    Naked wings and mozzarella sticks

Pasta Blitz/ Margarita's Pizza (or whatever they are calling themselves these days in the Carroll Island Shopping Center) was dethroned today. My parents live in the neighborhood, and whenever there is a birthday, they order pizza or Chinese. After today, I can't imagine that they won't be ordering from Pippo's next birthday. It's a stand-alone building next to Up Her Docks (errr ummm I mean that wretched den of villainy, By the Docks). It's predominately take away, but they do have a couple of tables in a very basic dining room. The menu is what you would expect: pizza, subs, wings but the quality is far superior to what I have previously experienced within the Chase/"Middle River" area. My mom got a garden salad: lettuce, onion, tomato, cucumber... Not much that stood out, but she went on and on about how much she loves salads. She also got the eggplant parm, with spaghetti and garlic bread. It looked good but I was WAY too busy with my onion and bacon pizza. WOW. The crust is light and spongy and I dare you to leave it on your plate after you've eaten the rest of your slice, like you're some kind 3-year-old. I bet a 3-year-old would eat this crust, given a dipping sauce. I don't care what else you were planning on ordering, get a pizza too!! My boyfriend got the 4 wing, 4 mozzarella stick (the cheese pull!!!!) appetizer combo and a cheesesteak with grilled onions and American cheese. The wings were gloriously fried, delivered naked to the table, with the hot sauce and ranch on the side. The meat fell off the bone. The skin was crispy and delicious. My boyfriend said they were the best wings that he has had in a long time. His cheesesteak came on a perfect roll, the cheese melty... we've been to Philly. We've had cheesesteaks all over Baltimore. This one was better than middle of the road, but my boyfriend tends to like his beef a bit more substantial. Once again, we covered the table with food and ALL of it was a taste sensation. Would recommend.

Got the pepperoni pizza. Service was fast. Has a carry out area and a few tables for inside dining. Free parking lot out front. Staff was nice. Average price

Easy ordering process the cheesesteak probably would've been great if it wasn't saturated with pizza sauce which wasn't listed in the ingredients list when I ordered but anyway the sauce turned the bread into a soggy mush, the fries were delightful nice and crispy the way I like them. The wings were very small (the size of 2 quarters or less) and greasy.

First seeing the restaurant from the outside, it seems like nothing extraordinary, but once you…read morestep in you're hit with nothing but great smells & smiles on everyone in the restaurant. I had ordered ahead via Toast, grabbing a cheesesteak on a seeded roll with extra meat, onions and a light spread of mayo--assuming the seeded roll would be very crusty & rigid and need the spread to moisten it a bit. I was wrong! The roll housing the fillings was perfectly soft and able to contain all of the meat juices and cheese throughout the sandwich. I got a 9" small with extra meat assuming that's how they're presented on their social media page, and it's more than enough for one person. I'd recommend NOT getting extra meat unless you're coming with a huge appetite! I've never had a proper cheesesteak in my life until today. Truly deserving of the awards they've received. Will be back whenever in the area as a treat; gotta walk this current one off by the waterfront lol Thank you all at Frank's Pizza & Pasta for a great first experience!

I ordered the small cheesesteak, and even though the initial hype has died down a bit, it's still pretty popular because there was still a bit of a wait after ordering. The sub was a nice size, so I have no complaints about the portion. However, I felt like it was missing something when it came to flavor. It wasn't bad, but it just didn't have that extra seasoning or taste I was expecting. For $18 for a small cheesesteak, I was hoping to be wowed but it was just ok. Overall, it's worth trying if you're curious. I look forward to going back and trying their pizza and other menu items.

They were busy behind the counter, or the kitchen area, and it was noisy, lots of cooking tools clanking. I guess this is in response to many take out orders. The dining room is small with a few tables and chairs, it did not take long to fill up. When you enter, they have take out menus with combo specials in the centerfold... some good deals. And over the counter, hung from the ceiling are also specials on a chalk board, which is what we chose from My husband ordered the Italian cold cut sub, no hot meats . This came with a plastic glass for self-serve Coke products. No free refills, though. It was a typical sub, fresh and up to par. I ordered the much praised cheesesteak sub with raw onions and asked them to toast the roll. Our orders took all of 20 min. My sub needed something, I could not figure out exactly what. The sub was barely warm. The meat was good , the red onions were chopped (not many), and the cheese was a scant slice of American at the base of the roll. I was disappointed! Who serves American cheese on a cheese steak sub? The owner said they make it that way unless you specify otherwise (I wish I knew that when ordering). Next time, I have to give it to them. It was overstuffed. They do one heck of a carryout business. The owners were very friendly.

In we go, and there is indeed a pizza/sub/pasta store there in the same building, just to the left as you enter the door. On the counter, there is a list of daily specials (M-F). My friend recommended the Honey Old Bay wings. 8/$9.99, of course I missed the special day! They came out nice and hot, dripping with that honey gooey goodness, and there were 9! The aroma filled my world. Hubby got the standby: Italian cold cub sub, no hots. It was a wet sub from Italian dressing, which was perfect for him. The bread was fresh, probably made in-house. His sub came with a generous amount of French fries. They were the coated ones, and they gave plenty of ketchup packets. Also included was a 20-oz bottled drink. This was the Monday special. A young lady came in and picked up her large cheese pizza while we were waiting for our order. I asked her how the pizzas were, and she said they make really good pizzas here. We are not much in favor of eating in the car or carryout to eat at home, so we opted to eat in the mini-indoor courtyard at Yia Yia's. It was nice. If you have room, loads of desserts a few steps away. And yes, well, be back.
