I walked in and it was packed with so many people that I wanted to walk out but I stayed on line. The service was not quick and not slow. There are a few seats but you're better off getting your food to go. The veggie pizza was delicious and they sell pizza slices and whole pizzas. The prices are pretty high but kind of worth it. There's not a lot of parking for the customer volume but Popeyes next door has parking. They take cash and card.

I'd heard a lot about Franks recently and wanted to give them a try. I ordered the sandwich via a delivery app. It came well packaged and hot. I enjoyed the flavor and texture of the seeded roll. The sub was full to the brim with meat. I wished the filing had more salt and pepper but the cooper sharp did add a nice flavor.

Mission accomplished! First visit called for their famous cheesesteak subs! Three of us ordered and savored. One of us said they liked real mozzarella cheesesteak subs. Some may like it better than Frank's Cheese Au Jus. I liked it just great, with nearly 20 minutes to wait as most customers wanted cheesesteaks. Funny, considering Portnoy was big on their pizza, which will be me next item to try next visit! Ambiance? Well worn and comfortable. Great to finally get in and enjoy this greatness as the "One Bite" greatness lives on. Try !

I've heard great things about Frank's. We stopped in on a weekday while in the area. It's a small spot in a little plaza. You order at the counter and there is a small amount of seating at the front and at the back of the restaurant if you want to eat in. We went at non-peak time; there was still a bit of a line for takeout and some people eating inside, but the line went quickly and there were awesome staff at the counter and in the dining area to clean tables and make sure orders were taken quickly. We decided to try a small pizza with mushrooms and sausage. It came out hot and fresh. With my first bite, I nodded at my bf with enthusiastic happiness. This pizza is the best I've had since moving to Baltimore, and in the top 5 of pizzas I've had overall. The cheese was good quality and perfectly melty, the sauce was a great ratio on the pizza and had a great flavor, the toppings were generous and good, and the crust was delish. Overall, Frank's is worth the hype I've heard! I've heard their cheesesteaks are great also and saw another customer was eating and can't wait to go back and try that!

My aunt and I decided to try Frank's Pizza and Pasta and they did not disappoint! My aunt ordered the steak and cheese, and you could instantly tell they used a high-quality cut of steak--it was packed with flavor. I went for the Honey Boo Detroit-style pizza and also tried the Buffalo Chicken Pinwheel. Both were absolutely delicious--fresh, cheesy, and full of flavor. The spot itself is on the smaller side, but there is seating available. Since they tend to get busy, I recommend going right when they open for the best experience. The customer service was also excellent--the staff was friendly, welcoming, and gave us great recommendations on what to try. If you're looking for fresh pizza, amazing cheesy goodness, and a place that truly takes pride in their food, this is definitely the spot. I'll definitely be visiting again!

Second time visiting Frank's, and what a difference this time from the perspective of how busy they were. Seems the trick is to order between lunch and dinner and weekdays have much less wait than weekends. The last time I ordered it was a two hour lead time, this time about 35 minutes. Smaller spot with limited seating and located in a strip mall so nothing fancy. It seems they're constantly busy for pick up/takeout First visit, we ordered a 12 inch pepperoni, sausage pizza and really enjoyed it. It's more of a lighter/thinner crust and closer to New York style with just the right balance of toppings and sauce. Second visit, we ordered a bit more for sharing and tried a few of the other pizzas. White pizza was a hit & we added basil which paired well with this no sauce pie. Another pizza that we enjoyed was the Mediterranean-we added black olives and ground beef just to add more protein and really were impressed with this pie-mostly because we haven't been able to find a proper pesto sauce Pizza and this definitely was the one. We also tried the Gino -Detroit style pizza with pepperoni, sausage and it was tasty given the crispy crust edges and spicy cup pepperoni. Last but not least we got a 12" cheesesteak since we heard so much about this sandwich. Solid seasoned steak and the portions were generous-took a double take at the $20 price but this is a two person Sub. If you order online, have your number ready for pickup. Both visits, It's been quite chaotic, again, second time less given around 4 pm. Service has been friendly and quick but would advise paying attention to the lead time for your order which is shown on their website. Solid spot for tasty pizza and cheesesteak -we will be back!

