    Half baked chocolate chip cookie
    Kim M.

I made reservations for dinner and we had nice seating in the bar area. For starters, we ordered a bottle of Hall cabernet & the crab and spinach dip appetizer special. It was very good with plenty of crab meat and crustini bread for dipping. For dinner I ordered the pasta Isobel special. It was penne pasta, lump crab meat and baby spinach in a blush sauce and very good. My husband and daughter both ordered the 16oz ribeyes medium rare and were both cooked to perfection. For dessert we decided to share and ordered the half baked cookie and strawberry banana crème. The cookie is half baked with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. The strawberry crème is a whipped confection over a layer of bananas in a graham cracker crust topped with strawberries and blueberries. Overall, we had an amazing dinner and service was awesome as usual!

    Garlic bread

I've been going to valle's for 20 years (my parents even longer) and it still holds up! Some places I have nostalgia for haven't stood the test of time but this place has! There is something different about this garlic bread- idk what sort of magic they marinate their garlic in but it's always the main event. I got the special French onion soup which wasn't the best but still good, and the mini crab cakes. My dad enjoyed his steak as usual but was a bit salty this time. My mom ordered a half order of a chicken dish and loved it. My bf got the carbonara and was a bit disappointed since it was more creamy like fettuccine and less classic (he is picky on Italian food). We LOVE the strawberry banana cream and it's such a refreshing dessert. Thank you Mackenzie for helping us have a great meal! You can't go wrong with lunch either, pizza, subs, French fries all great.

Third time I have come here for a steak and they have yet to mess up the temperature. This time was their 9oz signature filet and it came out perfectly cooked. They use bacon in the mix and the only thing I'd say is it had a bit of stronger maple bacon taste but nothing so overpowering to ruin the meal at all. Either way, absent Houston White in Rehoboth, this has been my most reliable steak location. I'm a bit of a steak snob so if it makes me happy then easily it should be highly considered by others.

    Penne Chicken Alla Vodka

Went here with my parents this past weekend. We got the penne alla vodka and baked ziti, it was pretty good. The bread was also very tasty! The Italian dressing on my salad didn't have much flavor but overall a good experience. Service was a bit slow.

    Espresso Martini

Always a positive dining experience. Try and make a reservation when you can, especially on Friday or Saturday nights.

The drinks including a glass of wine and martini were good. The baked bread appetizer came with a frozen piece of butter. If you make a compound butter, it usually tastes better room temperature. 5 minutes after the bread arrived, the Caesar salad arrived. No salad plates were provided. Within 1-2 minutes after salad was delivered, the steaks arrived. I don't mind salad with my meal if it's part of the culture of the restaurant. However, at most steakhouses where I've been, the salad is a separate course served prior to the main course. The steaks ordered were the bone in strip and the filet. Both steaks were heavily over salted. We ordered the béarnaise sauce and the French onion butter as toppings, and both were unremarkable. The roasted potatoes side dish was delicious as was the salad. The ambiance of the restaurant is great. It's a shame the seasoning for the food and the presentation and timing of the food delivery aren't better controlled.

My friend and I arrived a bit early for our reservation, but were quickly greeted and offered a beverage menu. Their cocktail options are creative and constantly changing, often featuring some unique foam toppers. On this particular occasion, I started with the Strawberry Kiwi Spice Margarita, which included some cardamom to add depth and warmth to the fruity drink. I also ordered the Apricot Ginger Sour, a consistent favorite bourbon cocktail with a little zing from the lemon foam on top. Both drinks were excellent. For starters, we selected a few of the fresh oysters as well as a scallop special made with a lemon beurre blanc. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and I was grateful the dish came with sourdough to sop up every last drop of that delicious beurre blanc. My entree was where things went awry. I tend toward pescetarian options and selected the lone fish on the menu that night: skate wing. My first few bites were great, though slightly oversalted. However, eventually the mouthfeel evolved into a burning, ammonia taste, and I unfortunately wasn't able to finish the dish. My friend who also had the skate wing, however, did not have that experience (and I tried a bite of hers to confirm, too!). I know skate wing can be tricky to prepare and this is a known potential issue, but it was disappointing. Luckily, dessert was fabulous once again --- we chose the coconut creme brulee which was delightful. I'm sure I'll be back. Just no skate wing for me!

Planning an event like this isn't easy -- there's so much weight to it, wanting every detail to honor someone you love -- and this team made that possible in a way I'll always be grateful for. The decor in the room was beautiful. Soft draping along the ceiling, a gorgeous chandelier, candlelight, and floral centerpieces on every table -- it felt warm and intimate, like the space itself was wrapping its arms around all of us as we gathered to remember her. Seeing my mom's photo up on the screens around the room, surrounded by family and friends sharing stories, laughter, and tears, is something I'll never forget. The service that night was incredible. The staff moved through the room with such care, making sure everyone felt looked after, but never once making it feel like just another event. The bartenders, especially, brought such an open, easygoing energy -- they were so fun to be around, and they helped lighten the mood in a way that let us laugh and celebrate my mom's life, even amid the grief. Looking back, that mix of comfort and joy meant so much. The food was super delicious too, and in moments like this, even small things -- a warm meal, a kind smile, a drink poured with a little extra care -- mean far more than people realize. I have to give a heartfelt and BIG shoutout to Amanda, the event coordinator/manager. She was an absolute sweetheart, and her calm, caring presence made it possible for our family to actually be present in the moment instead of worrying about logistics. She made sure everything -- from the setup to the TVs and microphones working perfectly for the tributes -- ran smoothly, and her thoughtfulness didn't go unnoticed by any of us. Hosting something this meaningful in a space that felt this beautiful, with people this kind, made all the difference on one of the hardest days. I am endlessly grateful to Amanda, the bartenders, and the entire team at Tonic for helping us celebrate my mom's life with so much love. I can't recommend this venue enough!!

You have to order this as a starter. They had a quail special and monkfish special the evening we were there. The birthday girl ordered the quail. It took about an hour to arrive and came undercooked. Thankfully they were kind about cooking it more. I think she enjoyed it once she got to eat. Her husband got the pork chops. Everyone - that is, - everyone but the guy paying - enjoyed their meals. My wife and I ordered the Australian Waygu steak and Lobster and included bottle of wine for 2 deal at $199. My wife cooks an excellent steak but I wanted to try Waygu and hearing the hierarchy of Waygu goes: Japan, Australia, USA I was expecting perfection. When it 1st came out it looked too rare. But again, not having Waygu before I just went with it figuring even a fair chef at steakhouse should know the proper temperature to cook this special cut of beef. What a mistake. The 1st piece I "tried" to cut into was like cutting into the bottom of my shoe. Those 1st half dozen bites I had to spit out they were so tough. The 2nd piece of the pre-sliced Waygu was still a very tough slice and very chewy. I asked my son (44) to try it and he took a piece from to other end. He could taste the difference from a ribeye or porterhouse but again, it was tough and not as expected from such a "so called" prized piece of beef. I went back and forth with myself about complaining. But, with the grandkids there, and my son giving his lukewarm evaluation, I just decided to keep my mouth shut. Maybe it was a mistake. But we will just spend our money elsewhere (like The House of William and Merry where we always have a fantastic dining experience) I will add our service was excellent. I think her name was Harrison, or something like this. She, and the staff, served us well.
