I love me some pasta, and Carrabba's is one of my go to spots for it. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after church. This location is in the same building as the Outback Steakhouse. You have to go to the left to get to Carrabba's. Once we entered the hostess seated us. The restaurant was notably clean. I couldn't get over how well organized everything was including the bathroom. I ordered a peach sangria, the sausage and lentil soup and the chicken and shrimp carbonara. The drink was tasty. I'm not even big on soup but surprisingly I enjoyed the soup. The pasta was a nice portion and tasty. I mean you can never go wrong with a protein combo. Overall good experience and I will return.

Of course the warm bread with oil and herbs is my favorite!

Service always top tier. I goes here all the time for lunch and love their monthly wind dinners. Restaurant is kinda small but nice and roomy also. Food and wine is always good to me. One day I'm going to try a few cocktails during happy hours

So: I passionately enjoyed my dinner at Mamma Roma. The reason that this is unusual is because I'm…read morenot big on going out for Italian food much at restaurants - other than on holidays - since I eat so much Italian food at home. I can make an exception for more casual Italian meals at only a handful of Italian restaurants, and Mamma Roma's is now one. Growing up partially Italian, and a mix of other ethnicities, my family cooks Italian better, of course, than at any restaurant. No one made better Italian dinners than my Na-na (grandmother). But Momma Roma's hummus cream rigatoni could definitely keep me coming back for more. No one made better meatballs than my Mom but the meatballs at Mamma Roma's are flavorful enough. No one made better sauce than my Aunt #1 but the sauce on Momma Roma's ravioli was good and so fresh. And no one made better cookies than my Aunt #2, but Momma Roma's cannolis and rum cookies are tasty. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in the area and I've read that Mamma Roma's is one of, if not, the best. I can only say that while my first visit here a decade ago was fine, this visit goes into my memory as "need to get back there, eventually, if not sooner," after delighting in their new menu item: a creamy hummus rigatoni with sausage. I love hummus, though wasn't really sure if the texture of hummus sauce would be too gritty. It was not. It had a lovely, substantial flavor and silky texture that was balanced well by the impeccably-cooked al dente rigatoni. Add to that the garlic, cream, sausage and herbs in this dish and you've got a winner. I highly recommend this rigatoni, of the 3 rigatoni entrees on Mamma Roma's menu. I haven't even tried the other rigatoni dishes, but still ... don't miss this creamy, garlicky hummus dinner. And the portions of rigatoni in this dish were very generous. The presentation of the lasagna was impressive, in layering and shape. I only had a bite. It had a nice flavor, but I would have needed more bites to give a better description. And since it wasn't my order, I could not indulge. The portion was generous. Also, I would never order lasagna from any restaurant given the reasons cited earlier, but this one was good. I hope someone is laughing because anyone who has grown up in a subcultural group in the US usually sounds exactly like me about the home-cooking they grew up on. Another of Mamma Roma's menu items I'd like to try is their corn and arugula white pizza. I've only found one lovely corn pizza ever at Zelo's in an LA suburb, so now that I have seen this on their menu my curiosity is piqued. Love love love the variety of the dessert menu options. It's not just the desserts in the case on display that you can order. While there are gorgeous cookies on display, the dessert menu has a long, lovely list of all kinds of variations of cheesecakes and cakes. I would like to try the lemon cake on a return visit. And more of the cookie flavors! When I asked the barista what the top desserts were, he was quick to name the cannoli as a first. You'd probably be surprised to find out that this is a counter service approach: you order and pay up at the front and the waiter brings you your food and whatever else you need. You get your own fountain drinks or tea with ice. You can tip in advance, in good faith, when you order in the beginning or you can leave cash on the table at the end of the meal, having already paid your bill in the beginning. There is also the charming dessert counter/bar and espresso area that I mentioned earlier. So, when you are finished with your lunch or dinner, you can go to the barista's counter and order dessert and cappuccino. I love that if you order cake or a cannoli, a cappuccino is only $2. This is an awesome value especially for the evening crowd. For old school Anne Arundel county and Annapolis locals, Mamma Roma's is better than the original Squisito's pizza -- and higher in quality -- but it is a bit reminiscent of that restaurant in terms of popularity and a family feel. Plus, I have never tried the pizza here, but I'm guessing it's good given the quality of the ingredients and preparations we experienced with the pasta dishes. One thing that also really stands out about Mamma Roma's is that they are the only Italian restaurant that is nestled back in the suburban Piney Orchard division of Gambrills. In other words, it's more neighborly there vs. other restaurants along the majorly-trafficked Route 3 corridor. The restaurants along Route 3 have many more transients coming in, given the ease of access, so they are naturally less neighborly. Finally, when we brought our leftovers from dinner home I set them on the kitchen table and left them for a bit. When I came back into our kitchen, it was filled with such delicious aromas! Friends, this is just how fresh the food at Mamma Roma's is. For a casual, counter service suburban, it is quite bellissima!

We ordered two 16" pizzas--the Parmigiana Chicken and the Napoli--plus 14 wings. The wings were laughably small and wildly overpriced, but that doesn't even scratch the surface of how bad this experience was. I was excited to try this place. The reviews were glowing, the photos looked incredible, and we chose Bruno's specifically to celebrate New Year's Eve with my partner. What a mistake. Both pizzas were completely ruined. Burnt, tough, dry, and utterly flavorless. They looked nothing like the pictures in the reviews--almost no sauce, overcooked to the point of being inedible, and closer to stale cheesy cardboard than pizza. If this is "authentic," then authenticity has a serious problem. For a moment, we genuinely wondered if we had been given someone else's order or sent food from the wrong restaurant. But no--this was Bruno's. The same Bruno's people are apparently losing their minds over. What's most insulting is that someone saw these pizzas, knew they were overcooked, and sent them out anyway. Charging full price for food this bad feels deceptive at best. When you compare what we received to the photos other reviewers have posted, it honestly feels like a bait-and-switch. Never again. I'll happily drive to Pasta Mista in Towson from now on--the only place around here that seems to understand what pizza is actually supposed to be.

