We stopped by The Henry without any lunch reservations and was seated outside right away! The ambience was great! It was packed and seemed like a very popular place! Definitely wear something cute if you come here because I went in gym clothes and felt a bit out of place haha We ordered a salad, and appetizer and a burger for the entree. The salad came first and we got a Heirloom Tomato & Grilled Halloumi. It was DELIGHTFUL. It left me wondering how I can possibly make such an amazing salad at home. The crunch was there were plenty of different vegetables in there including romanesco!!! The vegetables tasted fresh and I just loved the dressing. They also split the salad into two bowls for us because we wanted to share it! Next, we got the Spicy Tuna & Crispy Rice and this was very impressive. The crispy rice was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The spicy tuna was slightly spicy with and added spice with the red jalapeño on top. Definitely recommend getting this dish as an appetizer. Lastly we shared a hot honey crispy sandwich and they actually cut the burger in half for us to share! We had reservations Sunday for 6 at 12:45. We had to get to the airport so timed it accordingly. We were seated fairly quick. A larger table of 8 or 10 were seated afterwards behind us. At the 1 hour mark of waiting the larger table behind us was at least halfway through their meal. They combed our beverages, but we had to ask for all our food to go. We know the quality of food but having to eat chicken tortilla soup in the car was not ideal to say the least. We are so disappointed.It's gonna be hard to try and get back there soon. read more

I love this place. Now, it's important to note that the food here is delicious, but isn't like "knock your socks off"...I def have better recommendations for just food. But the environment here really is something. Don't know if I can put a finger on it, but it's a really great vibe for meetings, getting together with friends, or a date night... AND not only that, but they have an amazing coffee and work area over to the right side of the place. We enjoyed our dinner takeout from The Henry so much that we ordered again the following week, even though it's a longer drive than what we normally do. The Bolognese is fantastic! It has a multitude of flavors that come bursting out! The Braised Short Rib is exceptional, a true high-quality cut of meat perfectly cooked. The Roasted Chicken and Avocado Salad was very good. The Parmesan Truffle Fries are very good but we didn't get as many as we thought we should. I liked the Umami Brussels Sprouts while my wife favored the short rib pot stickers. TLDR; It's good, I would consider going back one more time on my own terms or if somebody else were paying Food - Everything we tried was delicious. My special favorites were the Umami Brussels & the Braised short ribs (the mashed potatoes alone were so amazing) Service - Our experience wasn't great, maybe it was a bad night but the chances of seeing our waitress was incredibly low. While our server was really nice & pleasant during the few interactions we had they rarely came by our table & we were sitting there for a while before our order was even taken. We actually finished our appetizers before they came to take our order for the main course & waited around even longer for the bill. The neighboring tables seemed to have the same issue as we overheard everyone making the same complaint so perhaps something happened behind the scenes. I'd consider returning one more time before I completely cross this off my list. While the food was delicious I don't think it's something that's worth sitting through not so great service. I really liked this restaurant. It came as a recommendation from a friend. The service was very attentive and quick. The food was prepared really well. The have a very good variety on the menu. I really enjoyed the tuna tartare on crispy rice, the shrimp cocktail sauces were both really good. I got the Korean skirt steak for my entree and it was really tasty and cooked perfectly. I did try the bread pudding. The sauce with the raisins was good but a little too sweet. I would've liked more pecans sprinkled on and less raisins to balance it a bit more. Maybe ask for the whiskey sauce on the side to regulate how sweet you want it? I ate outside and the weather was great. The service was also good outside and you didn't feel forgotten. Came up on this place on my visit to Phoenix. The parking lot was relatively busy but from the looks outside this restaurant is very inviting. The service here was excellent from the hostess to the waitresses and manager which was certainly a great indication of the experience that was ahead. It definitely had an industrial feel when you walk in with a small barista section to the right. The decor and feel of this place was just a great vibe. We were about to be seated outside and I felt let down as inside was charming in many ways but to my surprise outside just added another level and experience as it had its own feel to it that was great. The specialty cocktails were great to say the least and the crispy rice tuna was definitely my favorites as the rice was friend perfectly with a great texture as the tuna was bursting with flavor. 