Taqueria Los Amigos - Hawaiian fajitas

The menu had plenty of options to choose from. I went with the la bandera and was not disappointed. Everything was delicious! The chips and salsa were addictive to say the least.

Taqueria Los Amigos is located in the main historic downtown area of Geneva right around the corner…read morefrom the Finger Lakes Welcome Center. Prices are fairly reasonable and they have a lunch menu which allows for a budget friendly, smaller portioned mid-day meal. Interiors are festive and ambiance was nice, but they haven't done a great job with upkeep as paint on the walls was chipped away in places and some of the dishes had minor chips around the edges. Meals start off with complimentary chips and salsa, which hit the spot for something to munch on as we were hungry driving up the length of Seneca Lake from Watkins Glen. To start off, we ordered the nachos with cheese (3.5/5) which had a great blend of cheese without that overly strong cheesy flavor. For meals, we got the vegetarian plate, a chicken chimichanga, and a side chicken quesadilla. Portion sizes of each of these were huge and perfect for sharing. The vegetarian plate (4/5) consisted of an enchilada, a tostada with salad, and rice. The chicken chimichanga (4.5/5) came with 2 mini chimichangas, a side salad, rice, and beans. The chicken quesadilla (4/5) was a generous portion of shredded chicken in a really delicious tasting corn tortilla which was very flavorful. Overall, everything was well above average in taste and did a great job in filling us up for a late lunch. Service (3.5/5) was warm and friendly for the most part, but it did take a while for the waitress to come over to take our order for meals after initially getting our drinks and appetizers. While it wasn't a big deal to us, we were overcharged by a dollar on the chicken quesadilla over what was listed on the menu price (it was such a generous portion and worth the price, so we didn't mention anything). Overall, Taqueria Los Amigos is a solid option for a Mexican meal in downtown Geneva.

Could be all the wine in me talking (though I don't think so from the way everyone was chowing down), but this was some Grade A BBQ! Pulled pork was laced with sauce - sweet, sticky, not the least bit dry... the spare ribs were so tender, Smokey and flavorful and honestly not a whole lot of fat... and the brisket, well it melted in your mouth. Honestly - just way too good! Drinks. Food. Service. Company - 10 for 10!

Let me get to the details: Service: staffs were not attentive, friendly, nor helpful. The restaurant was busy when we came so we decided to seat outside. However, their outdoor tables were wobbly. Also, there were no bugs control devices nor heating lamps to accommodate us. When we asked to move inside, their response was we have to talk to the host and the hostess told us it is not possible because they were "too busy".... Yet we would see an empty table where they rather seat 2 people that come after us instead of us. On top of all that, our sever never came to refill our water. For service, this place is a zero star for me. Food: we ordered their famous heavy plate. The food size was loaded for the price, everything tastes fine but nothing was exceptional. Giving them some stars for the decent food. Atmosphere: inside has lots of booth style seatings and bar seatings. They can accomplish large parties. Outdoor seating is not great as their tables were cheap and they're seating on a slope. There were no heat lamps or bug controls so I don't recommend eating outside in the evening here. Overall: honestly, we felt ignored at this restaurant. I wouldn't come back here since they're not very accommodating or nice. Highly recommend management to train their staffs better.

PRIORITIZES DRIVE-THRU OVER ALREADY-PAID CUSTOMERS…read more With the opening of the newest attraction in Newark, Taco Bell Newark was completely unprepared for the influx of business they would receive. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I rolled into the parking lot, seeing the drive-thru line and nearly getting hit by several other patrons, I decided to park and go in. I was hoping to get my order in sooner than the long line waiting outside; meaning I would get my food sooner. I ordered within 5 minutes of walking in via the Kiosk. It never printed a receipt. I was worried about that. After waiting 20 minutes, I noticed some of the cars that had almost hit me while pulling into the drive-thru line were now gone. I went up to the desk and was told they 'were busy and would get to my order soon'... Another 20 minutes went by and more drive-thru customers were serviced while the people waiting in the dining room were completely ignored. After 45 minutes of waiting, I went up to the counter again, almost wanting a refund but had no receipt. They gave me my order within 5 minutes and I left very unhappy. The restaurant should NOT prioritize the drive-thru - customers who haven't actually paid for their order yet - until they get to the window - over the customers who ordered and paid in the same instance. I do not recommend this location until they can officially get their act together and stop ignoring customers.

The salad portion of my meal was excellent, I would have preferred the chicken to be a little less crispy as it took away from the flavor of the chicken. No one else sat at the communal talk with us. We enjoyed being able to see into the kitchen at this table. We ordered the calamari, a burger and a crab cake sandwich. Delicious! The burger was perfect. The crab cake was good, but not in my top 5 crab cakes I've ever eaten. The calamari was yummy. The service was impeccable. Would have tried a dessert, but the servings were so ample, there was no room. My husband got the tap and spirit duo and he liked the cider so much he got another cider. I liked that the noise level was not too loud. You can have a normal conversation. Ambiance is really wonderful. Glad we stopped in.
