We arrived post-swim, with a hunger and a thirst. The beer selection was vast, like a horror movie cave where a prehistoric monster awaits. We've visited this place several times on our bike runs. I can really only speak to the bar and atmosphere as we haven't eaten here. The location is great! Right across from Canandaigua Lake. We always sit outside in the patio area as the view is nice (and there is only the bar and a couple tables inside!) One thing I'll note, there are smoking and non smoking sections, however, management doesn't enforce it. People smoke in both sections outside. Personally, I don't care as I'm outside but it's just something to note. They have a good selection of beer and liquor. The wall behind the bar makes for interesting reading lol! If you're out and about on a nice sunny day stop in here for a quick drink. read more

Stopped in for a beer and within 10 minutes 2 punks came up to me and got in my face and one put his hands on me. The bouncer was right there and did nothing so I removed the guy from my face as anyone would do. The 'bouncer' then grabbed ahold of me and told me to leave but the guy who was harassing me could stay. Very unprofessional people work here. Seriously, just drinking a beer minding my own business and then that happens. Bouncers definitely need trained and educated. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER !!!! MY wife and I stopped in on:08/05/2018 @ 1:30 PM for cold drinks and full lunch. Staff inside were rude and never even acknowledged us for 15 minutes...[one bar maid and one waitress]. We finally just sat down and waited until bar maid reluctantly walked over and took our order. Took another 10 minutes to get 2 iced teas. We then placed our simple order and ended up waiting, waiting, waiting until 2:15 PM. When we asked where our order was the staff was annoyed and acted bothered. We continued waiting until 2:40 PM and simply left money at our table for our iced teas and left. TOTALLY RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and no it was NOT busy at all....perhaps 20 people [locals drinking at the bar and laughing and joking with staff while we waited. We will NEVER return. We are in our 20s and went here and felt a bit uncomfortable. Women's bathrooms are gross with only a curtain to separate stalls. Also, the margarita we had was terrible as well as not the nicest bartenders. I do have to say the chicken wings and pizza is delicious from here! read more

Bartenders don't know how to properly pour. Guessing their regulars are the ones who get served above other's. You order your food at the bar. We ordered 5 burgers and dozen wings...THATS IT! 45 freaking mins later, after 30 mins I went to the bar to question. She acted offended I would ask. The food was horrible, we only ate because we were starving. Supposedly the women's bathroom is closed off by a shower curtain. Like how much more could you set your place up, to make it be such a shit hole. Like even the dining furniture. Break open your wallet and fix the place. Maybe you should call John Taffer. Very much a dive bar. Had the garlic parm wings, which could've used more garlic. The ones at Dobber's were better, but these weren't bad by any means. I was in town for a couple days and had a wing craving. read more

I went here after spending the day on the lake and the wings I had were amazing! They had like 20 different kinds and the ones friends and i had were all good. The bartenders were super nice and friendly, make good drinks and will even joke around with you so it makes for a good time! I would definitely recommend checking out the lake and the area and stopping here to eat and have a drink too! read more

Some of the best wings in Canandaigua. The bartenders clearly notice if you don't look like someone who's likely to tip well, as I spent the night drinking the cheapest beers and almost felt like I was inconveniencing them when I waved for service. But a nice atmosphere! A fun dive-bar crowd. More of a middle-aged crowd than a college-aged one. Of course, the best thing Jose's has going for it is its location. Short walk to the pier and Kershaw, and the Main Street bars aren't so far away if it's warm out. read more

Just passing through town, trying to get off the beaten path of the interstate, when we discovered Jose & Willy's at the top of the lake, so we stopped for lunch. I am glad we did. We had one of the best hamburgers -- smothered with melted swiss cheese and loaded with any and all of the standard items that accompany a good hamburger (lettuce,tomato, onions, pickles, etc.) The onion rings were perfectly fried, crispy, hot and delicious. They had a good list of local craft beers -- they should -- this is a bar. ...and the bar is filled with witty signage about beer, and drinking and activities that happen when men do them. Flyers on the wall indicate they have live music a few nights a week. This place is not fancy -- it is clean with fairly priced food and pretty good service. read more

I use to love this place. Recently its been horrible !!! Today I ordered a $3 "pounder" special, which they were out of. So I paid $3.50 for a bottle. Ok... they don't take credit cards. The bartender pointed out the ATM. I tried to take out $100. it gave me $20, Still charged me the $2.50 fee. OK... the bartenders response was "ok..whatever". They didnt have half the things on the menu, which didnt matter, because I was ignored after ordering my first drink. I use to own a bar and respect how difficult the job can be... This is a great neighborhood bar .The drinks are pretty cheap and the food is prepared the old fashion way .i don't think they raised prices in 10 years ( $7.00 mushroom Swiss burger ? ) It has a million $$$ view of Canandaigua Lake across the street . read more

Only reason that I give them two stars is because they have karaoke and good food. Otherwise, the service is terrible and it's not worth your time. The bartender Jaime is also a real jerk and it takes a while to be served. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

Just moved into the area and was told that this was a nice neighborhood spot with good food. I wouldn't know?! Walked into the door at 5:15 on a Thursday night to get some wings and a cocktail. Not a chance. This has to be the first restaurant that I've ever seen that only has 3 high-top tables for their food service! No booths, no standard seating at all. Of those 3.... One had a single chair which was being used as a coat rack and the other two were occupied. Don't be fooled, this is a bar. Not any sort of restaurant at all. I have been to this place a few times but I have to say after my visit on Friday it may be my last. Their wings used to be amazing! The other day they tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in weeks! And the bartender wasn't the friendliest either. So while I use to like this place - I'm not so crazy about it any more.
