Short stack and 2 scrambled eggs with cheese

Food was excellent and seemed like good pricing! Portion sizes are large and filling. Service was with a smile, friendly, and prompt. Atmosphere was quirky and fun. Throwback vibes!

We came to this cute little venue for brunch today. It was neat to travel back in time and dine in a 50's era diner. The restaurant is filled with great decor that makes the you feel like you're sharing a milk shake with your sweetheart in your poodle skirt. I ordered the #4 breakfast today which consists of biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon. The bacon was perfectly cooked, not too crunchy but not too soggy. Eggs were cooked just right! The portion for the biscuits and gravy was huge! The gravy did have a little too much pepper for my liking but it was still good! It was a great breakfast. There was a flaw with my biscuits but our server took care of it right away! I appreciate him for doing so. If you're looking for a good meal from a local joint, this is your place to support.

    #3 on the menu.

This is such a cute restaurant! I love the decor and the atmosphere. It is so comfortable and welcoming. The food portions are so generous and it was cooked to perfection! I ordered the #3 combo meal. Delish!!!

Great meatloaf and potatoes! Even loved the sautéed veg! I never order meatloaf anywhere! Super happy it was on their lunch special and ordered it on the fly! Service was fantastic too! Highly recommend! And they have great specials on senior menu! Go...run there! Looking forward to next visit!

The reason we went back the second time was because we remembered how good the food was and how nearby it was too. The second time the food was still really good, but the service was HORRENDOUS. Brittney was such a ***** to me and my parents, my mom especially. My mom was complimenting her and something about the food, and she straight up just walked away in the middle of my mom still talking. And no it wasn't busy. It was towards the end of the night, there was maybe 2-3 other customers there. She acted like we were bothering her the whole time. Then once she'd leave us would just stand up at the bar flirting with the other guy working there and just ignore anyone else. Then on top of all of that, my dad tells me she added $10 onto her tip! FRAUD!!! I've attached photos as evidence. My dad still tipped her even though she was so rude and disrespectful. But apparently that wasn't enough for her and added $10 onto the total. I cannot believe that. And my dad tells me it was difficult to get his $10 back after calling and talking to the manager. He didn't get the name of the manager but he said that they were just making excuses and saying oh but she's our best server. Obviously not! Saying things like oh she must've just been really busy. Again, we were there when it was dead and about to close soon, no it was not busy. It's almost as if this business does this type of thing often because there was no alarm from the manager, then finally after much deliberation decided to send back the $10. Absolutely ridiculous. No : "I'm so sorry here's a free meal on us", or atleast a "here's a coupon or gift card for next time you come in", nothing. This is the type of thing that gets people closed down. We should report to the BBB. This is insane. And to not be offered anything to make it right is what really gets me. Like do they not want us to ever come back??? Not to mention tell everyone we know, etc. Yikes! And this is what we get for wanting to support local businesses instead of going to the big chains. What a bummer.

Croquetas, Brussels Salad, Gnocchi, Steelhead Trout, Flat Iron Steak, Lemon Tart, Vegan Apple Crisp.....unbelievable in the combination of flavor, texture, and ingredients. Everything we had was 5 star rating. And the wine selection, was incredible. Bordeaux Blanc and the Pinot Noir we absolutely loved. Please, don't let price dissuade you from coming here. You truly do get what you pay for, and in our minds the value is definitely there. Plus, you take home what you don't finish and get to continue the enjoyment! The atmosphere can only be described as cool, comfortable, easy. They just weren't trying so hard if that make any sense, and it was so nice. By coincidence when walking around town I spotted it and had to go try. I'm a sucker for biscuits and gravy and these definitely beat what you would find in a Denny's or IHOP by a landslide on the taste and aesthetic scale! It's super filling since there's so many carbs, but the taters (more like small potato wedges) are actually a clever add-in. They add a slight bit of texture to the mushiness of the gravy-soaked biscuits, and potatoes and gravy are already best friends in terms of food pairings. There's also garnish on top (some sort of greens and cheese) that gives it a nice look and extra flavor. Delicious! I didn't think much of the customer service initially aside from thinking they were super friendly. However, I sat down at one of the tables and took my time eating and people watching. So many people came by the store to talk to the chefs with such familiarity that it felt like this popup was its own restaurant and community. It hasn't reached a point of popularity where it's flooded with people, but the more I look back on the experience, the nicer I feel about it. Even after a lot of time had passed and the staff had already helped out so many people, when I left, they called out my name and it made me wish I could go back again. This is one of the best experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. Not because it's spectacular or mindblowing, but because it was great people watching. The food itself was also amazing for late night food-coma inducing munching.

