Awesome, awesome, awesome. I visit CO about once a month for work and this place is awesome. The non-price-tagged comics with "We'll price search them on internet when you are checking out" had me TERRIFIED of potentially high costs, but every untagged back issue was priced reasonably, under $5 which was a huge relief. Staff were really cool dudes too - I will be back! read more

This place is truly massive with an incredible selection, and the whole store is immaculately organized. I was able to find some Young Justice 98, which I can never find anywhere and a ton of other cool things! The workers were super nice and prices were reasonable! read more

Been coming to Time Warp since I was a small child and they're just as good now under the now ownership/location as they ever were! Great selection of any kind of comics you'd ever want, and at reasonable prices with helpful staff. read more

Great comic shop with knowledgeable employees and an awesome selection of comics, toys, collectibles, etc.

This place is amazing!!! I love in Indiana and frequent shops in indy and muncie, plus have visited shops throughout Ohio and several European cities. This is a very good comic shop and locals should be proud. An amazing back issue section, arranged by kid friendly and then by publisher. When I went, image back issues were 50% off and I found some issues I've been searching for forever!!! Wicked & Divine 2,4,5 and Saga 10,11. What a find!! They have many current issues as well. Star Wars comics were 50% off, which was also incredible. Many action figures! Great staff. Patrick told me to come here when I met him at CU Boulder and I am super happy I met him. Guy at the cash register was also very nice. Workers in the store helped me out quite a bit as well. Great place!!! read more

This is a great little comic shop. Lots of new and back issues, graphic novels, and manga. Additionally, a nice selection of tabletop gaming supplies as well. The Funko selection is excellent, and there are lots of other collectible figures. Tip: set up a file to ensure you get all your new comics (and a bit of a discount, too)! read more

Time Warp is the best comic-book store that I've ever been to in my entire life. It is the store upon which I judge all other comic-book stores. A sacred institution, it must live on for all time. The staff is friendly and helpful, the selection is voluminous. A business does not exist for nigh-forty years if it isn't exceptional. ¡Viva Time Warp! read more

This place is awesome! They have a great stock of weekly releases and an incredible back issue selection with ridiculously great prices. The staff is extremely friendly and even as I listened to them banter with each other while I was shopping I thought, "man this is like listening to a great comic podcast." I don't live in Boulder, but if I did this would be my shop! read more

If you dig comics like me then you will love this place. Wayne the owner is a really great, honest guy who will treat you right but selling and buying. He has a knowledgeable staff that are happy to help but not clingy which I prefer. The store has a solid selection of back issues and they consistently get in some key back issues which I am always in search for. Great Store, Great People, Great food! read more

Ohhhhhh yeah! The real deal as far a comic shops go. This one is world class. 1. Massive boxes of back issues of hard to find stuff. 2. Shelves full of trade paperbacks. 3. New comics galore. 4. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. 5. Dollar bins and 50 cent bins! 6. Good prices. I scored a ton of hard to find back issues perusing through Time Warp's massive collection of back issues. It was a true pleasure to peruse through such a fine and vast collection. Also, the staff is very cool and helpful. Love this place. If you are in Boulder, this is THE place to go for comics. Nothing I know of comes close to Time Warp in Boulder. Don't miss this gem of a store! read more

I absolutely love this place! Wayne and all of his staff are nothing but a pleasure. I would highly recommend AJ and Markus. I have a monthly box subscription here and they never disappoint. Besides the comics that I order on a regular basis they also have suggestions based on what I like. Which came in very handy for rare items I was looking for. Even when I ordered pulp, they provided a signed book plate after I received the book. Customer service is top notch and unmatched. They have earned a customer for life. read more

Best place in the front range to buy comics hands down! They have a great selection, I almost always find what I'm looking for-and if I don't they have a friendly staff ready to help you find exactly what your looking for(and will order it for you if they are out of stocks)! And excited to talk about new series and give recommendations. Also, best prices on back issues of any comic store around! Always 50% off read more

Great store with wall to wall stuff! I collect and play magic the gathering and my fiancé collects comic books and statues so she is as happy as I am here. Great store with friendly employees! A+ read more