5 Stars is based off the brunch experience. If I had to rate dinner, it would be 4 Stars. They have great food taste-wise on both menus, but the brunch menu is just far superior in selection in my humble opinion. The service is always fabulous and the food is great. Tried this place for Restaurant Week and it will not be the last time I'm there! The setting and decor is beautiful and and welcoming. The service was attentive without being overbearing. I had the tortilla soup which was fantastic and the perfect portion. Then I tried the Korean Prime Skirt Steak which I was hesitant to try but so happy I did! The flavors complimented themselves and the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My friend had the roasted chicken, which he was less excited about saying it was a little dry and slightly over salted, but overall was ok. Then I finished with the peanut butter molten cake and the only sad part about it was that I was too full to finish it! We didn't have a reso, but managed to score some seats at the bar without waiting. The service was great. Let's start off with service. We sat at the bar... Amanda was the bar tender and I've been dining out for a long time, she was the experience. So knowledgeable, and encouraging us on what we wanted to order. She then paired cocktails for us! Not only that I asked her old she was and she's just 21. but Her passion and knowledge of food was of someone who has been in the industry for a LONG time and with a culinary background. One of the most amazing experiences I've had. The crispy ahi appetizer was 5/5, cocktail shrimp 5/5 and the seared ahi entree was 4/5 just because the ahi was so good and the accompaniments were a little over powering, still delicious... mouthwatering dish. I would love to come back and try more things... I will be calling and making sure Amanda is working and will sit at the bar every time for that 5 star service! The Henry is one of my absolute all time favorite restaurants, I just keep coming back. I am always impressed: the atmosphere, the service, the food, the drinks, the decor, the patio! Whether you sit inside or out, you're in for a country-club-style oasis, without the sky high prices. Everything seems very reasonably priced - my favorite menu item is actually the avocado toast. It is to die for, and I honestly get it delivered for breakfast from Doordash whenever I am in town, if I don't have time to stop by for dine-in. The parmesan truffle fries are also to die for. One time I made the mistake of missing breakfast/brunch (aka. no avo toast) so I "settled" on splitting the roasted chicken & avocado salad and it was SO good, I mean literally the best salad of my lifetime. I absolutely love the vibes of the Henry, everything from the blue exterior with the lit up arrow, to the coffee bar, to the open kitchen, to the comfortable booths, to the luxurious patio. The Henry does it all right! I've tried their cocktails and their coffee drinks - I love both. Even their iced tea is superior! This is a nice place and I've had a number of meetings here. The food is good and the menu changes seasonally. Unfortunately, they are generally crazy busy, which makes the place really loud. You'll be fine with a reservation, but I wouldn't attempt lunch or dinner without it. During breakfast the tables are open and you have to stand in line to order coffee and/or breakfast, and that line can be looooong. Basically, it's a nice place with good food and as long as you're prepared, you'll have a nice time. If I could wish for anything, it's to have had the opportunity to have gone to The Henry sooner. We had a work meeting hosted here, and now I can already tell I'll have to go back! We split appetizers, including shrimp cocktail with 2 flavorful dipping sauces, and even better was a cauliflower hummus. Next the short rib. It came with a potato purée, and some mushroom and onions. The glaze on the short rib has a somewhat sweet hint, and the meat itself just falls apart. I would order this again without question. Lastly for a something sweet, I got the key lime crème brûlée. It had a sugar topping with a perfect crisp, and a sweet tangy cream filling on a graham cracker type crust. YUM! read more

