My friend and I had lunch at this restaurant. It is quaint and cosy. We were greeted by a young…read morelady as we walked in and seated. There were about three other tables with customers seated and eating. There were seats at the bar that looked like back in the days when they served soda fountains. The menu had some good choices but we both got the Reuben served with chips. We were glad we did, it was quite delicious. I noticed that the salads served looked delicious and big serving. I would love to come back and try their other dishes.

That's ok; every place has its own way do doing things. I waited. Noticeably, I was the only person of color in the entire restaurant. Still, I waited because no tables were available and they could see I was there. They made eye contact several times, walked by me several times. Finally, a table was turned over (very very slowly). I anticipated that would be mine since I'd been waiting and no one else was there. While the table was being turned over, another party came in. They were not spoken to either. When done, the woman who had turned over the table greeted them and walked them to the fresh table. She looked at me and turned away. I watched, confused. Someone who appeared to be a manager or owner hopped down off her stool at the bar having seen what happened, spoke to the hostess and asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar. I declined. I had waited and I wanted a table. The woman just turned and walked back to her seat at the bar. No apology (though she saw what happened), no indication of making it right. The hostess appeared annoyed but not apologetic and said nothing. I ended up leaving because the people there made us feel so unwanted - blatantly and boldly so. So if you're POC or visibly queer, skip this place.

The Inn was hopping for lunch today. Despite that we were seen and watered quickly. Our appetizer…read morecame out at a reasonable pace and the entree a little slower but not bad. What we got: Pretzel Treasures with ale cheese - 4.5* it definitely left me wanting more pretzel bits but the flavour was great! Large pizza - 4* we made our own with pesto sauce, smoked mozzarella, chorizo, fresh tomatoes, and fresh basil. I wish the pesto was a bit more prominent but overall it was a delicious pizza. Probably not my favourite crust though.

It was a lovely evening the night we went, so we ate outside. I started off with a Raspberry mule. I believe our server may have forgotten about it because I didn't get it until right before our meal arrived. But it was really good and a great bargain for $7. For dinner I had the shrimp tacos, the shrimp was blackened and it was served with a slice of avocado and sriracha mayonnaise. It had a good flavor and the right amount of spice. My husband had the Chesapeake omelette which was served with spinach, lump crab meat, mozzarella and a Chesapeake sauce. He said his dish was delicious. This was our second time here and it will not be our last.
