They were able to sit us in one of the igloos in the back and the vibe was so fun. The service was exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious. The drinks looked and tasted amazing not to mention the ambiance of the whole restaurant was so cool. 11/10 will definitely come back if I'm in town again :)

The coconut Mojito was perfect and the corpse survivor number two was an interesting and enjoyable cocktail that I would not make it home and that's why i get unique cocktails when I go out. We shared the Gobi (cauliflower) 65 - one of the best cauliflower dishes I've ever had, nicely spicy and cooked so well, a paneer dosa, Samosa Chat, and Bachi Dum (chicken) biryani. Along with some onion kulcha. We always love the delicate dosa with different fillings - paneer this time but the potatoes and onions would be delicious options too). I make biryani at home. Mine is always just OK or pretty good and definitely not as rich and flavorful as this one was - maybe the best I've had. The mango chili Paloma a perfect compliment to a spicy food and my spicy pineapple margarita was a nice change of pace as well. Taj is our favorite local Indian restaurant and should be yours as well.

This was cool. I first saw this Halal grocery store when I was at the large but unexceptional…read morehardware store across the street. I wanted to drop in because the sign said that they had goat & camel meat, but it was the middle of Ramadan and assuming they were open, the last thing they need in the middle of a fast is me blundering in there looking for something to eat. Anyway, Ramadan's gone and I was in the neighborhood so I went in. The guy who worked there was really friendly and helpful but we had a hard time understanding each other. Ultimately I left with a bunch of cut up goat ribs that were supposed to be "really good for soup". This typically means that they're a tough cut of meat, but I'll braise them and let the crock pot do the rest. I also picked up the kind of dates that they just don't have in Hannaford's, but they're everywhere in most Halal markets. There's also a room in the back which seems to be some kind of restaurant or maybe just a hangout. There were a ton of male voices back there and they had that sound of people discussing current events and passing the time. I don't know if the store closes at prayer time or not. Most of the customers were women wearing very colorful clothing who talked among themselves and seemed to know exactly what they wanted to buy. As for me, I was a fish out of water but I was having a good time and wasn't made to feel out of place. I look forward to going back and trying something else soon, but right now I'm going to start working on tomorrow night's goat stew. (Two days later): The goat stew was really good and I want to get something else.

We loved every single bit and piece of chicken. My entire family including a 2 and 4 year old were gnawing away happily on their chicken drumsticks!! We weren't sure how the pieces would be, so we ordered a 35 piece bucket..LOL, it was actually the size of a full catering tray! LOL On the way home I kept kicking myself that I ordered way too much. All I can say after a few bites, I was so excited to have days of leftovers!! Heat the leftovers in an air fryer and it's as good as new. We can't wait to try it again...but it will be a while...maybe in a month? I will feel like fried chicken again! LOL The mac and cheese was ok - it was batch mac which means the noodles are not al dente, over cooked for my taste. The french fries were nice shoe string fries with sprinkling of seasoning. Not sure what, but it was tasty. We also got a nice salad they happily customized to not have onion. We were greeted immediately upon entry and it was a bit snowy so he allowed me and my sister out the side door where we parked, So nice and kind!! The place inside was simple cafeteria style set up. I will definitely buy chicken again for takeout.