Another Fox restaurant that serves up healthy food. It was pretty packed on Wednesday for lunch. I'd recommend making a reservation. We sat on the patio since they had few tables open; we were lucky it was a beautiful day with completely shaded patio. We had their Beverly Hills club and charred avocado salad. The club was excellent. The charred avocado salad was good too; excellent dressing. However, the charred part I didn't understand. It looked like it was dabbed in black powder. The Henry 4455 E Camelback Phoenix, AZ 85018 Companion and I had reservations for 5:30. We were seated promptly in an area were I could watch the expeditor as well as most of the cooking and prep. Our wait person arrived fairly quickly and brought menus. Instead of bringing both a regular menu and a Restaurant Week menu she had to be asked for a Restaurant Week menu. Except for main dishes companion and I both ordered the same food. We started out with the Caesar Salad. Probably one of the worst interpretations of a Caesar Salad I have ever forced myself to eat. Barely dressed, the salad was dry and covered with a mountain of grated parmesan cheese that reminded me of Kraft! It would have been a whole lot nicer if it had some shaved parm on top and some actual dressing on the salad. The croutons were the best part of the salad. For main courses, companion had the Bolognese, which was quite adequate. Personally I'd have liked a bit of tomato in it, but that is personal preference. The penne pasta was properly al dente. Companion could not finish the entire bowl that was served. I had the Korean Skirt Steak. I had asked for it to be blue, but our waitress had no idea what I was asking for and I had to teach her. Not my job, but someone had to do it! The steak was cooked perfectly and had good flavor. It was served of a delicious fried rice medley. I was barely able to finish the portion. Next was dessert. We both ordered the bread pudding made with Warm Croissant bread, caramel ice cream and whiskey raisin sauce. I'd return if for no other reason than to have the dessert again. Sanitation was apparent. Silverware and dishes were spotless with a person inspecting each piece and wiping it by hand. Very nice. Dings: This is yet another restaurant that serves serrated knives with steak. All they do is tear the fibers of the steak instead of cleanly cutting it. The open kitchen concept as well as the brigade was interesting, but I certainly did not enjoy seeing into their spice pantry which had a curtain to block it off but someone was too lazy to pull it. Restaurateurs need to be aware of things like this and have them taken care of. Patrons really don't want to see the back of house. I find myself on the edge between 3 and 4 stars. When that happens I will always give the higher star rating in the hopes that when I return for a second eval, which I will, that they will show that they deserve the higher rating. 4 stars read more

Fabulous spot to get a great meal. Restaurant and patio decorated so nicely for the holidays with plenty of standing heaters to keep you warm outside. We started with some marvelous cocktails. We chose the fig ginger mule which was outstanding with just the right amount of tartness. (I didn't take a pic because it was too dark). We also had the Thai grapefruit smash which we found to be fresh and aromatic. For an appetizer wisely chose the spicy tuna on crispy rice. That was some of the most enjoyable bites of food I have ever had. It's pricey for how much you get, but you will NOT be disappointed. Entree choices all looked amazing, but we settled on these three: Korean skirt steak, Bolognese, and the chicken avocado salad. The bolognese was perfection. An appropriate portion. The truffle butter toast was the perfect addition to the dish. My guest loved her salad, noting that the pine nuts made for a nice added texture. Very nice atmosphere and large restaurant. I went for Happy Hour and enjoyed 1/2 dozen oysters, the burrata, the beef potstickers, half a Cesar salad, and spicy tuna with crispy rice. All of it was delicious along with my Vodka Grapefruit Basil smash cocktails. I would have given them 5 stars however our table was small too small for all the food we ordered, they did not have mignonette sauce for the oysters and the waitress didn't know what size the oyster's were or where the specifically came from or the name of them. It will always be packed so I do recommend you make reservations ahead of time.I have eaten here a few times with friends and family and everything that we have tried taste really good --but when I tried the HOT HONEY CRISPY CHICKEN for lunch I have to admit i was truly disappointed, it looked nothing like the picture The Henry posted, mine looked really poor. I think this sandwhich should be listed in kids meal instead, its not spicy and probably will be enough for a kid.
