For me, as a vegan, the G.Enchilada did excellent in providing a unique, tasty, and nourishing dinner meal in the Tofu Veg-Out Burrito, made as a bowl, for my additional gluten free needs! The way they made the brown rice n Spanish rice mix, upon request, as a bed for the great mix of cooked, raw, and spiced and refried vegan beans, was both yummy AND tasty, w/a touch of pride on the delivery and care for making good food for people, here! I'm sure I'd enjoy bringing my local friends who are Omni and Carni here, also, and Vegan and Gluten free folks will be cared for and cherished along w/all others. Fun, heathy, and filling meal, in a cool, relaxed neighborhood. I'll be back when I have room for that delicious sounding rice pudding, in Almond Base, and look forward to being served by this great establishment w/great service, to boot!

Exterior of their soft reopening, Sunday, May 28, 2023 - congratulations!!!

A new DINING room!!! This adds a next level for THE GREEN ENCHILADA (TGE) in Manor Plaza. If it's been awhile, go by and try out the dining room. There are still a few tables outside too. The kitchen now has its own dedicated space. TGE has always been my go-to place for tasty clean, organic Mexican-Peruvian burritos, tacos, enchiladas and more. One of my favs is their LOMO SALTADO w/BROWN RICE. Very grateful they can do TOFU in any taco, burrito, enchilada. And yes, I've done a TOFU LOMO SALTADO! There are breakfast options to check out as well. Service is always friendly, helpful, and, today, Michael took my order and filled me in on all the lovely changes that's evolved with TGE! Ordered: FAJITA BURRITO w/GRILLED CHICKEN, FAJITA VEGGIES, brown rice, black beans, pico de gallo. I'm happy with adding salsa verde bite for bite, and usually eschew the popular guacamole, sour cream. CHICKEN TAMALE. Beautifully wrapped in corn husk and steamed. The tamale was a very generous size, chicken almost dry, masa was unusually dense. Wondered if the latter two was the avoidance of lard and use of chicken breast in its recipe. This would make for a healthier tamale but more dense and bit drier. I'd order it again. I like picking at the steamed masa. AQUADITO. Aguadito de Pollo is a Peruvian Chicken Soup. Soup is a broth of cilantro, spices, hot pepper and simmered with chicken and rice. Loved the delicate flavors of the soup and the Use of chicken bone-in means a more nourishing broth. Perfect for our cold weather right now. I'll be back to try their other soups, CHICKEN POZOLE, SANCOCHADO (beef soup). As well as my fav, LOMO SALTADO, as well as their burritos, tacos, and enchiladas. And their famous Peruvian-style ROTISSERIE CHICKEN. See you there!

The Green Enchilada has artwork in their hallway calling themselves "Inkazteka" which is a clever nod to their offerings of both Peruvian and Mexican food. Their menu leans more heavily towards Mexican food but their lomo saltado (and pollo saltado) more than a make up for it. While so many more purely Peruvian places cut corners by using frozen fries, Green Enchilada makes in house fresh hand cut fries. That's a bonus there. The fact that they are perfectly fried though, completely makes the dish a standout for me. My mom ordered the aguadito soup, which she loved as well. If you want wide variety of Peruvian food, this is not the place. But if you want a lomo saltado with fantastic home made fries, this spot nails it!

Wanted to grab something quick and yet good. We ordered: Carne Asada and hubby ordered: steak taco meal. I also ordered a drink, guava juice. Our meal was very good. Not salty at all. The guava juice was so fresh and good. I would definitely come back again and try something different. Our server was super awesome too. And there was plenty of parking at this little mall which is a plus.