Based on the…read morereviews I read, I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, it really missed the mark. The ambiance is beautiful and the restaurant is clean, but the experience went downhill quickly. It started with the service: the waitress backing up our table literally pulled the menus out of our hands so fast we couldn't even tell which pasta came with our dishes. We had to stop her to ask, and because we were rushed, we ended up with angel hair instead of the penne we wanted. For appetizers, the dip was delicious, but the Dynamite Shrimp felt like a cheap knockoff of a well-known chain's version. For dinner, I had the Veal Parmigiana. The veal itself was cooked well and had great flavor, but the sauce was... weird. I couldn't put my finger on what was different about it, but it wasn't my favorite. My wife ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, which was a total disaster--dry, flavorless, and inedible. I actually ended up giving her some of my veal just so she had something decent to eat. The ending was the most off-putting part. After we sent the chicken back, the waiter told us the manager wanted to "offer us dessert" for the trouble. We chose two to-go (heading to Magooby's Joke House), but when the bill came, the desserts were charged! When I asked why, the waiter said, "My manager said to remove the chicken parm cost, he didn't say to remove the dessert." Why "offer" something if you expect payment? It felt deceptive. He eventually removed the charge but didn't say a word when he dropped the receipt, and the manager never came over. Between the rushing, the weird sauce, and the awkward service, we won't be back.

The older man . I don't know if he is an owner or what , but he has NO business doing that job . 1st time we went and approached the desk , he asked if we had a reservation, when I said "no" he literally got an evil amused grin and scoffed at me like I was funny asking for a table without a reservation. We left . I still wanted to try it and we had reservations the next time for 7:30 . When you go in the entrance is crowded with people .. you think they are in line to check in , but it's just he doesn't make eye contact with anyone or ask if they need help . He waits to be approached. So I make my way to the stand asking who is in line and doing his job for him . Get to the stand , and he still doesn't look up and acknowledge me . (This has happened several times now ) he just keeps wiping off menus like he doesn't want to be bothered . So I finally loudly say "excuse me.." and he walks away comes back a good while later with someone's carry out order - I finally get his attention, and say we are there for our 7:30 reservations, and he looks at me dismissively and says "well we are running about a 1/2 behind , so go wait over there and we'll call you when WE are ready " and dismissively flips his hand like to shoo me away. He has zero customer service skills or kindness . Not even an apology for being a 1/2 behind . Do reservations even matter ?? He is also slow a molasses . He needs to be replaced . The second reason I give it a 5 is there is SO much wasted space between the kitchen and bar that could all be seating . It could be a whole extra dining room . Then they could seat people quicker . There is no where to sit when inevitably waiting a 1/2 hour for your reservation. No one needs to see the kitchen - there should be a wall where the poles are making it a hallway to kitchen window for the servers - then a long bench could go along the front side of it to make seating for a waiting area . Bar should be knocked back a little creating a large amount of seating in the huge dead space . I still begrudgingly go occasionally because they do have good Italian food , and the servers are great .. but I dread having to deal with the host each time .

We're celebrating my wife's birthday with our adult children and their partners. We were seated promptly in a glassed in patio heated by a gas space heater. We all wore our winter jackets the whole night. We didn't see a server for 15 minutes. In that time we watched another table of 6 get up and leave. They only had water and they said to us good luck with the service. We were approached 3 times by a kid from the kitchen delivering food that wasn't for us. We watched him walk from table to table asking if they ordered what he was holding. A few minutes later the waitress arrived. She was pleasant and didn't seem stressed. She took our drink order and we also ordered 3 appetizers. 30 minutes passed. Nothing except kitchen kid with another order for someone else. Server never came by. No water. Nothing. I went and found the manager waiting table in the bar. Expressed my frustration. She apologized. We then had bread and water delivered. 10 minutes later our drinks arrived. Another 10 minutes and appetizers finally hit the table. In that time another table got up and left. This could have become a drinking game if we thought we could get refills. At 8:45 our food finally arrived... 2 plates at a time with 5 minutes in between trips. No joke. It was delivered by the kitchen kid. Our server stopped by twice while we were waiting for the rest of our dinners, but she personally never went to get the rest of the food. We ordered garlic bread an hour earlier and it finally arrived after we finished eating. We decided not to order dessert so the birthday celebration never happened. The manager sent over 2 free cannolis with the check but it was much too little much too late. At least we got a memorable story of the worst birthday service we've ever had.

I had the crispy Cobb salad with chicken tenders, and it was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly moist and flavorful, and the mixed greens and toppings were incredibly fresh. Every bite was delicious. My husband ordered the waffles and loved them just as much. What really elevated the experience was our server. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. Her service made an already great meal even better. Great food, great service, and a wonderful overall experience. We'll absolutely be back! !

And I must say the food made me want to take another trip to Hunt Valley asap. Upon walking through the doors of Barrett's Grill you can admire the beautiful dining room space that was perfectly decorated for the holiday season. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive giving us time to mull over the menu a while. I ordered the Salmon BLT wrap with fries and was blown away by the flavor. The salmon was perfectly seasoned and blackened, and the peppered bacon was a great compliment. I typically ask for any type of sauces on the side, however, I forgot this time and was still happy with the honey mustard style sauce in the wrap. My dining companion ordered the fish of the day tacos, which was trout and she said they were really tasty. I will gladly say the Salmon BLT wrap at Barrett's is now one of my favorite bites and I actually would like to go back for another dining experience and to try some other menu items.
