' - Cold-pressed juices and acai bowls made to order. Ravenhook Bakery - Great selection of freshly baked loaves of bread and baked goods. DMV Empanadas - They sell out fast! While the empanadas has a nice crispy hard shell and with so many flavors to choose from, they are a bit bland and overloaded with bland cheese. There is metered street parking and commercial lots/garages within a reasonable walking distance from here. They serve wraps, salads, and cold and hot sandwiches. I ordered the Korean Steak Sandwich. It took them about 10 to 15 minutes to prepare my sandwich. They should use a number system for order pickups because people, including myself, had difficulty determining which order they were serving. Many of the sandwich names sounded alike. My sandwich was kind of small for the price, and it wasn't very filling. It was, however, very good. It was flavorful and packed with flavor. The service was ok. It was nothing special. They did their job and did not go beyond or be overly friendly. All in all, I would recommend checking this deli out for some really good sandwiches. They really do live up to their name, the Best Sandwich Place.

If you're hungry and near by, sure go get it but don't make any special trips just for this wrap. Id love to try their other options on the menu at some point!

I visited as part of the full experience -- dinner downstairs at Birch & Barley, then up to Churchkey for drinks -- and honestly, it's one of the best evenings I've had in DC. Churchkey itself is everything a great bar should be. The beer selection is absolutely unreal -- hundreds of carefully curated labels spanning every style, region, and flavor profile you can imagine. What sets it apart is that the staff actually knows the menu. Our server walked us through a few options based on what we liked and landed us on perfect picks both times. That kind of genuine expertise is rare. The tavern pizzas from the wood-fired oven were a wonderful surprise -- thin, crispy, and the perfect companion to a cold draft. The smash burger also deserves a mention: simple, well-executed, and hits the spot. The vibe is warm and lively without being overwhelming. Great for a date, a group, or even just sitting at the bar solo with a good beer and good conversation with the bartender. This place has earned its reputation as one of the best beer bars on the East Coast -- and then some. Highly recommend making a full night of it with both floors. You won't regret it.