Background

Food: the soup is decent, but I like the ship the most. Their ships are bake and crispy. The green sauce also good. Service: their service is excellent. Server always ask what do we need and they bring everything we ask with a smile. I love their service worthy of tips. Ambiance: very Maxican atmosphere. Chill and vibing.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner in the new dining room area! Food was excellent as ever! We ordered at the counter and then picked our seats. There was a table near us with a large party who had reserved their space, so that's an option to note. In that case, orders were taken at the table. Casual atmosphere, offered complimentary chips and salsa while we waited. Food came out with very little wait. Space is super clean and nicely decorated. Chairs are metal with no padding, so if you have a delicate hiney, keep that in mind ;) The staff and owner were super attentive and excited to talk about the addition of new Peruvian dishes in the coming days. So fun to see the excitement in the dining room from staff and patrons alike. We will be going back soon to try all the new additions to the menu. Excellent job! And congratulations to a lovely expansion!

It was a cold, rainy day so I ordered their seasonal bowl of authentic pozole that came with freshly heated corn tortillas, a side of herbs if desired, and tortilla chips. it was fresh, hearty, and very good with plenty of chicken. They had a variety of foods on the menu and a nice dining environment.

Breakfast Burrito wet style with green sauce.

We shared the wet style breakfast burrito. It was a huge portion with fresh ingredients. I liked how they chopped up fried eggs instead of scrambled as well as the crispy potatoes. Sauce went perfect with it. Service was great, friendly and attentive staff. They've remodeled since we were last here and I really like what they've done with the place. A nice dining hall with plenty of space.

Whenever I'm in Pacifica visiting friends, we most often include a meal from here. Everything I've eaten looks great and tastes even better! I'm so happy they were able to expand and now have seating. Congratulations!

If you're craving real Mexican food that tastes like it came straight from a family kitchen, this place is a must. The atmosphere is casual but full of life--bright colors, great music, and the smell of fresh tortillas as soon as you walk in. My friends and I came here on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were genuinely friendly and patient. Prices are fair for the quality, and the portions are generous enough that you'll probably leave with leftovers.

Visited the Green Enchilada again and was very pleased with my return. The server Micheal was very helpful and professional. My family loves to eat at the Green Enchilada. Try it and you'll see why we return again and again. Really delicious, high quality food that is always tasty. Their special of the day was Chicken Pozole and it tasted like how it should be - homemade and fresh.

Kudos to Eddie (the coffee roaster!) for all the hard work he's poured into making this business a cornerstone of Pacifica. That being said, I'll offer some tips: - Parking is crazy here if you arrive anytime after 10am on a weekend. You're competing with grocery outlet shoppers, surfers and people who want free parking to go to the beach - the wait can be really long on the weekend so ordering online helps, although they make the drinks on the spot so you will need to wait for that Personal recommendations! - the cliff side and Cubano are my go to drinks! - their Lox toast is legit! I've been to so many places to try their lox and this seriously is the best - it's loaded with lox and it is so flavorful. The salad dressing they use on their mixed greens is citrusy and is a perfect complement to the field greens

The BREAD is SO GOOD. Crispy, chewy, and toasted to perfection! -Shrimp and Pork Spring Rolls: comes with three large spring rolls! Love how it's made to order so it tastes super fresh. They could work on their peanut sauce to make it taste more authentic and less "pasty" or thick. Otherwise, really yummy! Only downside to this place is the prices...$13.75 for spring rolls is a bit expensive and $19 for the sandwich is also pretty pricey. The sandwiches were pretty good, but on the small side for the price. I guess I'm used to $6 Bahn Mi out in San Jose. Of the three we tried, I surprisingly liked the portobello mushroom sandwich the best. The mushrooms had a ton of flavor. I wasn't too keen on the Special. Maybe it was the pork loaf. Not a fan. The spring rolls were also pretty average. Without the peanut sauce, it had very little to no flavor for me. There are tons of Banh Mi places in San Jose, so I've had a lot to compare these too. These were okay, but definitely not my favorite.