This is the last true comic shop in the area. No one else has so many back issues, so many current titles, so much crazy related merchandise. Want a copy of some obscure 1984 issue? Likely in stock. Want a big cardboard Thor stand up? They probably have that too. The owners are very aware of the market they're in, and their prices and purchase policies are in perfect accord. Selling books to them is the fairest price you're going to get from a comic store, and buying books from them is always safe and reliable; I have never disagreed about their grading on older books, and I've always been pleased with the prices. Totally worth the drive to Boulder. read more

This was my favorite shop (in a previous location) as a teenager in the 1980s. I've recently had the opportunity to visit the shop as an adult. They offer an extensive selection of back issues, reprints, & current titles, as well as weird, rare and obscure comic books & other memorabilia. Highly recommended. read more

Time Warp Comics and Games - Time Warp Comics - Comic Books Near Me - Boulder, Colorado

First off, I'm from the East Coast and have been a comic book reader and collector for 23 years. When I moved to Denver in 2007 I was shocked at how poor the comic book stores were for such a metro city. Then I found Time Warp and my faith was restored. Unfortunately I live in the southern metro area of Denver, so I don't get to Time Warp as much as I'd like, but I have to say this is generally one of the best comic stores I been to anywhere. Typically comic shops are dark, unorganized and unfriendly. Thankfully Time Warp isn't like that. The staff is friendly and helpful, the selection is great and most importantly it's well lit and organized. A case in point, first time I called them, before I had ever been there, I asked if they had a comic that had sold out earlier that week. The staff member said they only had 1 copy left. With little hope I asked if he could hold it for me for a couple of hours so I could drive up and get it, and to my surprise he said 'Sure can, what's the name." That's not typical Comic Book Store service and I was so happy to get the comic I bought a few more things while I was there. I've been to comic shops all over the country and I don't think you find much better than Time Warp. read more

I lost my beloved comic book collection to a bitter roommate years ago. After that, I just couldn't get back into them. Where do start? Do you replace or rebuild? The idea of picking up some single issues and graphic novels had been in the back of my mind for a while, so I called up Time-Warp to make sure they stocked small press comics since I've never been into the action hero thing. I must say they were super polite and helpful on the phone which is huge to me! The gentleman I spoke with was friendly, welcoming and gave good directions. At the store I told the guys what I was into and they all took turns offering suggestions, really great suggestions that show they really listened to me. I never felt rushed or pressured. There was no snobbery whatsoever. We joked and laughed that I hadn't bought comics in years, but they really seemed excited to get me back into comics. Their passion really shows and that's awesome. Speaking of joking and laughing, all the guys there had an excellent sense of humor and were truly a pleasure to be around. My experience made me remember how much fun buying a fat stack of comics really is! I'd agree with others that the store is pretty well organized, at least from a chaos control standpoint. I'm not sure it makes perfect sense from sorting like objects standpoint, but hey, everyone organizes their fridge differently and maybe I just put my metaphorical mustard in the door when others put it on the shelf. And, as someone who has done visual merchandising I can only imagine how hard it is to arrange comic book store in a way that works for everyone. Selection seems pretty awesome, especially if your tastes lean toward the more traditional. I was spoiled in that my initial introduction to comic books happened in the SF bay area. I think it was probably also the peak of the small press comic craze. I'd like to see a little more variety in that department, but I understand it's hard to maintain shelf space for things that might not sell. All told it was a fun shopping trip and I'm sure if they keep up the amazing work I'll back week after week! I do, after all, have a box to fill! read more

Amazing staff and huge assortment. They were so helpful to my son and to our family. AJ is an amazing manager and goes above and beyond. He even jumped a car for us! Awesome guy read more

I was in for the weekend to visit my son in college and was just looking to get some cheap comics to read (no real agenda). This place had quite a few long boxes of $0.50 comics that just hit the spot for me. I got quite a few and filled some holes in my new comics collection. The proper back issue section was also quite extensive and I was thoroughly impressed. Very nice staff as well, which means I'll definitely come back. read more

