This store is a staple in the Denver area for game stores. The selection is remarkable. You can't just pop in this store. You need to really explore and see everything. The prices are okay and match what you will find elsewhere and online. You're really paying for the experience and selection here. I always make this tops on my game hunting list when I'm Colorado. read more

Game Force Boulder - Video Game Stores Near Me - Boulder, Colorado

Does not get much better than this place. Great selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Been going to this place since my college days. The way the store is laid out is very asthetically pleasing too. Most of the places around the country have not really touched the feel of this place. Must stop place for gamers. read more

Game Force is like the Video Station of video game stores: it has qualified (yes, this means uber-nerds who know their v.games) people working the counters who can answer any question, make pertinent suggestions, and in general are all around nice guys. I've been in here several times over the years (uh-oh...the secrets out) and they've cut me deals several times. Game Force specializes in older games for good prices, as well as in trade-ins. They give you decent dollar for your used games and systems, especially in trade, which is something that a lot of places don't do very well. Further this place also has a decent anime and dvd collection, so it really is a nerd's Valhalla in many ways. read more

Game Force Boulder - http://mdb.classicgaming.gamespy.com/m1/m1uscart.jpg - Video Game Stores Near Me - Boulder, Colorado

They have a huge selection of video games across old and new consoles. They also have lots of inexpensive movies. Really great place!

This is a really cool local shop with TONS of inventory. It's tough to find video game shops that have plentiful options both for current generation and retro gamers like myself =) They also have a solid collection of anime! Staff was friendly and super helpful, which can also sometimes be a struggle with stores of this type. Ended up finding a CIB copy of Mario Kart for the GBA! 10/10 would recommend. read more

Knowledgable staff with a great selection of retro games and new games. The guys here know what they're doing when it comes to retro games and know how to deal with all old game consoles and how to repair the games. I come in about once a week to check out their stock of old Nintendo games and I'm usually pleasantly surprised. They always have their Nintendo games for eBay price or better and allow you to test the games before you buy them. Game Force also allows a 7 day warranty on used games which is nice due to the fragility of old Nintendo games. I don't usually review businesses on yelp but game force is fantastic. read more

It takes a lot for me to give a business 5 stars. But Game Force has earned it hands down. For my 21st birthday, I bought a PS3, but wanted games I'd never played- DUH! Enter Game Force. Right from walking in you'll see games. Floor to ceiling games. In display cases, out of cases, around the store, you name it. The library and history this place has inside of it is nothing short of incredible. Warning: you may get lost for hours, even in this small location. Game Force has everything dating from the ATARI 2600, all the way up to the Playstation 4. If you want a game, I will tell you without fear of contradiction that they have it. Harris is an awesome dude- talk to him if you have the chance. He's extremely knowledgeable about games and TV; he'll give you as much information as he knows. Provided that you ask, of course! If you're a gamer in Boulder, you owe it to yourself to visit this business. Absolutely outstanding! read more

Hands down the best game store I've ever been to in my life. Their intense (and overwhelming) selection of Used and New games is only surpassed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. Anything you need to know about with regards to gaming (from gaming history to the nuances of new releases), it's here in the staff or customers. Any adventure you seek, it's here in the cache of board games, silicon chips and DVDs. This place is a wonderland if you are into games of any sort. read more

Harris and the guys at Game Force are exceptionally knowledgeable about every gaming platform - from Sega Genesis to Gameboy to Xbox One. Their inventory is phenomenal, even with older platforms. I get all my Playstation One, N64 and Super Nintendo games and accessories from Game Force. The prices are reasonable and they accept a lot of trade-ins offering in-store credit. I simply won't go anywhere else when looking for video games, old and new! read more

This place has been and continues to be the best place to go for all gaming and non gaming related things. The atmosphere is laid back. The people are awesome. Harris is a great guy. They will continue to get my business as long as they're around. read more

I was in dire need of a game or two. so I bought an xbox 360 from game force along with a copy of GTA 5 and fallout new Vegas. I then proceeded to play some fallout and then spent a while loading GTA. now that I think of it I actually didn't buy GTA from game force, I actually bought it on the online store on the xbox. funny how you forget little things like that sometimes. read more

I went into game force and they have next gen console games and more. They have tons and tons of stuff. They have new and used games. Atari and genesis consoles. They have it all. However their prices are pretty steep. I understand this is boulder but there's no reason to sell used games for the same price as GameStop or online. I came in and asked if they'd be willing to make a deal on a used game ($20 instead of $25) they said no because it was the only copy of shadow of mordor. Which strikes me as odd. Wait until someone comes in and pays full price or money for your business now. Oh well. read more

I love Boulder Game Force. I have shopped & traded with them since 2000. Harris is a friendly, knowledgeable & welcoming owner. His staff shares in his vision & provides excellent service as well. Shouts to Barrett aka Vasper. They've got the vintage & rare games & systems for the connoisseur & all the hot new titles. Get top dollar for your trade ins. Shop local & have a better experience & diversity of selection. Noob or get noobed! HCS represent. read more

