Visited for a margarita and burritos. As we've already taken pictures of past burritos just took pics of my son's surf and turf meal. One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in Canandaigua. We will continue to go back.

Everyone enjoyed their food here and overall, I was surprised at how much I liked this spot in Canandaigua. I had the Chile relleno. It came out soupy because the cheese leaked out into the beans which I've never experienced before but the cheese and beans were really good so no complaints there. It was really hard to eat with a fork though. The skin on the poblano was too tough. The vegetables enchiladas were also apparently good but the tortilla was a bit hard and there wasn't any sauce on top so it was different from a normal enchilada. The grilled chicken dish was also quite good. The chicken was Smokey and cooked well. Everyone enjoyed the rest of their food and it was portioned good and not too much. The burrito was really big though. Service was quick and overall really liked this place.

Excellent spot for taco Tuesday! We have visited several times over the years and been satisfied every time. I love having fresh chips and salsa delivered to the table upon arriving. My husband and I each got our own personal salsa bowl which was great because I like to add plenty of extra spicy sauce and he enjoys chipotle seasonings. The drinks are refreshing and full of flavor. I really enjoy the Jalapeño Fresh Margarita and this time I tried a Vallarta Margarita which was quite sweet. The AL PASTOR STREET TACOS were a perfect portion for me. The edible taco shell bowl for the refined beans is a nice touch. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the mole sauce on the ENCHILADAS. Reliable, hot, flavorful Mexican food when you just want to enjoy a taco.

We love tacos, so we thought we would give Laguna grande a try... It was an odd experience. The restaurant seem to be staffed only by high school aged kids weren't exactly sure what they were doing. There was a wait for a table so we asked if we could get a drink at the bar while we waited and they seemed unsure of how we could do that and then go sit at a table. In the end we opted just to eat our meal at the bar. We each ordered tacos. My partners came on the smallest corn tortillas I've ever seen. The flavors were decent, but not much filling. Minimal ambience at best

Whenever I'm in Canandaigua I have to stop by my favorite Mexican restaurant- Laguna Grande! Authentic Mexican food, free chips & salsa, full bar and nice staff - what's not to love. Located near CMAC there is plenty of parking. They also have an outdoor patio for dining. They offer plenty of seafood, chicken and steak options. The prices are very reasonable. Next time your in the Fingerlakes give this place a try- you won't regret it. Cheers!

A New Year's Eve to remember. While plans fell through, the staffs Hearts did not fall short. Mumzito knows the eyes are the windows to your soul, and it surely shows in this their food. The service was worth more than I could afford. The decor was infamous. Kevin Hart would eat his heart out for sho.

Stopped in Tuesday night for drinks & dinner. No wait. Sat at the large bar area. Promptly greeted by bartender with free chips & Salsa. 27 oz house margaritas good & not weak. The food was delicious & surprisingly prepared & served quickly. The bartender was very friendly & attentive. Will come back.

Man, I really wanted to like this place. The location is great, and I'm sure really great in the summer. Someone put a lot of love into the interior; not sure how much may have came with the place but regardless it looks nice inside. But unfortunately my partner and I both found ourselves not feeling well following our meal. The salsa was the best part of the meal. The food wasn't fresh by any means and lacked flavor as well. The drinks (margarita) were incredibly expensive and definitely was a cheap bar mix from a large bottle; it tasted like a glass of cleaning solution. The unsweetened iced tea was absolutely awful, literally every component of the meal was disappointing. I really hate giving one star reviews, so this one gets two; one for the service and one for the interior, but honestly the way we felt following our meal would lead me to not recommend this restaurant.

