The Archive has many new releases from Vinegar Syndrome, Severin Films, and Arrow Videos. A huge selection of used and extremely hard to find DVDs/Blu Rays and VHS. Need a laser disc player? Come here. Prices are reasonable, and you can also sell your old tapes here too (just send them a DM on Instagram first as they have high standards ) Not to mention the events that bring the film community together like the VHS swap. We love visiting and always enjoy chatting with Teresa, the manager.

Movies that are specialized here are more cult classics, grindhouse and exploitative type films but wow, oh wow... what a selection. I don't think I have seen anything like this since the 90's. The lady that worked here was super awesome and sweet and knew all about Scarecrow Video, a nonprofit movie rental store and perhaps the last surviving one in Seattle and Movie Madness which is similar in Portland, Oregon so that just upped the coolness factor considerably. Some of these DVD's that are on sale here are pretty rare and the price reflects that on some of them. Some of the Maniac Cop movies I was looking at weren't exactly standard DVD prices. But I suppose it's justified since these are DVD's of films that are really, quite hard to reach in some cases. I bought a DVD, the first Maniac Cop and took it home to marvel at but I will definitely be coming back for sure next time I visit the Denver area. You can spend a considerable amount of time going through the selection and find a whole bunch of films that you haven't heard of before and discover new ones with a story or concept you would take an interest to in adding to your DVD collection at home.

I mostly frequent the Brass Armadillo and some shops on Colfax, and admittedly didn't know this gem was waiting for me in Aurora. We went on a Saturday late-morning, and were greeted cheerfully and with an excellent explanation of the store. We were offered help as we browsed the locked cases upstairs, and we ambled the huge sprawling basement footprint as well. The sheer size of this place was impressive. There are a variety of item types (records, costume jewelry, taxidermy, kitchen goods, clothing, upcycled decor, etc.) and aesthetic styles, so really something for everyone. We found some particularly fun vendors in the basement. It felt like it could be easy to get carried away here, in the best possible way. Currently, many (most?) of the vendors have a holiday discount in place too, and we managed to walk away with some well priced treasures. Definitely stop by if you like the thrill of the hunt, and I'm confident the folks at Heirlooms Antique Mall will take care of you.

It may look like just another store front among other businesses from bustling Havana St, but I can assure you, it's more than what meets the eye. I was introduced to this spot via a Yelp event and have been back every single year ever since because inside the two massive levels, are some of the most unique antiques, vintage finds and interesting pieces - yet to be discovered! Various collectors and vintage sellers alike, sell odds and ends throughout the space. Upon entry, it can be overwhelming, but the friendly faces at the front are quick to assist - aka provide directions, sale options and open any cases you may need access to. Very helpful and friendly, indeed! My husband and I ventured here to look around and easily spent 2 hours looking at each booth, finding things that piqued our interest and ended up coming home with us! It's almost impossible to get see it all, so when you see something you like, snag it, because it may not be there again! Inventory turns over fast! Worth a stop in!!
