They have a loyalty program, where if you spend 5 dollars on one item, you get a punch on a punch card, But all their items in the store are priced at 4.75 so you never qualify for a single punch. They do this intentionally to fuck people over. It's cheaper to buy your items on Amazon anyways, you should avoid this store and shop somewhere else. read more

My child has gotten into Nintendo switch. While I played video games when I was a child, at that time there was only a jump button and a joystick. Now we've got MMORGS and controllers that shift and morph into different types of controllers, it's all Greek to me. As a TCG player, Level 7 is pretty terrible. They charge double the market standard for casual tournaments, and "ban" anybody that even questions their pricing model. I've visited Colorado a couple of times in th past two years and Level 7 Games has been one of the highlights. My husband and I have visited every location and were in awe of the selection and amazing customer service. We were even given a free t-shirt as a gift when the manager heard we were on our honeymoon. They have games for pretty much any console you can think of. We were able to get a working copy of Conkers Bad Fur Day for N64 for a reasonable price! Which we had been searching for!They have tons of fun pop culture merch, including stickers and plush toys (I am quite the enthusiast). These guys are Rad! They told it would be a week to fix my ailing PS4. It took 2 days. They charged me half of what they said as it was fixable without having to replace parts. I called Level 7 ahead of time to see if they would be interested and they were friendly on the phone. They have several locations in the Denver Metro area so I chose the closest location to my work which was on Alameda. The staff was awesome and really friendly. It turned out that my Game Boy had been loved to the point of no return but they still offered to buy the games. The whole process was quick, friendly and efficient. They have tons of old game systems and classic games for NES, SNES, Genesis, Wii, 360 and PS2/3. It's a treasure trove for game nerds and you will go in and just feel overwhelmed by how much amazing nostalgia is in there. And the staff is super friendly. This is the used gaming store, that i have been yearning for. Basically, think of the exact opposite of what gamestop is, and you get this place. The staff is OVER-THE-TOP, friendly, helpful, and will offer you reasonable rates on your trade in. Where as, gamestop's staff will knowingly offer you a rip-off with a smile on their face, these guys were too honest for that. I went in to trade some old PS2 games (which typically don't earn much), and got a controller with a game, which equalled a little more than the value of my trade, without any reservation or awkward negotiation between me and the staff. I wish i could remember the name of the...not one, but two employees that not only helped me trade up my stuff, but were very knowledgeable with specific gaming type of questions that i had. Literally, the only thing that could be better than this place, is amazon.com or an online store. But as far as retail, this place is hard to beat. read more

They specialize in retro games, but also carry all the new releases. New stock comes into the stores all the time, so make sure to check back often. They didn't try to sell me preorders, a magazine subscription, a loyalty card, DLC, The Brooklyn Bridge, a handful of magic beans, a South Pacific island, or an extended warranty. They didn't demand my phone number, my ID, and for me to fill out a form attesting that my trade-ins were not stolen merchandise. I simply walked in, purchased the game I wanted, and was out the door in three minutes. Basically, they are the anti-Gamestop. Plus, there are 16-year-olds in hoodies drinking Everclear in the parking lot, which rules. read more

This is my favorite game store and here's why... First and foremost, the staff is top notch. Anyone operating a game store would be jealous of the people that run this place. Knowledge, experience, friendliness. That's they best way to describe my interactions with the folks there. Prices are very reasonable. Selection is decent and of course, always changing. Passion. That's another thing I appreciate about this place. For example, I was curious about a particular title, and decided to ask Derrick and Elijah about it. Now, over time, these guys have come to learn the types of games I look for, what I don't like, et cetera. When I questioned about specifics with regard to the title, he informed me that he didn't think I would like it, and then began to explain why. I was trusting of Derrick's opinion, as he then recommended a different game that was more my speed. Bait and switch? Hardly! The game he directed me to sold for a lot less. Recommending a good game for a fellow gamer came first and foremost, and that gesture seriously earned my respect. So! Drop by! Say hi, buy a game, bring quarters for the arcade! People here are great. Derrick, Jon, Elijah, Robert (sorry if I forgot any one) - every one I talked to has been totally awesome and helpful. If they don't have it I go to the Bay.
