What can a fellow nerd say except wow this place rocks! This was my first visit, I was referred by another business, and I was looking for a power cord for my Super Nintendo. I was warmly welcomed in seconds by a gentleman behind the counter. I was quickly led to where my power cord was and not only was the price very fair, they had the choice of the real thing and an off brand. As I continued to look around, a father and his son came up to me and said how great the staff was and how long they had been coming to shop there. An employee named Jim heard I was trying to track down some protective sleeves for my nes games and he gave me some free sleeves plus a great deal on some matching cases for some games I already had. I have worked in hospitality for 20 plus years and I haven't experienced amazing service like that in a long time. Also, if you are a card guy they have a ridiculous selection. After visiting Game Force in Boulder I was ecstatic to find out there is another location. The reviews were really good too. Unfortunately I had a completely different experience. The staff wasn't very attentive and seemed like I was bothering them each time I asked for assistance. There were three Gamecube games I wanted. Upon review of the discs it was clear they would not play without skipping or freezing. There were deep scratches on al three. Yet Game Force was charging $20-$30 for them. This was quite disappointing. When looking at some of their Game Boy selection there were a few in the box that were cheap knock offs of real games. These were not labeled as such. Half of their selection are reproduction games. This is definitely a store I will skip next time I'm in town. Go to nearby Doc's instead. read more

This is a pretty cool store. They have a great selection of games old and new. The guy at the counter (not sure if he's the owner or not) is really nice and he will give you great service. He will give you a lifetime warranty on cartridge games, 3 weeks on discs, and he will run your disc in the scratch-repair machine whether it looks bad or not. The only downside to this place is that the prices are a little steeper than most other used game stores, but it's worth it for the quality of the inventory read more

Overall the best selection and most friendly service I've ever seen in any game store. At least 90% of my collection is made up of games from Game Force and its still growing. Every time I come in there's always something new or old for me to check out and I shop here pretty often. Great selection of games from NES to newer consoles. I really think they should be encouraging photo's to bring in more customers. It's not the best old-school gaming shop in town by any stretch anymore, but it's the OG Aurora shop that everybody remembers from their childhood. Although, which side of the intersection your fondest memories of this store took place on varies by age. It was right behind Carl's Jr back in my day! It's a nice "depository" to have around when you're searching for that one title and the other shops around don't have a copy, but that's not to say their selection is out of this world. It's a pretty small store unit and the selection can be very poor depending on your consoles of choice. The stars are mostly for sentimental purposes; this shouldn't be your first stop. read more

Wine gets better with age.. so does Game Force! In the early 2000's I split my business between GF and Buy Back Games. They had a location off Holly St that I rode my bike to when I was.. 10? As Buy Back Games closed and GF moved, I noticed that things weren't as cool as they once were. Almost had a run down feeling. Today, I went in and was shocked how clean it was and how full the shop was. So many COOL and affordable products, from legacy Sega stuff to used Switch games, they had it all. Great prices too. They really have an opportunity to gouge prices considering the massive retro gaming wave happening right now. Given, it is a retail store so things are more expensive than buying some broken crap on eBay. But, they'll stand behind it and test it, and you can get it today. More, now than ever, we should be supporting our small businesses and this is one that will be a Colorado landmark for a long time to come! Final note, I bought a Switch for Xmas but immediately hid it to keep it from my kids. We're coming from a Wii and have never used a Switch. Joe was super helpful, considering my lack of knowledge, and explained things to me that may be easy to him, but was valuable knowledge for me. Game Force is an excellent shop to find classic video games from the 8-bit and 16-bit eras. They have some of the newer games as well, but it's not really their bread and butter. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Trading in a large amount of hardware for cash can be difficult as they don't often have much money on hand, but if you're OK with store credit they do give you good value for what you bring in. Prices are probably fair, but to be honest you can probably beat them online. That said the guys at Game Force are quick to spot fakes and their expertise is helpful to the collector. If you're looking for something odd, let them know and if they don't have it they can find it for you or are willing to point you in the right direction for it. There is also a huge collection of DVDs and Blu Rays to be had if you're just looking to expand your movie library as well. read more

I shopped around all of metro Denver, and I have to say, price, trade in value, customer service, and cleanliness is all 5 full stars. One minor complaint is, I wish it was bigger and every game was easy to see. I get it, lol they would need the space of Macy's at park meadows to accommodate the inventory. But, if they are not busy, staff will stroll you through anything and everything! Amazing! They have nearly everything. If they don't, they will eventually. I was recommended by Gamestop that Game Force was a very nice place to find many items that are very hard to find else where, so I immediately called the store Tom answered my phone call I explained my son is Autistic and his speech is not very clear but he's looking for Skylander crystals and I can't quite understand which ones he is trying to say that he's looking for ? Tom ask me to put my son on speaker phone then he said Hi buddy can you tell me what it is your looking for ~ something no one has ever done before Tom took the time to listen to my child try to explain what he is looking for he talked for over 10 minutes to him and my lil man was so excited at the end of the conversation to find out Tom had multiple items he was looking for the following day we drove almost an hour to visit this store and we we're treated with such compassion and kindness something you don't see much these days ! This place is a nostalgia punch in the feels. Not only is it awesome to see all of the old games you have forgotten about, but the staff is incredibly friendly and can talk nerd all day long.
