After visiting the other location, I had to see what they had here. This location seems to have…read moremore retro and systems, but either location is worth checking out for any system you're interested in. Walking in, you hear familiar game music that plays in the background as you see gamers thrashing on arcade cabinets and talking about the latest console games. It's not just a store, it's a place for the gamer community to meet up, which is great. Game stores should have culture. They had more rarities in this store than the other store, which is saying something because both have great stock and impressive rarity. Collector's prices, but you should expect that at a game store this knowledgeable about games. They had three staff members when I was there and all were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. If you're at all interested in games, it's definitely worth checking out.

This place rips people off. They price their stuff off of ebay just so they can twist around their…read moreown high price on items.. they barley offer you jack for trade ins unless its actually valuable or rare then they scam you just to sell it for even more... their console return policy is garbage if they can't apparently replicate the flaw or problem with a used console at their store even if you show a photo or video of the purchased used console they will still beat around the bush just so they dont have to help you out. Nor do they do real cash back refunds on anything even if you buy a used system and its actually defective because they don't actually test or clean the systems they get in, they just half ass blow it out... they are scam artists in disguise fucking us over.... Like how can you tell me these people price a used xbox 360 controller for 35 bucks just a controller but then when someone brings in a whole used xbox 360 console with name brand controller and 500 gig HD to trade in they offer 33 dollars in store credit.. that people should say something what this bullshit company does not to mention they don't even actually try to refurbish anything or even at least replace thermal paste. They can literally hire some people that can do that separately from the actual business locations or even the back of their stores to ensure each used console will actually run properly or at least have a better return policy aka real cash back. But the owner won't have a refurbish group like that because he's to much of a cheap skate con man that hires unprofessional and inexperienced kids that handles games and electronics like Keith David holding a glass of warm milk it's absolutely hilarious.... Games ahoy will be exposed even more everywhere else.. to be continued

I've been going to this store for about 11 years now, and have always had an enjoyable time there…read more The two owners/managers (Kevin and Jason) are great guys that you can tell got into the business because it's something they are passionate about- they love talking about sports memorabilia, board games, comics, and the trading games they carry. This translates into being able to learn about the products before purchase, but also picking up incidental knowledge to help protect things (I didn't realize that older 9-Card pages had an acid that could cause some yellowing on cards!). As a TCG and Board game player, that's the demographic I can speak to best. The board games are priced close to MSRP (with some changes based on the market). Sealed TCG stuff seems to follow the market as well, and most singles are priced fairly comparatively to online retailers. The prices can be higher than other merchants, but I've appreciated that Jason and Kevin are upfront in their pricing- they are transparent about the pricing being higher when they feel that something is being valued too low. The space is a little crowded, but that's because there is just so much product there- just last year I was buying Aliens toys from 1992! Sometimes it can feel like a little bit of a crunch, but most of the time there hasn't been an issue for me. At the end of the day, there's only so much that can vary from one shop like this to another. Just like any shop there's a good spread of new items, older items, and hidden gems. What sets Grand Slam apart is the people. You have owners who want to help you find what you're looking for, even if it means reaching out to another store. You have customers who love their respective fields, and want to help others break in and learn the world. Overall, you get a store that seems to be focused on the community first, and wants to build Northern Colorado into a hotbed of activity!
