It was like the bone and meat were never connected, I didn't bother to call or take them back because of the drive to get there. Pasta Blitz/ Margarita's Pizza (or whatever they are calling themselves these days in the Carroll Island Shopping Center) was dethroned today. My parents live in the neighborhood, and whenever there is a birthday, they order pizza or Chinese. After today, I can't imagine that they won't be ordering from Pippo's next birthday. It's a stand-alone building next to Up Her Docks (errr ummm I mean that wretched den of villainy, By the Docks). It's predominately take away, but they do have a couple of tables in a very basic dining room. The menu is what you would expect: pizza, subs, wings but the quality is far superior to what I have previously experienced within the Chase/"Middle River" area. My mom got a garden salad: lettuce, onion, tomato, cucumber... Not much that stood out, but she went on and on about how much she loves salads. She also got the eggplant parm, with spaghetti and garlic bread. It looked good but I was WAY too busy with my onion and bacon pizza. WOW. The crust is light and spongy and I dare you to leave it on your plate after you've eaten the rest of your slice, like you're some kind 3-year-old. I bet a 3-year-old would eat this crust, given a dipping sauce. I don't care what else you were planning on ordering, get a pizza too!! My boyfriend got the 4 wing, 4 mozzarella stick (the cheese pull!!!!) appetizer combo and a cheesesteak with grilled onions and American cheese. The wings were gloriously fried, delivered naked to the table, with the hot sauce and ranch on the side. The meat fell off the bone. The skin was crispy and delicious. My boyfriend said they were the best wings that he has had in a long time. His cheesesteak came on a perfect roll, the cheese melty... we've been to Philly. We've had cheesesteaks all over Baltimore. This one was better than middle of the road, but my boyfriend tends to like his beef a bit more substantial. Once again, we covered the table with food and ALL of it was a taste sensation. Easy ordering process the cheesesteak probably would've been great if it wasn't saturated with pizza sauce which wasn't listed in the ingredients list when I ordered but anyway the sauce turned the bread into a soggy mush, the fries were delightful nice and crispy the way I like them. I just ordered a cheese steak from Pippos like I tty and do every month, and normally they are eatable oh OMG tonight's was horrible . The meat was to thick in some spots and hard to chew the roll was almost felt like it was half raw the tomatoes are cut way to thick the lettuce what there was of it was all wilted with no taste I ordered extra mayo and salt and pepper this time they got the mayo right but again no salt and pepper. This sandwich as a couple in the past was rubby very hard to chew and to wet like it just got out of a steam bath. NEVER AGAIN. This is my first time here, I drove 40 minutes from Arbutus based solely on the picture of lasagna I saw on Yelp! They say its homemade and it looks delicious. Went there last weekend looking for the perfect Italian cold cut. Reviews said good chicken cheese steak, so I ordered a whole chicken cheese steak and a whole italian cold cut. Went to pick them up and they rang up $38! I said that can't be right. He said oh yeah, I rang you up for two cokes on the counter that aren't yours. the balance is $36. The price is outrageous I told him the subs were way expensive. He said I should have ordered 4 halves and I would have gotten 4 more inches. "everybody likes 4 more inches right?" Not funny Now onto the subs. The Italian had very little meat, a very chewy roll and no taste. Not good regardless of the price. The cheesesteak tasted ok. if it were a decent price, I'd give it 3 stars; however, it was so greasy that the role was soaked and fell apart. You basic pizza and sub shop. Has been around for a while and it is good. I usually get a sub, the italian cold cut and cheesesteaks are excellent. Pizza is good too. There is even a little Italian woman in there who reminds me of my Italian aunts, so it must be good! They have daily (Mon-Fri) lunch specials that don't change. Best Philly cheesesteak subs around! Specially if you get the large one. For some reason the bread tastes different to us, the small vs large sub. Not sure if they are different. Both are good but we usually get a large one and split it. They are not stingy with the meat either! Taste fresh and the cheese is always perfectly blended and melted all over the meat, so every bite has some cheesy goodness with it. Their fries are also good, nice and crispy. Every now and then you find a place that "gets it". This is one of those places. Yes, the dining area is tiny, and the pizza can sometimes be a little too greasy for my taste (that actually comes from using a better type of cheese, so it's not a bad thing by any means - it's just that too much grease makes me ill, and dabbing it off with a napkin changes the way it tastes). Everything else can be summed up with one word: extraordinary. There is an authenticity to the italian dishes that you can taste. Especially the Lasanga, which I highly recommend. And the subs are equally as good. My personal favorite is the Pepperoni Pizza Steak Sub. Nobody else can make one as good as Pippos can. They deliver, and it's always fast. I've never had to wait more that a half hour (if even that long) from the time I order until the time they are at my door. read more

We just found this place on the way to Marshy Point park. Just an ordinary looking pizza place but the cheesesteak was great, Philadelphia worthy: lean meat on a fresh crispy roll. Definitely headed back for cheesesteaks and want to try the Italian cold-cut. The chicken parmesan (the meal, not the sandwich) was a slight miss, very good but didn't hit the high note like the cheesesteaks did. Great pizza and fast delivery. Would have been a 5 star review if the guy on the delivery line had basic customer service skills. Hearing "God, I would never pay this much for pizza" in the background of the phone call really doesn't make customers feel like their purchase is worthwhile. He also lacked knowledge of their own promotional offers, stating the "$2 off any large hand tossed pizza" discount expired in 2018. Even though it was posted on their website in October 2019. We were not impressed with the pizza, however the bread was fresh and hot with our sub. The employee who served us only charged us for a large sub, but gave us two smalls because we got the same thing. He offered to cut our pizza slice in half too.
