Will recommend Will return…read more when you walk in this place, this is order at counter to go or order at the counter and be seated and they will bring you your order. This is not a place where a waitress comes to your table to take your order. We are local to the area and I created a list of places that I would like to eat at and this was one of them. I had Mediterranean food once before and that was in North Carolina and this restaurant was way better. The food was hot. The food was fresh. The chicken, lamb beef and I know I'm forgetting one more but the four types of meat I had were very moist and very good. Very flavorful! proportions were great for a hungry lady after 8 1/2 hours of yardwork. I chose to do the spicy hummus and WARNING take WARNING that is very spicy. The pita bread was not stale. The staff was very friendly. I did say to them that I was willing to try anything they recommended. I was up for an adventure, and there was not much that I don't like and that's what she chose for me. The seating area was plenty. It was a little bit busy, which I was surprised to see. I just figured it wasn't going to be that busy, but it was. It seemed very family oriented. It was not loud at all. It also seemed to be clean. The chair is on the other hand they could use an upgrade. They were comfortable, but you can definitely tell by the armrest that they are used. I thought the price was also very reasonable considering

The portion size is variable. I've had it "generous" and I've had it "Whoa - that's a LOT of food". They're not covered with a standard tzatziki sauce - theirs is more feta forward. Super tasty. The fries vary as well. Sometimes a bit crunchier and sometimes, while still crunchy, more toward McD fries style. But it's just the outer surface that crunches. Inside it's smooth and creamy. Top drawer. You'll find that they tuck a few fries into the wrap. A nice touch. The only negative point is speed. I've always been there early - the first for lunch. But it still takes a fair bit of time to get the food. Arrive during the crowded time and you're definitely going to be waiting around. But ... worth it. They have a lot more on the menu and have an interesting alcohol free beer/soda that was new to me and a nice change from actual soda. Definitely worth a visit.

I've had lamb, chicken, and kofta and they've all been DELECTABLE. I absolutely love the salads and the portions are big enough to give me 2-3 meals out of 1 plate! The food is fresh and piping hot each time and the service is always so fast. It is definitely worth stopping to check out!

I ordered the onion rings and chicken and lamb plate - it took about 5 minutes. Portions are huge like the other reviews mentioned. The onion rings were so hot, crispy, and flavorful - you can see that oil on the bag so you know it'll be good! For the plate, unpopular opinion but I didn't love the white sauce. I've had Halal Guys, but this was too mayo-ey for me, and there was *a lot* of it (and covered all the salad). I wish there was more hot sauce, so next time I'll probably ask for less white sauce or white sauce on the side and extra hot sauce. The hot sauce is hot, so it's great on top of the white sauce. The chicken also wasn't as flavorful as the lamb. I can see why this is such an establishment - fast food and huge portions! My order cost about $25, so increased prices but that's inflation nowadays. They also have drinks for sale.

This Long Island NY based Halal chain has been expanding from the Tri State area into New England. There are also plenty of competing Halal food trucks in NYC. The space was remodeled which is an order at the counter place with lighted menu screens and indoor table seating. They also offer online ordering and DoorDash delivery. They offer platters, salads, gyros, cheese steak subs, burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, chicken nuggets & wings, baklava, and drinks in the cooler. The pricing seems fair. On my way back home, I stopped by Shah's Halal Food Lowell for takeout. I placed my online pickup order through DoorDash since I had credits. I ordered the Beef Chapli & Chips Platter ($11.99 plus tax) and Assorted Baklava ($3.49 plus tax). My online order was all set to go in about 13 minutes. The platter had soft seasoned ground beef kabobs, thin pakora chips, served over soft basmati rice and a mix green salad with creamy white sauce plus the optional hot sauces too. The platter had good savory and spicy flavors. The prepackaged assorted baklava was a good sweet treat for the after meal. I would definitely stop by again for more Halal takeout. I can already sense that Shah's could be expanding into NH, since the demand for Halal food is there. This Lowell branch is about 10 minutes to NH on Mammoth Road.

They had more sauce variety than other places but I went with the typical white sauce and spicy. The rice was good, but the color was just not vibrant yellow like im use to but don't let that scare you. The meats are all precooked and just sits in a heating tray, so the food wasn't super hot. Overall not terrible, one upside is that they're open until 1 or 2 am on weekends.
