Huckleberry stuffed French toast - DELICIOUS
    Paul M.

Had a great experience today! Came at 7am, right as they opened. John A welcomed me in and was my server. He was very friendly and attentive. Ordered the stuffed French toast with huckleberries. Texas toast was used for the French toast and cream cheese and huckleberries spread between the two slices of bread. Ordered a latte and they use quality expresso beans. Always thrilled when a breakfast spot has the full espresso menu (and not just coffee). Everything was delicious. Inside is nicely decorated. I think this is a chain but they don't have any locations where I live in Seattle, which is too bad because this is a good breakfast spot!!!

It's been a while since I have been to this Griddle location but we sure did have such a great experience there today. A couple of my friends and I met for breakfast today. It wasn't super busy so I grabbed a table. A server cane, dropped off menus and grabbed my drink order. She got me all squared away and Leah took care of me till my friend is showed up. After everyone got settled and looked over the menu, we worked on our fresh orange juice and coffee. The Griddle will always have the best Oj in town. It's hard not to suck down the whole cup in one gulp. The coffee was hot and fresh. For breakfast I got 2 eggs and bacon. The eggs were fried nicely. My hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, my favorite. I got 3 slices of bacon that was crispy and salty. I also got a side of country gravy for my hashbrowns. I like that their gravy isn't so thick, it had a great consistency to it. Everything was delicious! Leah did a great job taking care of us. My third friend was running late but Leah checked up on us. Had our coffee cups filled and took our empty plates away to give us more space. I will have to say, this location has the best staff. Compared to the other locations, The Griddle Park Center is fantastic.

Well we have been here twice, and this two times we had felt like they are racist toward us, don't get me wrong the food was amazing is pretty good, but the service was awful, we couldn't even get a water, I get it they are busy but our waiter would go check on every other table except us and when we finally get to order our drinks we had to do it with another waiter and he gave us an attitude as well, idk we didn't feel welcome over there by the staff, as soon we got the food they gave us our bill even tho we wanted to order more they didn't ask us, and like I said every time we wanted to get something those two times that we went we would get ignored or get help with an attitude :/ I just don't think that's okay and it mades us feel uncomfortable

It's always busy here and for good reason. It's a classic breakfast spot with really solid specials and a classic breakfast menu. Lively but not too loud inside. I'd say it's somewhere between a nice upscale restaurant and a greasy spoon.

When we arrived, the line appeared to be long, but we were seated in less than five minutes. I ordered the quinoa, chorizo, and egg tostadas meal along with a hotcake. It was delicious! I would definitely come back the next time I'm in town!

Hubby & I were in town for fun, short weekend. We showed up for Sunday brunch at 11:30, had a 20 min wait. We asked for an outside table, which was perfect. I started with a VERY good Bloody Mary followed by chilaquiles with red sauce & over-medium eggs. Delicious! Hubby had a good iced tea, raspberry stuffed french toast that was good (I would have preferred the raspberry sauce more tart). He said the chuck patty he ordered on the side was very good. Service is not fast, but worth it. Total time from arrival was 1 hr 20 min.

    Wild West Scramble

We were driving home to Washington state from Wyoming and after driving all night and sleeping for a couple hours we woke up needing some breakfast and coffee. I looked up this place and reviews and pictures looked good. Once we got there around 10 realizing it was Sunday I thought we'd be waiting awhile but it was a 5-10 minute wait. We sat down in a nice little booth, the very friendly server came right over and got us some coffee!! I'm not sure if I just really needed coffee but it was very decent house coffee!! I ordered the Wild West scramble with sourdough toast. She brought some yummy homemade jam too. This scramble was delicious and the hashbrowns perfectly cooked. My husband had the French toast with two eggs and bacon. The French toast was so fluffy and just melted in your mouth. The amount of bacon you got was more than normal and it was delicious too!! Great, delicious, affordable little place!! Service was great too!!

