I definitely would come back to try more of their pizza. I got the philly cheesesteak and I really didn't like it - the steak was dry and the melted cheese was only on top and not incorporated in the sandwich. I'm always looking for some good pizza. Had this place on my radar for a while and finally gave it a go. I mainly went for the spaghetti pizza. The pictures looked intriguing to me and I had to try. I'm on a pizza quest to find the best pizza and although I've been to Pasta Mista a few times, I had forgotten how good their pie is. This pizza is excellent. It's not the best pizza I've had but it ranks high on my list. Lastly, pizza comes in many varieties and styles, Mista is NY style with decent crust but a tad floppy. Good pizza by the slice. Was waiting for my daughter and saw that Pasta Miata sells pizza by the slice. I wasn't super hungry so a slice is all I needed. It wasn't crowded and they have the pizza already ready. You pick out the slice you want and they reheat it in the pizza oven. Hopefully it doesn't sit out all day. Ok, Ive been here many times. I love the pizza but today I changed and got an Italian sub. Let's say this is a big let down. The cold cuts are the consistency of prepackaged meat from the grocery store. I asked to add mayo/oil vinegar. Only had Mayo...if you dont autonaticly add toppings they could have asked if I wanted anything on my sub. The bread was good had a nice crunch. Today I went into Pasta Mista at 11:15 doors open - but was told we are not open for 15 minutes. Ok no problem- but when I went back for my pizza I had to wait 25 minutes! I would think that a fast food restaurant should have been more prepared for opening. Very disappointing I had to wait while they made multiple pizzas. If I had ordered a slice- I would have been in and out. I had three customers come in were given their drinks and slices while I felt totally ignored! Going to be awhile before I go back! I've been here a handful of times and I feel confident about writing a review. It's only based on pizza and fries. I've had the veggie pizza, cheese pizza, and fries. The cheese pie is consistently good. I will say if you get 3-4 slices of pizza that will run you about $12-$16 bucks and for that price you might as well order a whole pizza. The veggie slice I had was ok. It had diced tomatoes, broccoli, and spinach. It wasn't bad but I don't think I will get it again. I could've done without the diced tomatoes and spinach. It was a little on the bland side for me and I think onions and mushrooms would've given it a better taste and texture. Overall good food and customer service! read more

My in-laws have a nose for sniffing out local pizza places. That's like their super power. They showed up for a visit once bearing Pasta Mista. My kids enjoyed it enough that when our normal go-to pizza place shut down, I decided to incorporate Pasta Mista as part of our pizza rotation. What's good here? The pizza. Pasta Mista serves up gigantic, greasy, New York style pizza. The crust and sauce are well done and they offer a decent amount of toppings. While my kids prefer straight cheese, Pasta Mista offers a variety of meats and veggies and have a whole slew of specialty pies. My kids also enjoy that they make french fries here and I'm a fan of their selling a big ball of dough. That way I can take one home and easily veganize a pizza. So with all this great stuff, why only four stars? Unfortunately the pasta that we've tried just hasn't been a hit. My wife is a huge gnocchi fan, so I ordered her pesto gnocchi. The pesto sauce is creamy and rich. It was too much for my wife who prefers a more traditional pesto sauce. I was traveling and looking for a place to get dinner. I turned to Yelp for help as I always do and this caught my attention. I placed my order and took it to my hotel. The stuffed shells with ricotta and parm were delicious and filling. I also ordered an appetizer of meatballs since I wasn't sure how large the shells would be. Turns out it was more than enough. The sauces, while both tomato based had different delicious flavors. If I'm in the area again I would return to try other dishes. The shop is in a upscale strip of shops and parking was difficult. For lunch, Pasta Mista is well worth a stop; great looking pizza is available and a wide range of pastas. I chose the baked ziti, and it was more than I could eat. For a bit, I wondered if I'd made a bad choice as it seemed to take a while, but when I looked back through the kitchen and saw they were boiling my pasta for the dish rather than scooping from a pre-prepared batch, I knew the extra time was worth it. Looks like new management at the Towson location. I had a craving for a cheese steak sub today. The last one that I had was over six years ago and that sub was from this Pasta Mista location. Six years ago the bread and the seasoning were amazing. HOWEVER, what I received today was not the zesty delicious cheese steak sub that I enjoyed from this establishment years ago. I was on a quest to find NY style pizza around the Metropolitan Baltimore area. The greatest challenge with NY style pizza and the secret ingredient is the water itself, so to find something remotely similar is and will always be a challenge. I decided to try this place located in a shopping center across from Towson Town Center. I ordered a pie with half cheese and pepperoni. Nicely smoked pepperoni and cheese was a nice texture with an equal balance of sauce. The crust has a hint of sweetness as well. The food is amazing- their meatballs are great in their subs and with the spaghetti. BUT I only wish they wouldn't have added the counter tip screen when you pick up the food to sign. It's a little uncomfortable when they whip it around for you to sign and give them a tip with the counter person watching you. I think a lot of businesses don't realize that they will be losing carryout business because of this new trend. I know staff needs to be paid but why is it pre-set to give high tips (17%) just for ringing up the food. I've been avoiding places with the "counter tips." Great! This was my first visit and It was a little confusing initially walking in with the three different lines, but once you figure out it's super easy to pick up your food or order your food. They no longer have individual slices of pizza so you do have to order an entire pizza. I ordered a sub and the bread was super fresh and all of the sandwich ingredients were delicious!
