I'm from New Jersey so this is saying a lot... this is the best Italian food I've had in Baltimore yet! First off, the ambiance is absolutely beautiful and the service was incredible. The owner came and spoke with us to make sure everything was came out great, we we loved! We had the scampi crostini (sauce was insane) the chicken parm, and rigatoni vodka with grilled chicken. I ended with their spin on an espresso martini 10/10. You need to check this spot out!!!

Olio just opened on Aliceanna. I went last night with a group of friends to try it out! I love experiencing a place early on - the manager Greg was fun and asked us our thoughts and recommendation on every dish. This restaurant is definitely still in "start up" mode - maybe think of it as a soft opening. They have their front dining room open, but there's 2/3 more of the restaurant that should open up in about a month (Greg gave us the tour!). I loved the vibes of the place because it has a lot of character and is a bit kitschy - in a good way. If you're on tik tok and you want to live out your 90s mob wife aesthetic, this is a good place to do it. Service - 4/5 - Great and personal service but still staffing up Drinks 4/5 - - I had the basil smash cocktail. Very yummy but if you don't like a sweet cocktail, tell them to make it less sweet. Strong basil taste, citrus. -Tried the espresso cocktail - very good version of an espresso martini -my husband and friend had aperol spritz - they both really liked it, the aperol wasn't overpowering. Refreshing. Our group enjoyed the house Chianti after cocktails. Food - ( We ate family style to try a lot) OUR FAVORITES - Chicken Marsala - Burrata - Au Grain Sweet Potatoes - Bolognese - Fettuccine Alfredo was surprisingly good - Beet salad - Meatballs - Chocolate mousse - Crème Brûlée THINGS WE LIKED - Margarita pizza - Filet - Caesar salad (dressing made in house, more of a citrus-y dressing, not a creamy Caesar) Fun place to try - can't wait to see what it becomes in a month or two. Will go again and update the review! Should have taken more food pics but was having too much fun.

Friend and I went here last night and it was absolutely amazing with by far, the best happy hour menu in town. We literally ordered 5 of the plates on it and cleaned every one of them. Top plate was the rigatoni vodka sauce, followed very closely by the veal meatballs and shrimp scampi. We topped the night off with what is definitely Baltimore's best Espresso Martini. Wish i could give this place more than 5 stars

My friend and I live in the neighborhood and we went here last night. The food was absolutely fantastic and the chocolate mousse was to die for I had the lemon cello spritz as my cocktail, Ty, I believe the bartender was his name it was made with perfection. He was a great bartender, very Great with conversation. I highly recommend this place the inside is beautiful designed like it belongs in a movie you'll see what I mean when you go there. Everyone was very polite as soon as you walk in the door. We will definitely be back to try more items from the menu besides getting the pizza again.!! Bravo!!

So aside from the food and atmosphere being top tier the bartenders Greg and Ty were absolute gems. Everything about this place was beyond perfect and I couldn't suggest somewhere to go more than here. 100% will be back to try everything on the menu.

After ordering food, I took the kids to the bocce court while my partner could enjoy the wine and watch us from above. I know he appreciated having the break and a good glass of wine to go with it. Service was friendly and the food was fantastic. We ordered several dishes including several types of pasta, meatballs, cheesy bread and a caesar salad. I had an opportunity during the week to stop in during lunch as I have had this on my "to go" list…read more I was able to get parking right at the restaurant without an issue; but be mindful this is not possible most days and times. Parking is tight around this area. The restaurant did not have signage viewable directing to the entrance. Entrance is through a terrace area in which there is outdoor seating and great vibing view (on a cooler and better day then this partucular day with temperatures over 100°. Entrance was made at the lower level(bar area) and greetings were made from the bartender. I then walked up the stairs to the hostess desk and was greeted again by the young lady. We were seated in a formal dining area. This is a casual to upscale dining experience. I was dressed not so casual but was not feeling out of place as it was not a lot of people inside. One large seemingly work group dining together. Hostess/waitress placed refreshing cold glasses of water on the table. I needed to wash my hands before my dining experience and meal. I asked the hostess/waitress for the location of restroom. She guided me to such. While walking to the restroom, I was able to see multiple food prep areas (open kitchen stove area, guy in another sections rolling and prepping raw ground meatballs another guy in another area. All food areas seemed neat and clean. Employees also using food prep gloves. I finally got to the restroom. Immaculately clean and smell fresh. The decor was warm and continued the asthetics of the restaurant. When I came back to the table I looked over the simple and minimalist menu. Its not overwhelming with a lot to chose from. The waitress explained the menu and when it came down to the pasta dishes she expressed the size of the half vs full. Her described portion of half was the size of a handful and the full was that of two hand fulls. I chose the bolognese (half), meatballs, and my dining guest chose a caesar salad with grilled chicken added. We decided on no other beverages beyond the water. The food came out quickly. The described size portions were as such. I was thinking the size would be not as small as it was. For a grown man or someone hungry, the half portion will not be filling. The salad came out portioned as the pasta. A handful of caesar with a large uncooked chicken breast. The meatballs (3 total) was a great portion. I found my bolognese and the meatballs to be on the side of a bit salty. My dining guest found the salad to be on the salty side as well. I enjoyed the ambiance and calm dining area but the food did not wow me. From the portions, to the taste and then the price. The caesar salad was $17 and $11 for the chicken breast that was not proportion with the hand full of romaine placed on a plate and uncut was too pricey ($28 total). They charge a 3% facility fee on to the check. Paying $80 for this experience was not justified. I am able to knock this off my list of "to go" I may take another look at coming here again but I for now will not consider anytime soon due to my first experience of the salty food. Other than the taste and portion its not a bad vibing experience.

I ordered the branzino, it was a nice size, and it was paired with mash potatoes and asparagus of which the fish was placed over top of the mash potatoes and asparagus. Dalesios of Little Italy has been open since 1984 and has been serving great Italian dishes in the heart of Baltimore's Little Italy. Walking inside, the restaurant is tastefully decorated. It screams old world, European charm with it's unique art adorning the walls. I'm seated in the first dining room, closest to the front door. There's a bar inside this room which adds to the Italian decor. First time here, I don't know the restaurants portion sizes. Is it family style where one plate can feed a small army? The portion size was perfect. I ordered a nice glass of Italian wine and the Scampi & Crab Alla Sardegna. The pasta dish was amazing.