I arrived first. There was a server behind the counter not really acknowledging me. There were also a couple other servers hanging out by the breakfast bar that were in their own little world. So, I just stood there for a while. Finally someone who was actually serving a table who wad walking by greeted me and got my sat. I got some coffee started while I was waiting for my friend. I told me server about my new kidney and that I couldn't use the creamers on the table that had been handled by previous guests. She was kind and got me a new bowl of creamers. I kicked it, enjoyed my hot coffee and waited till my friend showed up. After my friend finally showed up, we breezed over the menu and decided on some grub. I did have a meal a little before our lunch date so I got something off the smaller menu. I decided on the hamburger patty with onions and 1egg meal. I thought it was going to be the perfect amount. Everything came out quickly. I did ask for a side of brown gravy for my hamburger patty, it was looking kinda dry. The side of fruit I got looked fresh and my egg was cooked perfectly. My patty was smaller, it would be comparable to a patty you would use as a slider. The gravy and onions did add nice flavor to it. Unfortunately the gravy was sitting for a while in the back cause it was lumpy and cooler. The egg was fresh and the fruit as good. My coffee was always topped off by our server which I really appreciated. My friend and I didn't realize what time they closed. We just thought that we came at an odd hour so no one was eating and it was slow. We hung out for a while and chatted. Finally another server told us that she was going to go paint the bathroom and she would be in there if we needed anything. Finding that to be such an odd comment, I googled to see what time they closed. It was 2:15 and they closed at 2. I thought a simple "is there anything else we can get you cause we are closed" would have been sufficient instead of beating around the bush. I served for over 30 years and have never told my guests I would be in the bathroom if they needed me. It was an interesting meal here. The venue was fun with the lights and vintage decor. The food was decent. Our server did a great job but service outside of her was non existent or questionable. I have my favorite breakfast joints and I wish I could have added this place to it on this end of town. I love supporting local but it's hard to support this joint when the service and food was just 50/50.

I have been to quite a few joints downtown already. I wasn't dressed the best so heading to Bacon or Tupelo Honey for breakfast would have been a little embarrassing. And I didn't want to deal with parking so after doing a little research, Elmer's was my spot to grab some food. Driving up to the restaurant, there were quite a few cars in the parking lot. What have I been missing out on? This place was poppin! I know Elmer's has been around for a hot minute and as long as I have lived here, I have never been. Seeing that the parking lot was pretty full, I took it as a good sign about my choice of coming here. I was sat at a small table by the fireplace. It's a pretty cozy venue. Bright from all the windows. The fireplace was going so it was nice and toasty. It was a very chill setting. Mariah got some coffee started for me while I was breezing over the menu. They have a little of everything for breakfast and some lunch options. I ordered the Hungry Rancher for breakfast. I should have known that my eyes were bigger than my stomach cause it was a lot of food! You get 3 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, 2 slices of ham, 2 sausage links, hashbrowns and fruit. I also got a side of country gravy and pancake syrup. Gotta have pancake syrup for the sausage links! My eggs were fried hard and were perfect. The sausage links had a nice browning on them which I love. It was paired nicely with the pancake syrup. I ate a couple bites of my hashbrowns with the gravy. The top of the hashbrowns were crispy and golden but the middle part of the hashbrowns were still undercooked. You get a great portion of the hashbrowns which is fantastic but when it's that thick of a portion, the middle of it ends up not cooking all the way through. I ended up taking my ham and bacon home with me. I didn't have enough room to finish my huge plate! The one thing I noticed about this joint were all the older folks here. It was nice seeing them out, socializing, playing card games after their meal and enjoying life. This must be the go to spot for senior citizens. I did feel out of place amongst these fabulous folks but honestly it was fun. They are so chill. No drama. No loud conversations. Everyone was just having a relaxing and fun time. I can hang with these folks any day! It was a fun experience today at Elmer's. The food was hefty and good. The crowd is chill and fun to be around. The venue is comfortable and relaxing. I'm happy I got to grab a meal here in between my appointments. I got to enjoy my meal and wasn't rushed. Mariah did a great job taking care of me. I don't know when I'll be in the area again but I'll be hitting up Elmer's if I am, especially for breakfast.

