Tried them out for the first time tonight. Hubby wanted a cheesesteak and i wanted pizza. The chicken Parmesan pizza is phenomenal! Very unique and has excellent flavor. Even the crust was delicious. Cheesesteak very good as well. This is a to-go restaurant only and the staff are nice.

    Calzone

Calzone was delicious and the guy working there was super friendly. Theres a lot of other pizza places in the area but for the price, quality, and service i definitely need to go to Brunos more.

First time visit. Yelpers sold me.

For several decades I've haunted pizza places along the 45. York Rd. Name the place and I've been there. Including joints that no longer exist: Kosmakos, Pizza Palace, Shakey's, Pappy's, Village Sub, Angelo's, Pisa, Deano's and even Towson Delly North when it was at Cranbrook. Enter Bruno's. Opened as IG to little acclaim considering the anchor has been pleasing Towsonites for decades. I've read reviews for Bruno's on this platform for a good while and last night I bit. I stopped by after a visit to my happy place a few blocks north. I decided immediately I was going to go for a 20" pizza. I believe the largest pie elsewhere is 18". And I'm not referring to Costco although their pies are 18". I ordered the Meat Lovers courtesy of the very friendly lady at the counter. She did say it would take about 20 minutes to prepare. No problem. After 20 minutes, the lady walked from the back and handed the pie to me. Who does that anymore? That's a special touch. Getting home I saw "abbodanza" that would make Mama Celeste blush. The toppings of cheese and assortment of meats were dense and bountiful. My son's eyeballs nearly popped from his head when he saw the 20" box! And, this pie was among the best I've had in years! And leftovers will be handled over a few days. For $22.99 plus tax and tip, this deal is unbelievable. What's next for me from Bruno's? Cheesesteak! Can't wait. And you shouldn't either. Go.

My new favorite pizza spot. Too bad it's not down the street or else I'd be there every week. They have a couple of tables and chairs inside but this is a takeout joint located in a shopping center on a busy section of York Road in Cockeysville. The cashier was really nice and let me customize my order without umbrage. I had the meat lovers pie and substituted mushrooms for ham. The presentation was artistic. Meat was piled high as if it came from Queens or Brooklyn although the crust is certainly not New York style. Of course, I copped the garlic knots. Could use more garlic in my opinion but still a worthy addition. Even the buffalo wings were superior. Glad to add this establishment to my bookmarks.

We met friends for dinner on a Saturday evening. First, we like BYOB with no corkage fee. They were very busy, so we were glad that we came a little early so that we only had to wait a few minutes to secure a booth. My husband and I split a Prosciutto & Mozzarella Classic 10 inch N.Y. Sub, which was loaded with thinly sliced Italian prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, mayo spread, and a drizzle of balsamic with a side order of French fries. This is truly a sub full of flavor. Our friend started off with an Arancino. If you are wondering what an Arancino is, it is an iconic Sicilian rice ball, typically stuffed, breaded, and deep-fried to a golden crisp that has been around since the 10th century. Here at Tony's, they are a flash fried rice ball, stuffed with ground beef, peas and mozzarella with tomato sauce on the side. He also had a Stromboli (a pizza dough stuffed and rolled with pepperoni, sausage, ham, fried onions, green peppers, pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese.) His wife enjoyed the Eggplant Parmesan (three pan-fried Italian eggplant pieces covered with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, baked to perfection, served with spaghetti.) Both dishes were generous in size. We all thoroughly enjoyed being transported to Italy this evening.

Butter chicken (Chicken Makhani): tender Chicken Cooked in a Creamy, Buttery Tomato Gravy with Mild Spices. Butter Chicken Pizza: A Rich and Savory Fusion Topped with Creamy Butter Chicken, Mozzarella Cheese and a Hint of Indian Spices on a Golden Baked Crust. $16.99+ --- WOW!!! just amazing. Great, crisp crust. Tender Chicken. A side cup of butter chicken sauce. This is the item that won my heart. Tandoori Shrimp: jumbo shrimps marinated with yogurt, ginger, garlic & Indian spice $18.99 --- delicious... we received two mystery sauces: one an herbaceous slightly spicy green, the other a dark purple with a flavor that reminded me of plums or raisins. I don't know if these were meant for the shrimp, but I really liked the flavor combination of the shrimp with the purple sauce. I only got one though, cuz Jeremy housed them before I could snag a second. Tandoori Chicken: Chicken on bone marinated overnight in yogurt & spice roasted in a tandoor a cylindrical oven $13.99 --- best tandoori chicken I have ever had in my life. So tender, not at all dried out, perfect char flavor. White rice spiced white clove.... didn't open them with the meal but looking forward to having them later. A really spectacular meal.
