The Ice Plant location was historically St. Augustine's first power and ice complex. Now the building has been revitalized and has The Ice Plant and The St. Augustine Distillery. The St. Augustine Distillery is connected to The Ice Plant and is a great tour to check out right before heading to grab food at the restaurant. There are a variety of guided and self-guided tours. My spouse and I checked out the self-guided tour right before we grabbed dinner at The Ice Plant. The tour isn't particularly long but was filled with information. After the tour, we headed upstairs to the restaurant. The restaurant feels really spacious with its super tall ceilings. There was lots to look at reminding us of the previous use of the building. We ordered the hand cut fries, strawberry and beet salad, and the gochujang marinated pork chop. I also ordered a few of their drinks, each one featuring different types of ice to fit the drink. Honestly all the food and the drinks were so good, but the easy standout of the night for both my spouse and I were the pork chops. These might have been the best pork chops I've ever had in my life. The pork chops were incredibly tender and juicy, not dry at all. I was expecting it to be a little dry, as I feel like pork chop can sometimes get overcooked, but no. These were so juicy and tender. I asked our server how the pork chop was cooked. Our server said that the pork chops were cooked sous vide, which makes a lot of sense as to how they were so tender. I've already told my spouse if we are in the St. Augustine area again, I would make a special trip just to get these pork chops again, they were that good. I really enjoyed this restaurant. This was my favorite spot we checked out in the St. Augustine area, if you are ever passing by the area, check The Ice Plant out!

The Bloody Mary is where it lost me. $15 is a serious price for a cocktail, and mine arrived as a tall glass of ice with what was left over poured around it. By the time I was a few sips in, it was mostly meltwater. For that money I'd expect the drink to outlast the ice. Suggestion for the house: given the name, lean into it. Send everyone home with a free bag of ice -- at least then I'd feel like I paid for something I got to keep. Would go back for the food. Would think twice before ordering another cocktail.

Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She always came around to make sure we were good and didn't need anything. She also made sure we didn't feel rushed even though they were busy We ordered - Oyster Rockefeller ($22): Overpriced for what you get. It was just ok but it didn't taste bad. Wouldn't get it again for the price. - Blackened Grouper (MP - $46): it came with a curry coconut rice with plantains and pickled onions. Honestly, I don't like curry but it was pretty good. Not too heavy in tumeric flavor and the plantains made it sweet. I think I preferred the dish without the curry, as a personal preference, but it was still pretty delicious. The blackened grouper had lots of spices and flavor. - Herb-Crusted Grouper (MP - $46): traded the sides for hush puppies and coconut rice. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The fish was glistening and fresh. The coconut rice had great flavor and not too sweet. The hush puppies hit the spot and they gave you a good amount. Overall, the restaurant is pretty expensive but the food is very delicious! The sunset views were to die for!