But lucky for me, my husband and I were in the area so of course we had to make our way in for brunch. We showed up 45 minutes til close. There was about a 25 to 30 minute wait. We decided to tough it out and kick it. I did ask if we would still get served since we will be sat towards closing. They said yes so we waited. There would be a wait anywhere else so why leave. I just found it so kind that they would be willing to still take us with the restaurant closing soon. It was busy which makes me so happy. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a local business thrive. While hanging out, I was admiring the fun antiques that were decorated all over the restaurant. Talk about history and charm to this joint. Vintage cans, old cooking utensils, old school packages of Spam. There's so much history in this little venue. It's truly incredible to look at and appreciate. We were finally sat 20 minutes til closing. We got some coffee and apple juice started while we checked out the menu. After drinks were dropped off, we quickly ordered our food. My husband got chicken fried steak and I got the works omelet without the sausage. I believe they replaced it with extra ham. Food came out rather fast since we were the tail end of the day. And boy did everything look so good! My omelet looked massive. I was starving so I was so happy that it was big! The omelet was stuffed with green peppers, onions, ham, bacon and cheese. I also got a hearty side of hashbrowns. My husband got his country gravy that came with his country fried steak on the side for me. I was able to add it to my hashbrowns and omelet. Country gravy and hashbrowns is a top tier combination. And today's gravy and potatoes was money! My omelet was perfection. The onions and green peppers were nicely sautéed. There was a great amount of ham and bacon. The eggs were nicely cooked! Cheese that was in the middle was nice and melty. I ate the whole thing! Did I regret it later, yes but it was worth it! I finished half of my hashbrowns. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, these hashbrowns were fantastic! And the country gravy made them that much tastier. My husband enjoyed his breakfast. I most definitely enjoyed mine. Service was fabulous. Coffee was hot and always filled. Today's visit was truly fantastic. I heard that this joint is moving to Orchard. I look forward to coming and checking out the new venue. I know I won't be waiting another 20 years to come back. The food and the service was too good not to come back soon. I look forward to another omelet and one of their huge ass cinnamon rolls!

Moon's Kitchen Café has officially become my absolute favorite spot in the Treasure Valley. Having visited several times, I can confidently say their consistency, quality, and hospitality are unmatched. The Drink Lineup: You cannot go wrong with their beverage menu. I have explored several options: * The Rich Mocha (with Salted Caramel & White Chocolate): Tried this both hot and iced. Both versions offer the perfect, balanced blend of creamy texture and high-quality sweetness. * The 8 & Main Mocha: Served hot with distinct notes of honey and cinnamon. It is an absolute comforting must-try. * Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice: You can taste that it is juiced on-site. Bright, crisp, and incredibly refreshing. * Standard Drip Coffee: Served piping hot. The staff keeps your cup endlessly full so you never run out. The Food Standouts: * Louisiana-Style Beignets: These housemade, made-to-order square French doughnuts are fluffy and generously dusted with powdered sugar. Served with honey butter and housemade jam, they taste exactly like authentic New Orleans beignets. * Corned Beef Hash: In my opinion, this is the best in the valley. It features housemade corned beef, perfectly sautéed onions and peppers, pepper jack cheese, and two over-easy eggs served over diced red potatoes. * John Wayne Breakfast & Biscuits and Gravy: Both feature their phenomenal, daily housemade sausage gravy smothering fluffy buttermilk biscuits. It is hearty, comforting, and leaves you completely full. * Denver Omelette: A classic executed perfectly with three eggs, ham, melted cheddar, onions, and peppers. Location, Parking, & Service: The move to their current downtown location is a massive upgrade. Parking is incredibly convenient thanks to the attached building garage. You can walk straight into the restaurant from the second floor of the garage, or take the escalator/elevator up if you enter from 8th Street.