Having made reservations for 7:30pm, we arrived early and waited for our table to be ready. We made a note in our reservation for a booth on the fireplace side, and the woman (host) worked hard to make sure that happened. After sitting down, we placed in a couple appetizers. The bacon-wrapped scallops were delightful. The bacon, crispy and the scallops incredibly tender. Served with a side of drawn butter, but these were delicious on their own. As for the loaded potato puffs, we received a generous number of puffs, and each one was also very tasty. The sriracha ranch sour cream was the cherry on top. For mains, we opted in for the prime rib, and Delmonico "cowboy" cut. The prime rim was incredibly tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Served with a phenomenal au jus, this is the best prime rib I've ever had. I can confidently say that about the Delmonico steak as well. This 20 oz. center-cut, bone-in was grilled to the perfect requested medium-rare. Seasoned perfectly, tender and juicy. Although I didn't care much for the gorgonzola cheese sauce, the steak was amazing. We also ordered a side of lobster tail. This was also incredibly tender and really brought the meals together. To end all things, we ordered their creme brulee served in a chocolate shell. This was a great dessert, although I would have preferred the custard to be firmer, and less chocolate sauce overall. I found the generous amount of chocolate sauce on the bottom of the plate, and on top of the creme brulee, on top of the chocolate shell they're served in to be over the top. Nevertheless, we enjoyed this dessert. I want to point out, all the staff members including the owner was very kind and welcoming. From the initial host to our server Lauren, to her boss who came around to ask us how everything was, the staff are very hospitable. Add in a warm and cozy dining room area with a fireplace, this is easily a 10/10 experience for us. We will make it a point to revisit more often and not years in between.

For anyone interested in the prime rib, I highly recommend getting the 20oz (look at the picture!!) because this was massive and could easily feed two people, especially considering it comes with a side. My only regret is ordering my own meal (the Sheridan) and not splitting the prime rib with my BF. Luckily our leftovers made a great second meal. We also tried the garlic bread which was great, and I have to give a shoutout to the free bread that came at the beginning of our meal, because the sweet butter on the side was to die for. Also, love that our servers came to ask if we wanted more bread (we declined because we knew we ordered a ton of food). Finally, please get the raspberry margarita. This was the best raspberry margarita I've ever had. I wish I ordered this to start instead of the strawberry margarita, so that I could've had TWO raspberry margaritas instead of one raspberry and one strawberry. Can't wait to come back!

Steven and Megan are a proper fun duo behind the bar but their skills really stand out. My only negative is HOW EXPENSIVE the drinks are. We came as a larger group and they were nice enough for us to order from the breakfast menu as they switched over the lunch menu at 11:30am. Our table enjoyed the food but all agreed it wasn't worth the price point. I tried the chocolate croissant with homemade butter and maple bacon jam along with the Canadian bacon Benedict. The chocolate croissant was nice with the maple bacon jam but definitely not worth the price point of $12. The croissant was quite smaller, like the chocolate croissants you can get from Costco or Starbucks. The Canadian bacon eggs Benedict however was delicious and I really enjoyed it! I just am not sure again it was worth the high price point. However I definitely felt the service was missing. As we were the only ones in the dining area, I felt the service was missing the mark. The server saw we were carrying a baby in the restaurant but didn't ask if we wanted a high chair. My mother-in-law spied it in the corner and then we had to ask for it and we proceeded to set it up at the table. As I was with 2 young kids, I ordered some simple items before the main course like their chocolate croissant and fruit cup. I assumed the server would ask if we wanted those ahead of time but that didn't happen. He also had forgotten my son's drink order and which my son actually had to ask him after some time "where's my juice?" My older son had ordered the s'mores waffles and it looked good when it was delivered but as I cut some of it for me to try later on, I soon realized the batter was uncooked in the middle of most of them. I was thoroughly disappointed he had eaten some of it before I discovered it was uncooked. The server throughly apologized and they remade the order which in the end, we ended up taking home with us. They also didn't take the order off the check for us which normally that would happen. For such a classy restaurant, we would think they would know how to make waffles and for more top-notch service. I think next time we will just enjoy the nice views and choose to eat somewhere else when we are in the area.

After a ten-minute wait at this "fast food" site, I was out the door for the last time! My faith in the future was at least partially restored when I visited Charlie's. While waiting for my order - taken by a cheerful and engaged worker - I observed the workflow in the restaurant and was astounded by the level of effort and competence that I saw in that short period. Although everyone remained busy taking care of the counters and tables, cleaning, tidying up and refilling dispensers, I noticed one young lady who had clearly mastered the art of multi-tasking. While moving from one end of the counter to another to take care of customers, she grabbed a cloth and wiped down the counters on her way. During a few moments of available time, a broom appeared in her hand and the floor was swept clean. As I was observing, I attempted to identify a manager or supervisor and could not do that. That suggests to me that the culture at Charlie Reidel's has evolved to a point where these dedicated employees take ownership of and pride in their jobs. They don't need managers or supervisors standing over their shoulders to force the work to be done. Oh, the food was delicious too.