This place is amazing! There really is no need to ever go to another comic book store. The guys there remember us by name, and they're extremely knowledgeable about everything in the store. Theyre always very thorough when answering your questions, and make great suggestions as far as what to read next. The vibe of this place is just awesome. They have so many different types of comics, tons of toys, action figures, and even a corner completely dedicated to kids comics. Also, if there is something they don't have in stock, they're quick to find a way to get it for you. Time warp comics blows my brain out my eyeballs in the best way possible. read more

This is hands down THE BEST comic and gaming store (that I've visited) in Colorado. Wayne has everything right - a clean, well-organized store with easily accessible back issues, gaming space, and tons of collectibles to satisfy every geek in the comicsphere. This guy knows how to run a store, and it's obvious that he's successful. Completely worth the drive from Denver!! read more

Awesome store. I'm a big manga reader and their selection of manga is quite vast. They also have staff people that know manga, which is a nice plus. read more

WAYNE, the owner ROCKS. This is an amazing shop with a super friendly staff. Just got back into collecting and reading comics and this is my new safe haven. After a hard day's work, nothing better than diving into some new comics. Everything is really organized and as cheesy as this sounds, the $.25 comic bins just make me giddy. Also, when getting back into comics, trying to find stuff that you're into or picking up where you left off can be hard and there are lots of people who will snub you, but Wayne and his staff haven't steered me wrong. A few hundred later I have myself a full fledged collection, complete with a bunch of great back issues and lots of trade paperbacks. read more

Not the most organized, or clean, easy feel of a store. But no comic book store is, that's what gives comic book stores their uniqueness in my opinion. I can't find another comic book store as good as this one, lived in Colorado all my life, and trust me this is just the best one I've seen. Every comic book you can think of, toys, action figures, cards, posters. It's all good here. read more

I had to do it. I write reviews on restaurants and businesses. I wear thick rimmed glasses. I am a nerd! And I visit this comic shop often (weekly). Time Warp Comics takes care of my needs and they appreciate my business. They have a file system available to those, like myself, who purchase 10 or more comics a month where they hold my selections, so they do not sell out. They even track down my special requests. Additionally, they give file-holders a 10% discount. Not only do they have all the recent releases of any comic I could desire, but they also have plenty of classics that I cannot afford, but thoroughly enjoy looking at. They have an advanced, organized library of graphic novels and tons of back issues. The walls are lined with awesome action figures and behind the cash wrap there are variant covers, CGC graded issues, and rare old gems. Time Warp Comics is where helpful, friendly fellow nerds serve my hedonistic desire for art and pop culture. They even catch me up on the story lines I didn't follow, but now need to know about. Let's face it. If you're on Yelp you are a nerd too. If you're in Boulder check out Time Warp. read more

This is the best comic book store in Colorado, hands down. If more business treated their customers like Time Warp, I'd consider going into Boulder for something other than comics at Time Warp! read more

Time Warp Comics should be called Space Warp Comics, there is no other explanation for how they cram so much awesome into this place. As with most comic stores, they have a lot of collectibles and of course the latest run of comics from the major publishers, but then they have the latest from a lot of indie printers and then a lot more collectibles stacked to the rafters, a library of congress full of TPBs, and of course an *ocean* of back issues. The staff is awesome, the ambiance is great, this place will never let you down. If they had a room in back I'd move in and never leave. read more

Whenever I am in Boulder a visit to Time Warp is always a worthwhile occasion. The store carried all of the new titles, has an huge trade paperback and hardcover selection, and a terrific selection of back issue from the silver age comics. I love looking at the statues on display that are for sale. If you like to file through boxes of bargain comics they've got those also. Clean and organized, it has a nicely claustrophobic feel that I love in a great comic book shop. Friendly staff. Easy to find. Lots of parking. Very nice. read more

Love Time Warp! They have sooooo much stuff that you can easily spend hours just working from shelf to shelf. I have. The store has a very cool feel, kinda similar to my old east coast shops I grew up around. New Yorkers would feel right at home. CO has a lot of great options but this place is my favorite. Huge selection of indie trades, too. read more