Delicious pizza, lowkey better than L'industrie (for those in NYC who've tried). The owner is so sweet and genuine. He loves to talk about his food and it is really all just amazing. Ordered their cheesesteak, which was so flavorful and not dry AT ALL. The wait was like an hour though, worth every minute!! Also got the regular cheese pizza and the burrata one. I freaking loved the burrata pizza with pepperoni, basil, and hot honey. The crust was so crispy and tasty. The tomato sauce is so fresh and goes so well. Balanced pizza slice with the perfect flavors in my opinion. Don't be scared by the lines inside; most are for takeout. I will be back to conquer more of their menu....

TLDR: Came to Frank's after getting the nod from Dave Portnoy. Place is always busy so be prepared to wait. Apps were solid (buff chicken pinwheels + calamari), but the pizza fell short of the hype by being floppy and somewhat undercooked. Hit up Frank's Pizza & Pasta on a Thursday night and the Portnoy effect is real. The place was slammed from the time I got there around 4pm until I left. I managed to snag a small 2 top while my dining buddy ordered. Staff was super up front about the kitchen being backed up (45 min wait), which I appreciated. We weren't in a rush, so all good. We kicked things off with the buffalo chicken pinwheels, which may be one of the best things on their menu. Huge popover style buns overfilled with buffalo chicken, sauce, and bleu cheese. The calamari was another win. Lightly fried, not greasy, and came with a great marinara for dipping. Perfect apps to hold us over. Now for the main event, the pizza. We split a medium eggplant parm pie, which sounded amazing on paper. Unfortunately, this one just missed it's mark. Even though I asked for it well-done, it came out super floppy and messy. We tried letting it cool hoping to crisp up, but no luck. Needed a fork and knife for most slices, and the eggplant was kind of sparse. Flavor-wise it was fine, but not the level of execution I expected from such a raving review from One Bite. To be fair, the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed, and I get that this kind of sudden fame most kitchens are not staffed or equipped to handle. Overall, was satisfied with the meal and I will definitely give them another chance, however they are not even in the same conversation as some of the pies I have tried in Brooklyn and New Haven with similar One Bite Scores.

Dave was right. This was a matter of thorough discussion with Jeremy before we went to Frank's. If you follow Mr. One-Bite, you may have seen that he gave both Pizza John's in Essex, and Rocco's in Glen Burnie high marks. Jeremy and I hated both (Rocco's pizza was burnt, Pizza John's is highly over-rated), so Jeremy refused to respect that Dave gave Frank's high marks for both the pizza and the cheesesteak. The restaurant was crowded when we arrived, and we had to ask a regular how to go about ordering. You order at the counter and they give you a number, which they will call out when your food is ready. You seat yourself. Although the front door was open, it was super warm in the restaurant, which makes sense considering the pizza oven never gets a break. We got a plain cheese pizza, wings, and a cheesesteak. The pizza was incredible; the crust is impossibly thin, yet remains straight when you fold it. Not greasy at all, and flavorful. I could have probably eaten the entire pie myself. I had two slices while in the restaurant, and another later at home, room-temperature and still perfection. The wings were good, but not stand-out. The cheesesteak (grilled onions and cooper sharp)... I'm sad that Frank's is in Overlea and not in my town. Or maybe that's for the best, because I'd eat them all the time. The best cheesesteak that we've eaten outside of Philly. Service is a little spotty. I can understand that it gets confusing when so many orders are coming in all the time, but we dined with a friend, who ordered a stromboli but Jeremy and I were halfway done eating and our friend's food hadn't arrived, so he asked them to box his stromboli. He watched the employee box it, and then she disappeared. It took asking three more employees before they could find it because they had labeled it as for Clark. Our friend is not named Clark. And when we asked for boxes for the remainder of our sandwich and pizza, the employee only brought one box for the sandwich. The three remaining slices of pizza wouldn't fit in the box, and the employee seemed slightly annoyed when we asked for another box. Again, I can understand that the dinner rush must get overwhelming and tiresome, so we just shrugged it off. I would definitely order from Frank's again. I don't think I would dine in again, though. Simply because the warmth of the restaurant and the small size of the dining area. I'm definitely going to need another one of those cheesesteaks. And a customer who told me that she has been ordering from Frank's for over 30 years highly recommended the pizza (they have it by the slice, too, by the way) with the eggplant and I adore eggplant. Would recommend

Franks was a delicious experience from start to finish. It's a cozy, family owned spot where the service feels genuine and welcoming. The atmosphere has that nostalgic old school pizza shop charm but with a bit more personality and heart. The cheesesteak on a seeded roll with Cooper Sharp was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The pizza was phenomenal crispy, cheesy, and clearly made with care. The Tuesday deal of two pies for $22 is a steal and a great way to sample more of the menu. It's a bit of a drive for me, but parking was easy and stress-free. I'll definitely be back.