If you're into gaming or need a cool gift for someone who's a gamer, you've got to go here. These guys are great and super friendly. They make some solid recommendations for games. Their website is out of the goddamned 90s, though; but I won't hold that against them. ;) I've never traded a game with them, but it seemed fair based on what I witnessed. They have a lot of rarer systems too, in case you're looking to take a nostalgic trip down old-school lane. read more

This place is amazing. Their selection is absolutely massive, from the oldest consoles to the newest and likewise with video games! Their prices are pretty low too! I'd definitely recommend stopping by here if you want a new game. read more

Despite how far it is, the travel is well worth it. This store carries the widest variety of gaming I've ever encountered here in Colorado. It spans every generation and even has imports. Everything is decently priced and the staff is also pretty good at their job. read more

Game Force is by far the best game retail experience you can have in Boulder. If you're looking for a collector's item or for the newest title, this is the place to go. They have a very fair tradeback policy and a great selection of used games. These guys get it right - the staff is super nice and knowledgeable, and excellent at making suggestions. Sometimes I get the feeling that they've played everything. It's also a fun place to bring your friends or children - totally friendly to all ages. The only problem with Game Force is that every time I go there, I want to buy everything there. If you go to game stop or target to get games in Boulder, you're missing out big time. Go to Game Force. read more

Great place, HUGE selection of used games and DVDs. Friendly staff who know just about everything re games. read more

See all

This place is a gem. If you have an older system, you have to see this place. They have great selection and really reasonable prices. It is also nice to be able to go into a store, look around and not be completely hounded every 30 seconds like you get at the chain retail stores. The people inside the store are always friendly and knowledgeable. I bought 4 Sega Genesis games for 10 bucks and they took the time to clean them out and make sure they were going to work properly for me. It is obvious they take pride in their store, as they should. read more

I've moved away from Boulder, and this is by far the store I miss the most. Their staff is great and can offer good recommendations to anyone, from the mom looking for the newest Pokemon title to a hardcore player who needs a new JRPG. Also, when I bought a replacement Xbox, they offered to buy the cables and controller from me to help offset the cost... so classy. Their selection is comprehensive, offering the current hits as well as older games and imports. The used game prices are very reasonable (not $5 off the current retail price), and their trade-in values are good too. They also let you try out used games on their in-store machines. Game Force is a fantastic operation and I felt privileged to give them my business. They are good people in a retail industry full of sleazebags. read more

These guys are awesome. I've been going here since. Was a young kid and I'm 24 now. Always have a huge selection of games and are very fair with trade ins and what not. I definitely will continue shopping here. read more

Game Force is an amazing game store. I feel fortunate to have lived so close to such a great store when I was in high school. I now work in the game industry and really appreciate all the games I found and was exposed to through the store. They have a great selection of old and new domestic and imported games from Japan. The prices are fair as well as the trade in rates. Whenever I go back to Boulder I always make sure to stop by Game Force and buy a game or two. I hope the Boulder community can keep this great store thriving and avoid spending their money at Game Stop and other chains. read more

Game Force is the best used/new game shop in the BDR. their used selection is awesome.. basically 3 full walls everything from Xbox to PS to Nintendo. even have some old old games from the old systems.... they also sell movies and box sets.. all for a decent price.... i like to return all my old games and get new ones only paying about 10-20 bucks. if you're a gamer.. visit this place you won't be disappointed. read more

They import games new. Looking for something rare? Check here before you resort to the Internet. Support local businesses! Prices can typically be negotiated if you buy a lot. read more

Love this place! Support local, small business and have a way better experience than Game Stop. Most used items have a 7 day return.

It's a very nice place. Their copy collection are nearly perfect. U could find them much more useful than game stop sometimes.

Boulder Game Force is literally a force in gaming. They have an enormous inventory with knowledgeable, polite and helpful staff. I can always spend hours browsing their walls and cases and admiring their exotic foreign goods. Their place can be a little intimidating to navigate, but don't be afraid to interrupt those guys hard at work behind the counter. They're also always very quick and helpful over the phone. Oh, and they're always playing sick beats. I love this store! read more

Game Force is the best video gaming store in Boulder, hands down, court adjourned. I've been shopping there a few times, and I have never left unhappy. The selection is nothing short of astounding. I have purchased several used games here and I have never gotten an unplayable disc (which I have gotten several times at the Boulder GameStop). The staff is great to work with, and very helpful when looking for something special. When I am trading in games or accessories, I have always felt that they gave me a fair price. read more

Staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Sometimes I'll go in there with a vague description of what type of game I'm looking for and they'll happily throw suggestions and descriptions at me until something sticks. read more

This place is an institution. I feel like everything that can be said about this place has already been said, so I will simply leave it at that this place rocks. The staff is awesome. There is no better game store in Boulder. Game Force is locally owned, the selection is awesome, and the employees are great.

In a time when independent videogame stores are increasingly rare, Game Force prevails for so many good reasons. The inventory is vast, the staff is knowledgeable and professional, and the prices are great! I can't count how many times I've discovered hidden gems here -- be they rare, collectable, obscure, or all of the above. Not to be missed! read more
