We started the meal off with some seared scallops that were perfectly arranged. Next, my wife had some seared tuna while I ordered the Colorado bison -- both items off of the special seasonal menu. The dishes were incredibly flavorful and the veggies that surrounded the meat added a nice complement. I also really enjoyed my California cab, as did my wife with her house Manhattan. The attendees all complimented on how wonderful it turned out. I met with Joe, the owner, who called me back immediately and met with me the same day. He was incredibly accommodating and I picked from one of their funeral reception packages but customized it by adding several more items. He even offered to stream the kind of music I wanted in the background. Because the restaurant doesn't open until late afternoon we had the restaurant to ourselves so parking was easy and there were no distractions. The food was displayed beautifully but more importantly it tasted good. Tyler, the bar manager, had a great personality and when not making drinks walked around clearing tables and offering to get people drinks since it was an older crowd. All in all, if you are looking for a place to hold an event I highly recommend The Marshallton. I thought it was priced reasonably and they really delivered.