This restaurant is right off the Skykine blvd and the starting point of entering Pacifica where if you keep going you will hit the ocean and be one with the sunset. We had heard such great things about Hula Hoops and were excited to come for Mother's Day brunch. When we arrived Sunday morning, we were seated right away, which was great. However, our party of six was seated with only three food menus and five drink menus. I asked our waitress if we could get additional menus for the rest of the table, and she explained they had run out and were waiting for other guests to finish with theirs. We ended up asking if there was a QR code version we could scan, and she brought one over. I was mostly confused why the QR code wasn't offered immediately, knowing half the table didn't have menus to begin with. It just made the start of the experience feel a little disorganized. That said, there were definitely some positives. The sparkling cider for Mother's Day brunch was a really nice touch, and the Shanghai lumpia was fantastic. I ordered the two-protein silog breakfast with eggs, and while the flavors were good, the single scoop of rice just didn't feel proportionate to the rest of the plate. Any Filipino knows you need a little more rice to balance everything out, so I ended up not finishing my meal because it felt off portion-wise. My son ordered the cheese omelet and said it wasn't his favorite, especially the potatoes. The ube waffles were really yummy though, and my husband enjoyed the sisig tater tots. Overall, I'm glad we finally got to try Hula Hoops after hearing so many good things, but unfortunately it didn't quite live up to the hype for us, and I don't think we'd return.

It takes a little bit of time for the food to be prepared and ready but in the mean time you can always take pictures with their various photo ops (such as the dino eating Putin and King Neptune on the roof) there or go into their anti- animal cruelty gas station shop. There's a couple small picnic table seating outside, but it was raining at the time and already some people there so decided to take our food to go. Definitely do need a table to eat the food since it's a lot to share though or at least be careful if you're eating it in a car. We got the: 1) Mobba'q Spaghetti: -This is their impossible spaghetti with impossible ground beef meat and a hint of bbq sauce. -Reminds me of sweet Filipino spaghetti from Jollibee's but of course vegan and you get more spaghetti and not as drowned in sauce, which is a good thing. As a simple spaghetti enjoyer, this was probably my favorite dish of what we ordered. 2) Louisiana Fried Chicken Plate: -We can choose up to 3 sides and we got the Southern style collard greens (hey, my beardie eats this), smackeroni (mac n cheese, contains gluten, but soy free), and potato salad (contains soy, but is gluten free). -You get a HUGE amount of sides. You can probably get full on the sides by themselves. They do NOT skimp out on the portions. -Delicious mac n cheese. Sauce is a bit more "fluid" and gooey and less dense and cheesy which makes it much easier to eat. Solid potato salad with the perfect sour and creamy taste. Big chunks of potatoes and other veggies in included. -You get several HUGE pieces of their Louisiana fried chicken. No bones since it's vegan so another plus for me. Nice and crispy on the outside and not too dry on the inside. Super dense protein bits that go great with their sauce. Definitely can get full from this and it's easily shareable. 3) Vegan Rib Tips: -It has like that Asian pork floss texture but super condensed and obviously vegan. -Went great with their bbq sauce, completely different texture but a delicious protein snack on the side. We went on Yelp and searched for Vegan food and found this interesting food truck with great reviews. We were excited as this truck was parked in a gas station with a vegan yes completely vegan food mart and a giant statue of a rooster outside. This was the most fun part of this experience. The prices on the food truck did not match what the young lady - new employee " I'm sorry I don't know this is my 6th day" - rang up ( $1.60 more per item). When I asked her and her colleague( Caucasian lady about 5 ft 4 inches tall), the latter just shrugged her shoulders, walked out of the truck and passed us without responding on her way to the gas station rest room where she stayed for the next 12 minutes( till we left. I asked our first contact about the hours posted on the sign on the truck as in open for breakfast and she stated nope, maybe 11 or so. It was sad because the new employee was trying so hard to push the taco meal deal combo for an additional $11 on us. The tacos had two tiny pieces of soy. ( photo). We got the food to go and unwrapped everything at the hotel. The burrito was not bad. We were starving and just woofed it down. I was tempted to call the number on the side of the truck and run a check on the owner who has a different truck in San Francisco but decided against it. Sometimes you just got to let it go.
