Game Force is like the Video Station of video game stores: it has qualified (yes, this means uber-nerds who know their v.games) people working the counters who can answer any question, make pertinent suggestions, and in general are all around nice guys. I've been in here several times over the years (uh-oh...the secrets out) and they've cut me deals several times. Game Force specializes in older games for good prices, as well as in trade-ins. They give you decent dollar for your used games and systems, especially in trade, which is something that a lot of places don't do very well. This is a really cool local shop with TONS of inventory. It's tough to find video game shops that have plentiful options both for current generation and retro gamers like myself =) They also have a solid collection of anime! Knowledgable staff with a great selection of retro games and new games. The guys here know what they're doing when it comes to retro games and know how to deal with all old game consoles and how to repair the games. I come in about once a week to check out their stock of old Nintendo games and I'm usually pleasantly surprised. They always have their Nintendo games for eBay price or better and allow you to test the games before you buy them. I get all my Playstation One, N64 and Super Nintendo games and accessories from Game Force. The prices are reasonable and they accept a lot of trade-ins offering in-store credit. I was in dire need of a game or two. so I bought an xbox 360 from game force along with a copy of GTA 5 and fallout new Vegas. I then proceeded to play some fallout and then spent a while loading GTA. now that I think of it I actually didn't buy GTA from game force, I actually bought it on the online store on the xbox. funny how you forget little things like that sometimes. read more

I went into game force and they have next gen console games and more. They have tons and tons of stuff. They have new and used games. Atari and genesis consoles. They have it all. However their prices are pretty steep. I understand this is boulder but there's no reason to sell used games for the same price as GameStop or online. I came in and asked if they'd be willing to make a deal on a used game ($20 instead of $25) they said no because it was the only copy of shadow of mordor. Which strikes me as odd. They have a very fair tradeback policy and a great selection of used games. These guys get it right - the staff is super nice and knowledgeable, and excellent at making suggestions. This place is a gem. If you have an older system, you have to see this place. They have great selection and really reasonable prices. It is also nice to be able to go into a store, look around and not be completely hounded every 30 seconds like you get at the chain retail stores. The people inside the store are always friendly and knowledgeable. I bought 4 Sega Genesis games for 10 bucks and they took the time to clean them out and make sure they were going to work properly for me. I've moved away from Boulder, and this is by far the store I miss the most. Their staff is great and can offer good recommendations to anyone, from the mom looking for the newest Pokemon title to a hardcore player who needs a new JRPG. Also, when I bought a replacement Xbox, they offered to buy the cables and controller from me to help offset the cost... so classy. Their selection is comprehensive, offering the current hits as well as older games and imports. The used game prices are very reasonable (not $5 off the current retail price), and their trade-in values are good too. They also let you try out used games on their in-store machines. I now work in the game industry and really appreciate all the games I found and was exposed to through the store. They have a great selection of old and new domestic and imported games from Japan. Boulder Game Force is literally a force in gaming. They have an enormous inventory with knowledgeable, polite and helpful staff. I can always spend hours browsing their walls and cases and admiring their exotic foreign goods. Their place can be a little intimidating to navigate, but don't be afraid to interrupt those guys hard at work behind the counter. They're also always very quick and helpful over the phone.