We came with a friend to Frank's Pizza and Pasta. Now, we came from Southwest B-more so we were like, "the food better be good!" We arrived and it was a small place with limited seating. We chose a cramped booth in the back, surrounded by empty, ready for takeout, pizza boxes. We placed our order (cheesesteak sub, chicken parm sub, and pepperoni pizza) at the counter and sat back in our booth waiting for it to be prepared. We were called when our order was ready and got our food and came back to the booth to eat. I asked for my sub on a seeded roll, which didn't do anything special for it flavor-wise. The steak filling was massive and we could only image what the double meat would have been like. The taste was good with a nice helping of Cooper cheddar cheese to give the sub the depth of flavor that was needed. Not half bad. The chicken parm sub, was massive drenched in a red sauce and lined with meaty cheese on a decent roll. It was good. The pepperoni pizza arrived piping hot. To avoid "roof of the mouth with hanging skin" we waiting a minute for things to cool down and then got into the pizza....nice fermented dough flavor with a smooth red sauce and pepperoni that were not overly salty...nice pizza. All in all, a great place to get a cheesesteak sub, chicken parm sub, and pepperoni pizza, but we definitely need to come back to try out more of the menu items.

I have been waiting to try Frank's for a long time and even made a Partiful invitation for this event with my friends. The menu looked amazing and even the pictures online looked impeccable. We cultivated the perfect order for our pizza party and we were SO HUNGRY AND EXCITED!!! Until... we ordered delivery and the estimated time of arrival was in FOUR HOURS from the time of order. HUH???!! I get that it was the weekend, but four hours is absolutely insane. We then tried to call the restaurant to switch it to pick-up or at least determine if that would be faster and we were on hold for over 25 minutes so ended up just hanging up because it was clear no one was answering. It's also safe to say that all of our food was cold by the time it finally arrived to our house. In regards to the food: the garlic bread was pretty average. The meatballs were a flavorful, juicy, and the red sauce had a really nice spicy kick to it. The cheesesteak was actually really good-- probably one of my favorite things. The bread was soft, but crunchy, and the meat to cheese ratio was perfect for my personal preference (70/30 meat/cheese). As stated, the food was cold so we had to reheat everything. The Margherita pizza was my favorite out of the two. I enjoyed the red sauce and the crust, which was super crisp and held up well under the toppings. The big mama burrata was wayyyy too sweet of a sauce for me personally, but my friends loved it so I would recommend it if you like a Detroit style, sweeter vodka sauce. It was $32 for FOUR SLICES though so that's a little insane (especially because it is mainly bread). Anyways, it seems like my partiful invite for this was not worth it because my friends and I were pretty disappointed overall. It did not help that our experience started four hours after we ordered. Probably would not try again.

I was hoping to park on the street to run in but ended up driving around for 10+ minutes before ending up in the lot. Turns out my parking was free so it worked out just fine. Parking anywhere downtown especially the inner harbor on the street is very limited; and the parking garages are insane at times. I found parking and made way to this establishment at the Power Plant. There was a Flippino festival going on at Power Plant as well. When we entered the establishment, we were immediately seated. Seating is only at high tops or the bar. We started off with a couple drinks, old bay wings and cheesesteak sliders. The drinks were ok, not 5 star rating. The cheesesteak sliders were okay as well. We ordered Old bay fries which came out great. After digesting the wings, sliders and fries we ordered the Peppers and Onions pizza with added spinach. The pizza came out very light. Ive had this pizza previously and it was toasted and not doughy. There was very little cheese. The pizza disappointed. So after all, I was very disappointed with the choice of this establishment today. Absolutely nothing but the friendly attentive staff was a plus. The staff were beyond attentive. It could be a bad day but definitely not good since I havent been here in about 3 plus years. The prices has increased tremendously as well. I wouldnt say not to go but based on today, I would be skeptical to return again for myself in the future.
