I went to lunch here with a friend. Its a nice hidden spot in Pikesville. Walking in put me mind of a mobster film lining the wall. The decor was great. The atmosphere was relaxed. The staff greeted and was very attentive. We ordered 2 veggie slices and a caesar salad. The pizza slices were nice, large, and delicious. There was no complaint on the salad either. Really good eat in/carry out/delivery option in Owings mills. This is kinda of hidden but close to the Ruth Chris Steakhouse once you find it youll remembers. I had a chance to try most of the menu and can say I didnt have a miss, each pizza option was tasty, the subs where all great, as well as the pastas and salads. The space is nice and big and even though It got busy why I was eating nothing felt crowded and the food came out in good time. This is a nice casual option to eat in or even pick up. The dough is amazing and fresh--Crispy perfection . Vegetables were fresh (only tiny gripe is that I wish the veggies were sliced smaller). Marinara is even tasty. Being a vegetarian I' be asked for a plain hot vegetable sub, its not like they don't have the ingredients/ vegetables there, other Ialitian restaurants are willing to accommodate. We have a dinner group that meets every other month, and we like to go to places that are BYOB and will give us separate checks by couple. The Good Guys of NY Pizza Kitchen fit the bill perfectly. They very kindly reserved a table of 6 for us. This is a place where you place your order at the counter and then they bring you your food. They have a lot of table seating as well as booths. The restaurant was full when we arrived and had a lively vibe going. It quieted down after some of the tables in our section left. The menu is quite extensive - there is something for everyone here. We enjoyed the following: 6 Garlic Knots served with tomato sauce, Chicken Francese with spaghetti (which was a special that evening), Spaghetti Mama with meat sauce, the Perfect Baked Ziti, Eggplant Parmigiana, 2 Steak Hoagies - one with fries and one with a Caesar salad, and one side house salad. The pasta dishes were all served with a slice of garlic bread. The portions were very generous, and the food was freshly prepared with quality ingredients. when I first went to this place when it opened, it was called the wise guys, and I enjoyed their food during the pandemic. I have had multiple instances of disrespectful treatment from the staff to the point where I told myself that I would never return. However, this past weekend, I didn't feel like going out to my normal pizza place that was further away, so I just decided to come in here for a slice of the barbecue chicken pizza because I used to like it in the past when I slice it was was actually a black bubble on the top and the was dark brown and when I touched it with my fingers, it was hard extremely hard that I couldn't bite into it and so before I left the store, I asked the lady kindly and calmly. Is it possible if I could get a different slice because it is overcooked and she said that's just the way the pizza is and she told me no and I was trying to explain to her that how can I eat a burnt pizza and she said that's just the way it is but that's not true because I've had it before and if the standard is burnt pizza, then that's another problem. So I left the store and when I did, I talk to a and then she tried to be nice and say well you can get a refund, but why wasn't that an option originally. Nevertheless, this is my final confirmation, no matter how hungry I am it's not worth the unfair disrespectful treatment. I have reached out to this establishment and left countless reviews. I've tried the pizza w/ and without toppings, tuna melt, and fries. I've ordered both pickup and delivery via door dash. The quality has been the same using both methods. The cheese pizza is one of the best slices I've ever had. I did not enjoy the pepperoni and sausage toppings as much much as the plain cheese. Love their food, it is so delicious and made from scratch to order. Their steak subs are delicious and the original cheesesteak is made similar to an original Philadelphia cheesesteak. The eggplant parmigiana is amazing, flavorful, and huge. In fact, all of their pasta dishes and house specials are huge and heavy and usually more than one meal. Their garlic bread is good and tasty and usually lightly golden brown. They are also very fast with their preparation. I have never eaten in the restaurant, only have gotten carryout and the order was ready when I arrived and was piping hot, so I knew that it wasn't sitting around for a while. So the outer appearance of the building is pretty nice. I love the signage. It's very nice to have something to the closer carry out vibe here in grey rock. I've been back multiple time's so there must be some good here right? Appearance: clean! And new. The booths are spaced out enough to still feel private. All staff were in a black. There is a lack of a space for people to wait for carry out so it leads to random people standing around and when knew customers come in they have to constantly repeat " o I'm not in line" Staff: every time I came the employees were nice. One time I was left in good by mistake and had to call back. But the gentleman apologized. They seem to really appreciate your business. Food: The Subs were great. So far I had the steak hoagie, Italian stallion, and the Italian sausage sub. The Italian sausage wasn't what I was expecting but it was edible. The bread is moist and delicious. They have pizza by the slice and whole pizzas. Every whole pizza I had was really good but the sliced pizza is the reason Wise Guys isn't perfect. The pizza is in a glass container near the register and doesn't look really appetizing. There is obviously no heating element. Then they take this pizza that looks like it's been sitting there for hours and heat it in the oven. The result is dried out pizza and that was with every kind I had. It's really unfortunate.