I only wish we would have come here a long time ago, but we now have a favorite place. We are so happy that it was bought by people who truly care about the history of this place and the customers, as they have kept it in its original form and haven't changed the menu. It is rare to find people willing to buy a place likes this in order to keep it going. I hope they continue on as it is now and don't change a thing. The ambiance was quiet, and I would describe the decor as elegant Dutton Ranch style The staff were all friendly and the food was amazing! I had the prime rib (finally, a chef that knows what "rare" means and it was absolutley delicious. My husband had the Ribeye steak and it too was impressive and one of the best he's ever had. The sauted mushrooms were terrific and you "HAVE" to have the salad with their homemade Rouqefert dreassing. I haven't seen Rouqefert dressing in years and it is absolutely the best (of course this is the only place we've found that offers it). The drinks were good and especially the Prickly Pear Lemon Drop....so yummy! Even though the food was great, what truly made it a "dining experience" like we've only received a few other times (and we eat out a lot), was Jessica, our waitress. She was so nice and really on top of her game. She was not only attendtive but really paid attention to the smallest of details, e.g., when I dropped my napkin, she was right there with a new one. She is what all wait staff should be, and I think she could a school and train others. We have only had an "EXCELLENT" server a few times in our lives (and we're old), but she is one of the best we have ever had. Thank you Jessica for making our dinner a true memorable dining experience. This, on top of the excellent food quality, is why we will definitely be back.

He was very informative about where to go and places to check out in Boise. I ordered one of the local beers and their flagship meal, the Santa Maria Tri Tip Sandwich. As you can see by looking at the photos, the tri-tip was cooked to perfection. It had tomatoes, poblano, and chimichurri sauce on it to add to the flavors of the tri-tip. The bread consistency was great, not too soggy, and with a great crispy texture. I wish they had spread the tri-tip out more to make sure every bite was being celebrated. I also ordered the mac and cheese as the side per the instructions of the bartender, James. Let me say that was one of the best mac and cheeses that I have ever had. Truly amazing creamy texture and full of rich flavor. Everything melted in your mouth. Definitely worth it. I eventually ended up talking to a fellow bar sitter, and he ended up being the co-owner of the place, TJ. He also filled me in on the places to go and, most definitely, the places to travel to, to experience great beer. He was refreshing to talk to since most people don't have the passion for beer that we both represent. Unfortunately, we weren't able to order food because we had to catch a movie. However, during our visit, we overheard who we believe to be one of the owners (his photos were displayed on the wall) speaking poorly about employees and referring to them as "idiots." That alone was disappointing, but hearing it within earshot of customers felt extremely unprofessional. As a long-time business owner myself, I firmly believe you are only as strong as your team. Respecting employees -- especially publicly -- is critical to a healthy work environment and strong customer experience. It was uncomfortable to witness and ultimately the reason we won't be returning. I genuinely felt sorry for the staff working that shift. Additionally, it appeared that both owners may have been drinking while on shift, which also felt unprofessional. One of them did approach us and seemed very sweet, but after overhearing the earlier comments, it unfortunately changed the entire atmosphere for us. The overall ambiance was decent, and Alex did a great job. It's just disappointing when leadership undermines what could otherwise be a positive experience.
